@ JeSoul,

Which teams dey lead the conferences now. . .as in what's the log table like now?
Here it is sir smiley. Boston on top in the eastern conf, and SanAntonio on top the west. SanAntonio is the best in the league right now. And I am suprised Dallas inspite of the recent slew of losses because of Dirk's absense has still managed to stay on top and even pull ahead of the Lakers into the 2nd spot. Very impressive A-40.

does God hear the prayer of an unbeliever. i think the only prayer God can hear from an unbeliever is the prayer of salvation.
The real question here I think is - who are we to know or assume what kinds of prayers, and from which kinds of people ('believer' or 'unbeliever'), that God can/can't or will/won't hear?

SportsRe: NBA Season 2010/11 by JeSoul(f): 5:45pm On Feb 04, 2011
West AllStars:
Starters
Kevin Durant
Carmelo Anthony
Kobe Bryant
Chris Paul
Yao Ming (Injured)

Reserves
Tim Duncan
Pau Gasol
Blake Griffin
Manu Ginobili
Dirk Nowitzki
Russell Westbrook
Deron Williams

"Snubs"
Kevin Love
LaMarcus Aldridge
Steve Nash
Monta Ellis

East AllStars:
Starters
LeBron James
Amare Stoudemire
Dwyane Wade
Derrick Rose
Dwight Howard

Reserves
Ray Allen
Chris Bosh
Kevin Garnett
Al Horford
Joe Johnson
Paul Pierce
Rajon Rondo

"Snubs"
Carlos Boozer
Andrew Bogut
Joakim Noah

My take - the eastern conf all-star selections are 100% correct. As for the west . . . what is Pau Gasol doing there and Kevin Love is left off? He'll prob be picked by the league to replace Yao Ming but still . . . I can't believe they picked gasoft over the monster that is KLove. One can make an argument for Steve Nash as well, though his team hasn't done well so you can't reward that. Dirk may not play, so he may also be replaced with one of the snubs. Lets wait n see . . .
TV/MoviesRe: Whats Wrong With Superman by JeSoul(f): 5:18pm On Feb 04, 2011
While Routh was a little flat, I don't think he was really the problem.

They turned the Superman franchise into a dam mushy-wushy love story. It was the focus of the movie instead of the action, the duel with Luthor. Nothing memorable about the villian - which is what is supposed to drive a "super-hero" themed movie.

What they should really say on those cooking shows:

"Hello and welcome to 'Pointless Cooking That Has Nothing To Do With Anyone's Actual Life'. Today, we are making 1a very complicated recipe, 2using ingredients you don't have, 3utensils you've never heard of, and 4in a kitchen that is bigger than your whole bleeping house."
ROTFLOL . . . this is 1000% true grin for the Iron Chefs, Next FN Star etc. That's why its simply fun to just watch the highest artistic form of cooking.

However regular shows like Rachel's 30-min meals, Barefoot contessa, down home with the Neely's etc are specifically targeted for the regular folks/kitchens. Even Chopped though its a competition uses ingredients and utensils that can be done by the average person.

Am gonna try to hit the nail on the head, as you know say armed robber torry for Naija long pass Phd Thesis grin grin grin grin

They came in around 2am. . I wasn't even sleeping then, i was on the phone doing midnight calls when i heard my 3 dogs barking furiously as if the world was gonna end. Immediatelyy, i knew that armed robbers were inside my compund. I told the person i was talking to that "e be like say dem boys don come o". As soon  as i said that i heard staccato of deafening gunshots. . It felt like the shooter was next to me.

I was aalready "mara-ing and panting" and questioning why i came to Naija o. They were about 10, they came with Ak's and a lotta other guns. Jesoul, they packed HEAT to the TILT!!!. . .no be Sara-Palin-moose-killing-type-of-heat-oooo. . . No be yeye NRA kind of heat. This guns looked like Soviet-made Cuban AK's. The types you find in Chechenya and Fallujah (pre-surge).

So they  were shooting inside my compound and they were screaming that we open. We didnt, as we all hid in our courtyard(very secured with iron doors), so they sliced thru our burglary (Kick-@ss, huh) grin grin grin to enter the house. We were still hiding. They were screaming and shoooting in my sitting room (the next day we found Bullet holes in the walls, sliding windows, kitchen everywhere., a lotta pellets/bullet inside ma house)

They were still unable to get into the court yard. . .one way or the other, they saw a tiny hidden window that leads to the courtyard and they saw us. Since they knew they couldnt break the metal doors and since they knew they couldnt pass thru that small window, they started firing at us from the courtyardwindow straight into the courtyard !!the place we were hiding and lyding down were riddled with bullets BUT nothing touched us! Thanks to God. So, we told them we would open it.

When they came in, they put a gun to my head (that stuff was as cold as a dog's nose) and were screaming that i was the one who orchestrated the resistance to open the door abi and that i was the one shouting Ole!!! In a split second and in a moment i would never forget EVER, my old woman (mom) pushed me aside and stood in front of the gun and faced the thieves and she was on her knees begging them not to shoot cry cry cry cry

We opened the door and they led us out to our respective rooms. They took Rikky Ricardo grin grin in too and stripped me of my hard earned monies and dispossessed my parents of their stuffs . When they were done, they left without hurting nobody. Thank God

Being traumatized was an understatement! I had never seen such a brazen style wild wild west, gung-ho style robbery before

Ok, access to my house was supposed to be hard. With all humility, my house is  fortknox-like. 2 huge gates before you get to my  gate, Tall-back-yarrd fence with bottles on it and an additional barbed-wire on the bottles, with 3 dogs wey dem dey mix alcohol for to drink for night  grin grin. My buddies usually call my house toll-gate. lol.Upon all nko, armed robbers breached. My point ? Only God should be your security. Even in America, Not ADT or those yeye alarm. . .God should be your security o ma sista!

