Freehuh  shocked  grin  kiss

Ah! Joagbaje you have now become my bestest friend in this section!

Let this be a warning to all posters, anyborri who messes with my best friend Joagbaje will receive instant deletion of posts and subsequent banning.

Alright seriously, Joagbaje, I am sorry if you feel like the mods have let you down and allowed personal attacks on you. I can tell you there is nothing personal and we have no vendetta against you even though I disagree with a lot of your views. Please please please report any instances on the mod thread (since it looks like the 'report to mod link' has not gone thru for you) and we will do our best to make this place happy and comfortable for you & everyone else. Does this solution work for you?

Nobody is 'hot'. Its good for things/issues like these to be out in the interest of full disclosure. Believe it or not, I am learning a few things on here that I can do better as a mod. At the end of the day, like I said to DS, nobody is anybody's enemy here. Everyone makes mistakes around here including the mods. I once told Jo that I liked his artwork . . . when I visit Naija, I hope to buy one from him - if he will agree to sell to me self.

@Jesoul
Having an opinion to yourself is different from bias . you are like a judge, emotions aside , you should deal with facts. You should investigate a matter you are not clear with. Kings judge righteously
I'm not sure what you're on about here. Saying I do not believe you actually raised someone from the dead is 'bias'?

You are wrong ,I only on few occasion had to respond hard on some of the naughty words which are uncalled for. It was always in response. I had clicked on the report button to moderators several times. To report such issues
At least you admit you have tossed a few stones yourself. And it should not be hard to reproduce the report . I have not gotten any reports from you that I can remember (unless its some kind of glitch with the system). Besides, the mod thread is on top on the page, you can always report there.

So in other words ,the forum is a lawless place?  Why should murdlely be banned?

So why were you peeing in your pants over mudely posts and removing the "offensive" things. Why locking threads. If you say no rules fine , but be consistent. And if you say there are rules, then kindly do your job.
The rest of this is not worthy of a response.

MyJoe:
Howdy JeSoul

I think I should say this in response to your post above. I am personally not aware he has hounded anyone, revealed their real names, or plastered the content of their private exchanges on threads – maybe I missed those threads. But my understanding of this whole business is that he is persecuted by some of the Christians because they fear his brand of gospel poses a danger to the flock of Jesus Christ – something that does not apply to Mazaje or Thehomer that you mentioned. That is the point Deep Sight appears to have missed in his defence of Joagbaje and it is worth highlighting. For me, the question that then arises is if the methods adopted will change or bring any solution to the situation, in fact, whether they will do any good.
Good points Mysir and I do agree on some. I did state in my very first post on this thread that the personal stuff should be stopped and private communications are better off left private . . . that part of my quote joagbaje conveniently left out.

Nevertheless, I encourage my fellow section members to go easy with him. Feel free to express yourselves with the usual fervence but please try to put a lid on the personal stuff. In the pointing out of perceived differences in doctrine, lets all try to be civil and brotherly, such that we can look back and be proud of how we acted/treated each other because none of us is beyond fault or error.
^But no, he only chose to see the criticism - one of the problems I have with posters like him. They go all up in arms when they're called out, but will scarcely acknowledge they too are at fault.

Say, a newly converted Christian comes to nairaland and the first thing he comes across is this. Would he have been more edified if he saw a thread titled "Joagbaje’s Views Examined in Light of Scripture", and then a scripture-by-scripture rebuttal of “heresy” is attempted? I might be told this has been done in the past, but sorry, I have seen much more insults than anything else directed at him.
Recall the interview thread I did on him? https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-551666.0.html
Is he dispproportionately 'attacked'? of course. But he has come to be a leader of sorts of a brand of christianity that is severely disliked in this section & around the forum and people are voicing their opinions - that the mods cannot do anything about. When WOF/MOG topics make front page, are the mods supposed to tell people not to disproportionately critisize them?

Of course, I perfectly understand that conversations can get heated and hot words used. But calling someone a "hypocrite" or an "offspring of viper" is different from resorting to certain low methods to try to destroy his character - or is it e-character? smiley
As far as I know it is only Nuke that has revealed any private (and unsolicited as he says) communication with Jo. The rest has been the usual 'hypocrit' etc etc . . . that is what he is expecting the mods to stop?

