Wishful thinking.
Last Las I still blame that docile President in Aso Rock for all of APC's problems. No you are the one who is doing the wishful thinking. Now look at this: APC has multiple contenders and if they all go to the poll, PDP will have the single largest voting block just as it happened in 2015. PDP will then decide who wins. Think again man. |

Politics › Re: Saraki's 317 Votes, Quran 31:7 And Bible 31:7 By Abdulrazaq O Hamzat by jjmk(m): 4:34pm On Oct 12, 2018 |
bilms: Quran 31:7 and Bible 31:7
During the just concluded PDP presidential election, Bukola Saraki scored 317 votes, behind Aminu Tambuwal and Atiku Abubakar.
Some people have taken this score to the Quran for explanation, believing that there is a message for the Senate President in Quran 31:7.
In Quran 31:7, Allah said " And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness.
So give him tidings of a painful punishment" the verse concluded.
It is believed that, the painful punishment being refered to in this verse could also be extended to the fatal defeat the Senate President will suffer in 2019 general election.
This is so because, apart from the failure he would suffer in his national politics, a greater failure awaits him at the local level, in which for the first since taking over in 2003, he would be thoroughly beaten in Kwara State and his dynasty will most certainly collapse.
It was believed that the score of Bukola Saraki 317 and the message in Quran 31:7 is indirectly telling us what awaits the arrogant fellow, who walks away when being told that the people cannot be taken for granted like he has continued to do.
Even the bible is not so silent on the matter.
In bible 3:17, it says
"They fought against Midian, as the Lordcommanded Moses, and killed every man".
But that verse didn't stop there, it continued by explaining how it happened. 8. Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba—the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.
9 The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder.
10 They burned all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps.
11 They took all the plunder and spoils, including the people and animals,
12 and brought the captives, spoils and plunder to Moses and Eleazar the priest and the Israelite assembly at their camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.
Many believed that apart from the leader, all his lieutenants, aiding the exploitation of the state will also be dislodged completely, as Kwara will gain it's freedom from political servitude and mindless godfatherism.
Although, there is some elements of violence in the biblical narration, but what will take place in Kwara will be peaceful, through democratic means. All Kwarans are ready with their PVC.
May Allah spare us all beyond 2019.
Good Morning
Kwara Must Change There is nothing like Bible 3:17 or Bible 31:7. If I did this to your Quran I am very sure u would have come for my head. Pls don't ridicule the Bible just to prove a point. |

cbrass: The Chairman Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN)
Dear Sir
My attention has been brought to a statement credited to the Gbenga Olawepo - Hashim Presidential campaign organization dated September 28, 2018 and signed by its Director General, Rt. Hon. Terseer Tsumba which insinuates the following:
1. That a “certain Presidential aspirant is fronting for some powerful interests in the All Progressive Congress (APC) to destabilize the Alliance for New Nigeria”
Being the only other Presidential Aspirant apart from Mr. Hashim on our great party, it is important that I respond to these false & misleading allegations.
For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to inform you that I have never been a member of any political party prior to joining the Alliance for New Nigeria on the 22nd of February, 2018, nor have I ever supported or been associated with any political party, especially the All Progressive Congress (APC)
2. “This Presidential Aspirant pretending to be campaigning for the Office of President launched a series of attacks on the party in the build up to her congresses and National Convention”
As you are aware, there were several concerns that myself, Dr. Thomas Wilson Ikubese & Dr. (Mrs) Elishama Ideh had about the direction our party was going as we didn’t feel the principles of fair play and true democracy that had drawn us to ANN were being upheld.
We had communicated our concerns via email to the Interim Chairman, Dr. Jay Samuels and copied the Board of Trustees and we decided at the time, not to attend the previous National Convention scheduled for the 11th of August, 2018.
Please let it be known for the record that I never at any time, used a public statement to “attack the party”
3. “This is in order to foist a prematurely organized Presidential Primary election on the party with the intent of producing a desired outcome by the ruling APC”
As a non Executive member of the Alliance for New Nigeria, I am not privy to deliberations of the National Working Committee or Board of Trustees, therefore, I can not be responsible for decisions the party makes towards scheduling conventions or primary elections.
4. “This so called Presidential Aspirant also circulated disparaging remarks aimed at impugning the credibility of our principal in social media...”
Such statements are contrary to my personal values, one of which is to “care and show respect through my words and actions”.
I have consistently run a unifying campaign that promotes values of respect & decency, without any direct or indirect attack on any candidate and have maintained a cordial relationship with Mr. Olawepo - Hashim.
I presume that our party is committed to principles of Transparency, Integrity & Excellence (TIE) in the quest for free and fair primaries.
I would appreciate if you could kindly look into and address these issues.
My continued best wishes are to Mr. Olawepo- Hashim and my commitment remains to the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN).
God bless you. God bless the Alliance for New Nigeria and may God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Fela Durotoye I don't trust Fela Durotoye. How can he boldly lie that he has never associated with the APC before? Was he not hobnobbing with the APC during the 2015 elections? I have always said that Fela will not get my vote, he clearly lacks good judgement. Period. |