And here lies in my testimony. JeSoul and Everybody help me praise God ooooooooooo
shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked this is beyond . . .  shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked  shocked

wow. just wow. So dem take gun, press am against your head and you're here alive to tell the story?  shocked  shocked Praise God for real!!! and thank you to mother, stepping in like that. Wow Rikkycardo, I am extremely thankful you and your family were spared. Kai! so na for news we for see this story? God forbid! Naija!  angry  angry  God will punish you for your sins!  angry  angry

Do you think those robbers probably got word that someone was from yankee in the house? and specifically targeted your house? That seems to be the logical explanation for why they wouldn't give up and came over-prepared. Mehn, this is a tale for the ages. I pray you never have to witness anything like this ever again in your life. Kai! Naija! sometimes I utterly hate you  angry

Welcome back ehn Rikky. No more naija visit for you for at least 10yrs. That's an order. Indianapolis is home. Drill that into your head quick quick. And some wonder why nigerians abroad turn their back completely on the country.

e36991:
Watched this the other day but I dont know . . .

Maybe its me or the open & observable display of narcissism in the video that put a downer on this tune featuring Pastor Bimbo Odukoya's son.
Let us know what you think of the whole package (i.e. lyrics, montage, video shoot, message, the hook etc)
Well, he won't be the first loose canon to claim rights to pastorhood. Zero on all the above.

He's saying how hot and sexy he is, with his gucci glasses and fly clothes, he cannot decide which car from his garage from the BMW to Mercedes he wants to drive, "I'm a dope & hot pastor" he says, he occasionally throws in a "God" & "Jesus" in the lyrics to 'remind' us it is a 'gospel' video. Epic fail on all counts. Can anyone point out anything here that gives glory to God? or edifies your soul? did you learn anything useful? other than to make you lust and covet for the 'riches' that he has?

@POSTER - this video is a prime example of so-called gospel music that is really poison to the soul.

  e36691,
what can one say? This is the pop-tart, bling-bling, prosperity infested generation of 'christians' whose depth of maturity is about 1/100th inch thick. They show us by their brazen actions that their grasp of the true gospel is nothing more than a handful of air. Cold air. Its a darn shame. And he cannot even rap self. *insert hiss here*

@All, sorry if I sound harsh . . . its just that people like this that bring disrepute to the name of Christ and mislead many really aggravate me.

alexleo:
nobody will tell you the music you should listen to. He (the Holy Spirit) will guide you into all truths.
Absolutely spot on.

@poster, its really as simple as that. There are 'gospel' music that you should not listen to, and there are 'secular' music that are an absolute blessing to the spirit/soul. Just because its labeled 'gospel' doesn't mean its good. As you get more and more mature in Christ and tuned in to the Holy Spirit, you'll be able to tell the difference btw what you should/shouldn't listen to, watch on tv, places to go etc.

All in all, when judging about a piece of music, the general criteria I personally use are these:
1- does this music glorify/honor God (or godly principles)?
2- does this music edify my heart, spirit or does it inspire me? what kinds of thoughts, emotions does it evoke in my mind while I listen to it?

You can tell a lot about a person when you see the kind of music they listen to, because it is what you feed your soul that it will grow on.

Memento is flawless!
If by flawless you mean flawless in its total and utter incompetency . . . then I'm with you! smiley Mehn, Vieira sorry oh, but I haven't even begun to diss Memento yet. That was just an introduction. The producers/writers should be bound and tied to a huge cactus plant, stripped nekkid, and then shot at 1minute intervals with tatase & okro loaded shotguns right in their eyes and behinds. And between intervals, dump bird feed on them and let loose a legion of pidgeons to eat off them. Then resume with the pepper guns again.

And this is just day 1 of 30 of their punishment.

doyin13:
I preferred the Tim Burton Batmen cause they never took themselves seriously. . .Any allusions to seriousness or some profoundness in a film where the protagonist wears a cape and has 300 like abs once he dons a suit are ridiculous. The Bale batman needs to lighten up a bit and more. Plus the Dark Knight film was bloody long. Like Kilode. almost three hours.

The same thing with the Inception film. Dreams are such an intriguing subject, there is a reason we only get them when we are asleep. And that is promptly what I did after about an hour of the film. SLEEP.
Kai! lol . . .  grin  grin

And oh, @all,
It came to my attention few months ago that the concept behind Inception is actually NOT new. Some of you may know my big sister Jennifer Garner, the series she acted called "Alias". Yes. I've been rewatching the entire series from season 1 and lo and behold, a particular episode (in season 3) that is literally a 1-hr Inception. Almost identical the Inception writer must be the same person or took a big bite from them. So I retract my earlier praise of calling Inception novel . . . somebody owes somebody on Alias plenty of royalties for biting on their idea . . . unless of course it turns out to be the same script-writer.
