Tithes are to be given to God and not to widows, the ministers of God prays over them Because of the anointing in their office. Abraham didn't give his tithe to widows, he gave it to a minister. And the minister by the anointing blessed him

It's a spirit of the Antichrist that makes people attack ministers. Any person that stands out to fulfil Gods purpose must face all these attacks. Jesus experienced it.

John 7:12

 Thesame demons are still working in people today. There is no single minister of God they woukd not criticise. You ask them to mention the name of one single real man of God. They have none. Why the devil hates every minister of God. He is the accuser of the brethren.

That same spirit is at work in people today. They don't  see any good in the churches, they don't see souls saved,and lives transformed by churches  but alwatpys looking for evil report in churches. 

The sad thing is that the people being used by these  spirits may mean well , but there are ignorant of the spirit using them. Remember the words of Jesus :

Romans 10:14

Faithless men put responsibility on God.  The bible says "he that wins soul is wise" not "he who's God win soul is wise" the bible say a woman can win her husband by good character. But these false humility preachers feel that one is arrogating  Gods position.

That is why every Christian has to study the messages of Paul and John, they contain revelations of God which Jesus couldn't give the early apostles because they weren't born again then.

A man's failings and experience doesn't change the Word of God. Who's report will you believe?

If you call it "false" it already show a bias and nullifies a pure question for clarification. He talked from a perspective . And it should be addressed from that perspective of discussion. E.g "new creation is a living spirit" the spirit is created in the image of God. It does not fall sick or die. Sickness and pain are transactions of the body. But you can rule over the body by the indwelling spirit etc. I don't really know where you got that from but it must be from that perspective.

Some people have a hard time accepting the supernatural life Christ made available for everyone who believes in Him. They find it strange to think and accept that it’s actually possible to live on earth without being sick. Some even buttress their claims with what Paul said in

2 Corinthians 12:7-9:
“…there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Many have interpreted Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” to be a kind of sickness, and use it as an excuse to say, “If Paul could be sick, then, it’s normal for any Christian to be sick.” However, that’s not what the Bible teaches. “Thorn in the flesh” doesn’t necessarily refer to a problem in the flesh; it’s a figure of speech used to express something that causes pain or discomfort, a troubling or perplexing situation.

If you study Paul’s writing in context, you’ll discover he wasn’t referring to any kind of sickness or infirmity of the body. The 10th verse lets us know he was referring to the batterings he experienced from the persecutions, reproaches, distresses and adversities he faced for the sake of the Gospel. He never for once rejoiced about being sick or excused sickness.

Understand that Jesus came, not just to die for us and save us from sin, or to heal our sick bodies, but also to give us Zoë, the God-kind of life. That life is what you received when you were born again, and it can’t be destroyed by sickness, disease and infirmity. Sadly, many haven’t understood what this life is all about, so they suffer ignorantly with sickness (Hosea 4:6). But as you take a hold of this truth today and live by it, you’ll begin to experience the joy of living in divine health.

Confession
I refuse to be sick because it’s not in my nature. I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus; old things are passed away, and all things have become new. The man that could get sick is dead; the “me” that’s alive today has Zoë – the supernatural life of God that makes me invincible and impregnable to sickness, disease and infirmity.

It is not recorded anywhere in the bible that Jesus collected offerings from his congregation even though some of his followers ministered to his needs so stop twisting scriptures.

Where did Jesus get money from? To buy food, rent house, hire boat,and also to feed 12 men that worked with him,

Also the tax Jesus paid recorded in the bible was the "temple tax" which was used to run the temple in those days contrary to the false claims charlatans make that it is tithes that is used to run the temple. And the welfare of the Levites came from tithes and offerings too.

Temple tax was for repairs and mainance . But objects of worship such as oil , incense, animals , grains etc came from tithes and offerings.

If a pastor does secular job or business , he ought to be taxed but if he is full time in ministry and receives allowance or support from the church, he ought not to be taxed. Jesus paid tax but he acknowledged it was illegally collected from him. Even though he received money and support from his congregation.

