Osama10:It's not e every person that's a man of God. This one didn't just make a mistake as a Christian . It's a wilful crime, A man that commits a crime should face the law. 1 Timothy 3:2-3 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; I have said it often . Any man who is not called into ministry can not last there. It's the work of the holy spirit and he knows how to purge his church. |
It's out of the question.Apart from the inner witness of the reality of God. The physical proof and witness of the power of God is enough to clear every doubt .The prophecies of the bible which are had historica fulfilmen , the prophecies we are being fulfiled in our time and the prophecies of the future that is unfolding daily are proofs . Not to talk about the healings and miracles. The casting out of devils, the gifts of the spirit , like Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom,l If there's a other God, he would have manifested himself. |
^^^I said especially in the ministry of healing. Certain things work hand in hand. Some sicknesses are caused by demons , you need to get rid of the demon and healing will take place. Some other are results of sin. The sin needs to be forgiven. Unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, malice , gossip, evil speakings, etc. They can open a person up to sicknesses, the individual sometimes may not even know. If he is busy saying "God heal me, heal me" he may not get healed. But a minister of healing under the anointing and Gift of word of knowledge , may discern there is a sin standing on the way. And declare your sin are forgiven, or be cleansed of your sins, and the person gets healed. Jesus healed some people that way Luke 5:20 20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. . He gave thesame authority to the church John 20:21-23 21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace[ be] unto you: as[ my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on[ them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them;[ and] whose soever[ sins] ye retain, they are retained. James 5:15 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. |
elod:You said you were engaged , then you said he is your husband. Maybe typographical error. It's a test of your own Christian character or fruits of the spirit. Challenges of life comes to every Christian. They are our opportunity to proof how much we've been affected by the word. We are ministers of God, and every opportunity is to perfect one another. All of you get blame here The woman in question : is not displaying Christian character . She ought to have come to you personally if she feels you have issues to work on. She may have good intentions but may be scripturally uninformed . Fiancée/husband: we thank God that he is a man of understanding and a large heart .but he ought to have stopped her or at least directed her to come to tell your faults to you face to face in christian way. If she comes again , he should reply, "have you told her?" that shoild stop her.corrects her on how to walk in love . YOU you ought to have admonished him on his own responsibility to correct the woman. Or you with his permision you go to her in a Christian way, appreciate her concerns and politely tell her she ought to have come to you directly , woman to woman. What you were accumulating led to the mistakes you began to make by walking in the flesh like her. But it's a great thing you feel it's degrading for you stoop down her level. It's not too late to correct the woman. It's your opportunity to perfect someone. And you will earn her respect except if she is REALLY , REALLY . CARNAL. |
@Iysaa, Jesus came as a second Adam . We died through the first Adam , but life and immortality has been brought to knowledge through the second Adam . He has made us partakers of divine verities by Union with God. He also gave us opportunity to demonstrate our Love for him by bringing many others into thesame knowledge of truth. The best way to celebrate Christmas is to reach out to the lost, the sick, the hungry. Telling them about the love of God and bringing in into their inheritance in christ. Let's prove to the world and cohort of hell that Jesus was not a failure. By showing forth the reason he came. |
@Mabel Is there anybody that will not live forever ? |
@newmi Insert QuoteYour Grammar plenty. You for say everything in one line. newmi:Derailing a thread is a lesser crime . . The Duo have done far Biggy Biggy ones on NL . Than what you're complaining about. MERRY XMAS JARE. |
newmi:It's like Esau and Jacob . Two sons fighting for thesame thing. But the humility if the commander is commendable. While the American shelton guy was raking in the church. The african ultimate commander was lying postrate for about an hour asking for grace. And God gave grace to the humble. There was a huge tall lady there among the American wrestlers , she is the tallest woman in the world about 9ft tall ,She was beaten too! |
mabell:@Mabel , it's not boxing o , it's wrestling but thanks for the info. God giveth grace to the humble . |
From my level of u derstanding , it depends on the state of his heart and Gods love he has. There are some errors we make that we don't even know are errors. And when we realise we repent of them. I've met individuals who didn't know they had a challenge with covetousness or unforgiveness. But they love God , and were nice Christian , some were abused by parents and find it hard to forgive and love them. They hold their parents responsible for certain pains they go through, but they love God sincerely. But when the word of God came to them in that areas of darkness ,they repented . But supposing they had died in that error not really knowing better. It's still a sin anyway. God will not cast them away. They love God sincerely and are serving him. The holy spirit can only convict us based on the level of our knowledge. A child makes childish mistake. A young convert makes mistakes . 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. It's not every sin a man may know to confess. Everything depends on his relationship with God . He has not denied the lordship of christ. And he is not delibrately living in sin. There have been things I did wrong many years ago thinking it was right, only for me to realise that I was wrong by the knowledge I have now. For some it's selfishness. They can't inconvenience themselves for others, they always want their own. But if they had died without knowing better. They won't be cast away. But this is different from someone who knows better and just looks down on God and live in profanity. Well all I will say is . God in his mercy knows better. |