Politics › Re: Top 5 Governors Who Invested Massively On Roads In Their States by jjmk(m): 7:14pm On Jul 27, 2018 |
AutoReportNG: Nigeria is blessed with abundant resources and mental capabilities. Nigeria has 36 states with the Federal Capital Territory, making it 37. Out of these 37 states, one can hardly boast of 10 states which have good road networks. There are some states you have to ask if there exist any governmental presence around this area despite the allocations and all sorts, some roads are death traps that you won't wish your enemies pass through. While some may argue that the IGR of some states is very low unlike some states with mega IGR, we have seen some states who have surpassed this excuses and have done excellently well.
The list is compiled without any political undertone, favors or whatsoever, the list is compiled based on research, fact-finding and based on the recommendation of people living in these states. While it is difficult to see governors without one form of weakness in one way or the other, these ones have stood out and are worthy of mention.
5. Gov Willie Obiano (Anambra)

Gov Willie can best be described as a lone ranger. He is the only governor in his party (APGA). Obiano can best be described as a silent achiever and he has held up the helms of the government so well. According to reports, Obiano constructed three flyovers with seven bridges without borrowing and doesn't wait for FG before he pays workers salary. Anambra state can best be described as a state with low IGR as 50-60% of its populace are mostly traders who specialized in buying and selling of goods but despite this, the state government has to perform beyond expectations in the area of roads and infrastructure at least within his ability. AutoReportNG still believes there needs more to be done in this regards but in all, he deserves some accolades.
4. Gov Rauf Aregbesola (Osun)

Osun state is located in South West and it is a land that's close to the Yorubas. They believe its a state where the Yoruba race emanates from. Osun state is one of the historic tourism states in Nigeria and that's why the Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. Despite having this recognition from an international body, it is expedient that the roads leading to these locations are in good shape motorable and that's where the state comes in. Gov Aregbesola been a civil engineer himself as done well in the area of road constructions across the state, from bridges to layaways to flyover, Aregbesola definitely knows his onions. Places like Oshogbo which is that state capital to Ede and to other remote parts of the states have been touched. Why some may feel he has not done enough of which we respect their opinions and see to that, but he is still better to compare to other states.
3. Gov Nyesom Wike (Rivers)
Gov Wike is popularly called Mr. Project so as to know he means business. Wike is a man who you love to hate. While many have criticized his style of government but he seems not back-down in his bid to develop the state. He made it a point of duty to commission at least 2 roads in a month, that's for a man that is not relenting. In April, he commissioned 34 projects in a day. Why many may disagree that not much is been done in this regards, we felt he deserved a spot in this compilation. It is worthy of note that Rivers is among the top states in terms of IGR for the state so the state is capable to build and construct roads without looking up to FG.
2. Gov Ganduje (Kano)