One of the touching things he said today was when he was teaching about healing. With deep compassion, he said " I'm not giving false hope to the sick, he narrated how his daughter got paralysed at the age of five and the doctors had said she would never walk again. He had to use the word on her on daily bases , making confessions of faith. It took about a week or so, she received the miracle .

Unless you're saying that faith, utterance, knowledge, earnestness and love were the other "types of graces" that they already had and then Paul wanted them to add the "giving grace" which you mentioned. That's certainly not the way I see that scripture.

Yes precisely, graces are divine endowment. Corithian church was endowed with so much grace, they were also very carnal.

There is a grace for utterance ,grace of knowledge, grace door Favour, grace  of finances, charisma etc.

Finnis Dakes , writer of  bible was known for grace of knowing scriptures by heart. He could recite any portion of scriptures you call for him by heart. Some Christian has the grace of counselling. Some people have the grace for leadership. Every endpwement of God is a grace.

I don't believe there's justification for trying to differentiate this grace and say it's another type of grace.

Paul was talking about a particular grace here. There is a grace for utterance, there are different kings of graces in God. Maybe I will give more light later. I'm busy. But the point here is that Paul was dealing with a particular grace , a grace of giving, this grace/ability  was much on this church of mecedonia. They were rugged givers . Look at the amplified version again.

Paul admonished the corinthians to abound in this particular giving grace which they lacked. But he affirmed they already abounded in some other graces

There is the unmerited favor and there is ability part which is an empowerment an inner working. A gift, 

We are under the dispensation of grace , unmerited Favour. Which brought us salvation . The grace of God has come to us. It is a definate article . "the grace of God"

But there is another part of grace which is an ability . This is not definate. There are several graces. They can abound upon a man. They can multiply by prayer or by knowledge.

A man can decide to deliberately increase in a grace. This is function of faith.

There is a grace /ability by which a man can be a giver. A man can choose  to increase in the ability of giving.


Paul admonish corinthian church to increase in the "Giving grace" as they've increased already in other graces. But they lacked the giving grace.

. The reason Paul refused to ask money from them was because they were not givers. They were like kunleoshob
So Paul would rather labour or recieve from others like T-tonye, joagbaje,etc. So Paul admonished them to grow in the giving grace. Kunleoshob needs this grace!

Many were brought up under a system where out of ignorance, God was portrayed as a despot and a destroyer. They were taught in school that the earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, tsunamis, and famines that have ravaged lives, cities and even nations are “the acts of God.” But those are not the acts of God. “Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).
This simply lets us know that whatever is not good and helpful couldn’t be from God, for He’s a good God, and His gifts and acts are good all the time.

Sweet water and bitter water don’t flow from the same fountain.

Therefore God, who is goodness personified, cannot be responsible for the sufferings, destructions and disasters that take place in the world. The Bible shows us that the real destroyer is satan. He’s the evil one responsible for the terrible disasters and catastrophes that steal people’s health, joy, money or peace.

But thanks be unto God, the world is not at the mercy of satan and his filthy acts of destruction! God has given us the power to subdue, tame, and forbid satan from carrying out his manoeuvring and manipulative acts of wickedness around us: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). Observe that it’s God who gave us, His children power over all the works of the enemy. Hence, He couldn’t possibly be the one responsible for the works He gave us power to forestall.

Acts 10:38 lets us in on the kind of works or acts that can be ascribed to God: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” The devil is the one responsible for the evil and oppression in the world today; they’re his works. But the Bible says in 1 John 3:8: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Every time you hear, see or read about a supernatural intervention in human affairs that defies conventional or natural sequence, resulting in the preservation of life and the general good of humanity, that is a miracle; and that is an act of God. God loves people and it’s His pleasure to see them healthy, prosperous and normal. You can trust Him even now to bring His unlimited power to bear on your situation for you to receive a miracle.

Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I pray for the greater manifestation of your power in the church so that your children, through the power of your Spirit and revelation of your Word, will experience your love continually, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