And, of course, I don’t buy any attempt to pass off government college burden-house type bullying as a small matter. But maybe I’m one of the oversensitive ones.
Lol . . . ah, I think you are. I'm with Tonye on this . . . a lot of this is much ado about nothing.

Joagbaje:
@Jesoul

As a moderator, I expect you to be neutral , but the bias you show is not healthy. Firstly I didn't use the word "I raise the dead" secondly, it is inconsequential if I did use it. What I think I said was something like " God raised a dead through me" or so.  I wasn't the one who laid hands on her directly, but I prayed with the person. A simple prayer of intercession, that God should grant her opportunity to be saved. I supplied the number of the brother who laid hands on her on my instruction. And she came back to life. There have been numerous cases all over the world of dead being raised. Why should Christians find it hard to believe that the name of Jesus can bring dead to life. Why would I lie for Jesus , wont it be a sin against me. He won't commend me for lying to praise his name. The testimony is true. And as a moderator,if you don't believe. Simply investigate. But if you won't investigate, it will be wrong and bias of you to be taking sides.
Long story. The fact I'm a mod does not mean I cannot have an opinion.

I don't have multiple ids, I have only one which is "joagbaje" . I have used posted with Mabel before and I explained and apologised . We used same system and she didn't log out.  We all have different ways of expression, and it is glaring that I am not Mabel.  That's about years ago.it could have happen to any one.    It's not only once  I had such experience. If I visit a town where I have a Nairaland friend , we hook up, and if I find your system on, I may just browse, just for browsing sake and before I know it I have responded to a post, forgetting this is not my home. I have had three experiences like that but no one knew because , I modified it when I realised.

The I.D I deliberately used was akhozem. It was a friend in benin . And it was an acronym of his edo name. I don't even remember the names now except I check the SMS he sent .
Okay we have heard you.

Some of my friends had asked me to change I.D. Because of the incessant attacks on my personality. Which are against Nairaland rules. People revealing my I.D, Location ,etc. Someone going to my face book to publish people's pictures  from my foto album. It was obvious they want to silence me, or force me out of this forum. I had refused to change my I.D . Because it would be as though they won. I was initially counting on moderators like you for action. But you turned blind eyes. I don't know why.

This is what Nairaland rules says:

If you moderators are relied upon to bring sanity to forum and you allow nuisance and support it, what do we have left.

Akhozem offered I should use his ID since I refused to open new one. The privacy attack was getting too much. I didn't know what I may expect next. If someone will come and snap me unclothed in my bathroom and post it here. So I decided to use akhozem . Especially after t TONYE . Did his own exposure on me . I still didn't know his intention.

Akhozem style is different from mine. The first post I  made with akhozem was very obvoious. Someone immediately asked if It was joagbaje, conscience won't make me deny, but it was difficult to admit either. So i didn't answer yes or no. I used akhozem to praise joagbaje post because of that incidence. I wanted to take his eyes off me. That's the only wrong I see I might have done.   There is no big deal in admitting I opened new ID.  If I had . It'ssimpler to explain that way. But I didn't open the ID . I took it over. That's the truth. And I was never comfortable with it. Because I didn't have freedom. I couldn't quote scriptures .

What about the forum rules being broken ,all these years which prompted my action. Why wasnt anything anything done in response to all my complains ?

Without banning anybody,If the highlighted above had been given as a response to my complains it would have meant a lot. All I got was silence and moderator praising someone for harassing me.
Are you seriously complaining about being 'insulted'? seriously? please remove the log from your eyes. You yourself have offered up 'insults' and 'attacks' on others as well. We should only 'act' when it is you who is offended? Respect others and they will return the favor. Don't expect the mods to 'bail you out' of your own mess. It is not a coincidence even atheist posters like homer and Mazaje never get 'attacked' in this section. They are model citizens that many christians here can learn from.

And you keep talking about "you've complained to the mods and they did nothing" . . . really? please kindly reproduce any messages or posts on the mod thread that we did not respond to. Playing the victim card here and expecting sympathy will not cut it at all. Try something else.