Kano state is being termed the Commerce capital of Nigeria. With a population of 15 million Nigerians, the state has a lot to do in terms of infrastructure and road constructions and the man at the helms of affairs has been holding it down. A visit to Kano will show you lots of on-going roadworks across the state, from the monorail to the flyovers and then to some major roads, the governor has tried within his best to see to it that the state is motorable and it remains investors hub.
1. Gov Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos)

Gov. Ambode needs no introduction to Nigerians, Africans and also to some countries. Lagos is the commercial capital city of Nigeria, with a population of 20 million people living in the state, the governor definitely has a lot to do in terms of roads and infrastructure. Gov Akinwunmi Ambode came into power in May 29th, 2015 and he has introduced quite a lot of modern roads to the state. The state is currently undergoing a massive revolution in terms of road networks, from Oshodi to Airport Rd to Lagos-Abeokuta Rd, Ikorodu and the list is endless, Ambode is trying to see Lagos retained its mega city status. Not only is the governor all about roads, he has made sure that the Lagos State Waterways System are working even though people have their reservation boarding ferries but we can say that the LASG is trying his best in this sector and also more stations are under construction. Gov Ambode is also seeing to it that the Lagos Light Rail is completed on time, the light way was started by the former governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and so far, the rail is in its 75% completion rate.

Disclaimer While we respect people's political opinion, we try to be as transparent by not having anyone or state as been favorites, our list is as a result of research, travels, and investigation. This has nothing to do with their offices and how they fare in other areas, we believe it's not every time we criticize, there are times we give those in power some Hi-Fives for a job well done.

ANSWER. Section 2 (1) (c) contains no provision or stipulation that a Polytechnic graduate outside Nigeria or a diploma holder outside Nigeria SHALL be eligible for call up to NYSC.
This is unlike UNIVERSITY GRADUATE as contained under S (1)(b)
The law is settled that inclusion of one is the exclusion of others. Inclusio unius (est) exclusio alterius. Sports › Re: The VAR Controversy And Why Nigeria Needs To Be Careful Against Argentina by jjmk(m): 4:13pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
zicoraads: This year's World Cup is very different for many reasons. But perhaps, the most glaring one is the use of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). For long, contentious decisions in the most watched sport in the world has affected the outcome of several matches. One of the most controversial is the "Hand of God" incident. In what was one of the most infamous incidents of World Cup history, Argentina's Diego Maradona used his hand to score when jumping for the ball with England goalkeeper Peter Shilton in the 1986 quarter-finals in Mexico City.
The officials did not spot the offence and the goal was given, with Maradona later telling reporters he was helped by the "Hand of God".
This led to calls for an independent review of decisions before the centre referee took a final decision. But has it really been worth the wait?
The truth is, several decisions in this World Cup have been correctly decided by the VAR. Against Iceland, a lot of Nigerians watching that match hoped that the centre referee would stand by his decision not to award the penalty against Nigeria. The second he decided to consult the VAR, we all knew that decision will change.
But how about the Morocco Vs. Spain and Iran Vs. Portugal games? Did the VAR pass its auditions? With Portugal and Spain's qualification not yet assured, the outcome of both matches was very important. So how did the referee fail to spot what seemed like an offside goal (the one that made it 2-2) even after reviewing it on VAR? Or how did the referee fail to award C. Ronaldo a red card even after the lengthy review? Or the contentious decisions that characterized the match?
For some reasons, it seemed the odds were deliberately stacked against Iran and Morocco yesterday, being the relatively smaller teams.
With most international pundits and even the international media already writing off Nigeria, the Super Eagles need to be very careful in how they approach today's final game. If anything, yesterday's matches showed that when the occasion is grand, the smaller teams suffer from the decisions of the VAR, compared to the big teams. Spot on!!! |