Deep Sight:
^Criticism, I have abundantly lived with - you know that. No worries there. But this new turn of insults based on revelations of private communications is just beneath all dignity and gentlemanliness. As it happens, the communication is open above. I just can't believe anyone would do that, and its clear that participation here has become unhealthy. That is the reason. Enough said.
On that I agree that private should for the most part remain private and I'm sure PastorAIO - for all that we have come to know and love about him - did not intend to insult you and I daresay wishes he didn't reveal as much as he did.

I personally hope that you will find it in strength of spirit to look beyond anything that has hurt you in this thread and stick around. Its only one private email that has surfaced on you now isn't it? Everyone else is talking NL. In spite of what 'christians' as a whole think of you in this section, you are one of the most valuable posters here . . . and I say so just as honestly as I laid out my criticisms.

And like I said initially, if my skepticism was out of place, please ignore them. I (and everyone else) am certainly not without my shortcomings on NL.
Christianity EtcRe: The Gospel According To Joagbaje by JeSoul(f): 1:57pm On Jun 14, 2011
Oh my at all that has transpired . . . I didn't intend to 'attack' DS or open this box (and hope it didn't come off that way) but I have never been one to hold back my honest assessment.

PastorAIO, I kinda wish you didn't reveal the private communicae. You could've still made the point without it sir.

Deepsight,
don't you think you're being overly sensitive? For someone as learned and intelligent as you, this is a marketplace of ideas and personalities, if you cannot learn to take criticism with a pinch of salt and pepper then I dunno what to say. In this same forum I have praised, lauded and shown immense respect to you - you didn't complain then. Even recently, I made a point to contribute on your threads as a show that there are no hard feelings in spite of all our differences, you didn't complain then. But a word of criticism and you're all up in arms.

You're just upset right now. Go have a glass of that beer you're always having and come back after you've calmed down. Contrary to what you might think, nobody is your enemy here.

Deep Sight:
I thank you. I am glad that you do recognise "the innocence" of my intent, and you noted that that risked making me appear biased. I was and remain all too aware of the risk of that appearance, for most people would jump to the conclusion that one agrees with Jo, whereas one does not.
Honestly, I am skeptical about the "innocence of your intent" . . . considering how you've made your contempt for the christian faith well known around here. Pleading for tolerance & longsufferance in this case seems to me inconsistent and that your defending of Jo is perhaps a silent 'attack' on the virtue your known doctrinal opponents like Enigma and Nuke.

^but if that is wrong and you're genuine, that'll be a good thing, seeing my skepticism of your motives is utterly irrelevant in the grand picture. Cheers.
Christianity EtcRe: The Gospel According To Joagbaje by JeSoul(f): 8:05pm On Jun 13, 2011
While Joagbaje has indeed come under an unprecedented amount of negative press and attention in the section, I can't help but feel that he needs blame no one but himself. The kind of claims/comments he makes are a lightning rod for controversy.

I mean when you boldly claim you raised someone from the dead . . . why won't people be all over your case? Furthermore it is true he has been caught in a lie about multiple ids, PastorAIO's thread was on point in that regard. So people criticizing him are well within their borders. For those wondering 'why the mods are not doing anything about it', it is not the job of mods to muzzle free speech . . . as long as no one is breaking forum rules (and we have not gotten any complaints by the way).

The best Nigerian low calorie diet, in my opinion, is one not involving much Nigerian food. No matter how we change it, our food is fattening.
But then think about it sister, which cultures' food is not fattening? American? Mexican? European? Its only those bony asians that eat everything raw that have relatively low calorie foods. I believe most foods are okay as long as you can creatively substitute sketchy ingredients with healthier ones - and like you said, everything in moderation - not eba and egusi everyday.

DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki's sinus infection and the ensuing storyline apparently was a source of amusement for Miami Heat superstars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James before Game 5.

As they walked out of American Airlines Center after Thursday morning's shootaround, Wade and James pretended to cough and wheeze, smirking as they repeatedly covered their mouths with their shirts while being filmed by Miami CBS affiliate WFOR.

"Whoa, did y'all hear me cough? I think I'm sick," Wade said before turning toward James and chuckling.