mabell:Is it "DONT DERAIL FROM THIS THREAD" or DONT DERAIL THE THREAD. He is derailed from the thread but he should not derail the thread . |
chukwudi44:It's possible to backslide or depart from the faith. By what is called apostasy . Hebrews 6:4-7 4 For[ it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put[ him] to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: There is sin unto damnation and there is sin not unto damnation. 1 John 5:16 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin[ which is] not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. It's not every sin that leads to damnation. Do you know how many sins you have committed that you don't even know or remember. Some of the insults on this forum alone just to mention few. They are all sins. Evil speakings, insults and abuses. If God should pick on every mistake for damnation. Will you stand? There is forgiveness in christ . For every sin. A Christian is not looking for which sin to escape with But rather how to please God. BecAuse the love of God is shed abroad his heart. But those who are always sin conscious are the ones always fallen into sin the most. The more righteousness conscious a man is the more he pleases God. |
There is sin as a nature and sin as a transgression of a law. |
@idinrente Thanks for sharing the testimony, I used to think ,you were an Ifa priest ![]() |
@chukwudi. chukwudi44:We shouldn't add to scriptures. A man gets born again by faith alone. Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. but by also Living your life as a son/daughter of Jesuis christ.Even if you beleive in your heart that Jesus is Lord and verbally proclaim him as Lord and saviour without abstaining from lying ,fornication, stealing, murder e.t.c you will still be damned to hell.No child of God love to live wrong life. Execpt he is not saved. The love of God compels us to live right . But if a Christian sins, that doesn't make him lose his salvation. There is repentance from errors and forgiveness. 1 John 2:1 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1 John 1:9 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us[ our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. |
scorpion1:Firstly, a man that is not born again is not a Christian .so we don't have different Christianity. As For the topic you mentioned. A man of woman will not go to hell because the remarry after divorce. But that should not encourage divorce. That's why people need to be submitted to a pastor, there will be less divorses under pastoral care , guidance and counselling. God hates divorce. |
The church has power to forgive sins, especially in the healing ministry because many sick cases came from sin. It's part of healing ministry. |
I will show you if you will first show me the evidence of using Internet from the bible. |

Olaisrich:It's important to share your vision or seek counsel so as to avoid pitfalls. Proverbs 11:14 14 Where no counsel[ is], the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors[ there is] safety. As much as counsel is important, it matters who you share your visions or ideas with. We are in a world of wickedness. If you're a Christian , ensure you relate with people of faith . Some visions never come to pass because wrong people were brought into it and work against it physically or spiritually. The wise men made a mistake of telling Herod about Jesus birth instead of waiting for the star, he almost killed Jesus if not for God. |
There is no gift of interpretation of dreams in the new testament. |
Proverbs 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small Christianity is a bed of roses, with tests, trials and challenging times in our journey of faith. Such challenging times are what the Bible refers to as “the evil day” (Ephesians 6:13), or “the day of adversity” as read in our opening verse. Some believers dread such periods and specifically pray to God never to allow them go through trials and challenges. To avoid situations that challenge your faith is to checkmate your chances of promotion. James 1:2 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” Why would God admonish you to rejoice when tests and challenges come at you on all sides? It’s because He knows that victory is in your spirit. Having been born again, you’ve become an overcomer and more than a conqueror. Consequently, no situation that you face should overwhelm you. God knows what stuff your made of, that’s why He said: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). You have what it takes to overcome any trial, temptation or adversity. So you must not cower, give in or faint under any pressure whatsoever. Be tough. Jesus was tough. He withstood and triumphed over all the contrary winds that came His way (Hebrews 12:2). There’re things that make you tough as a Christian, and if you don’t welcome them, you’d remain at the same level of faith and maturity. Therefore, your adversaries are important in the toughening process, so never pray against them, no matter what troubles, problems and difficulties they bring your way. Welcome the as necessary challenges to strengthen your faith-muscles and you’ll discover they’re the agents for your promotion. Do you remember Joseph, and how he managed the adversities that came his way? He overcame all the troubles he faced after his brothers sold him into slavery, and rose to become the Prime minister of Egypt. He would later tell his brothers in Genesis 45:5: “…be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.” I have known only one journey in life: upward and forward. I don’t have ups and downs. That doesn’t mean challenges don’t come, but I always win. So welcome challenges; welcome troubles, because they’re the contrary winds that help to drive your roots deeper. And the more the wind blows against you the higher you’ll fly. Hallelujah! Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. |
Image123:Me ?, malice? Where will it come from? It's not in my nature pls. If there is any reason I avoid certain people , its because I don't want any person bring me to his fleshly levelnof exchange of abuses. . stop twisting scriptures as usual to ease your brainBut,You guys are the one who seem to be adding to scriptures .I open to you the word plainly. And if you think I'm wrong, prove it scripturally, if I'm right, accept the truth or just leave it . But it is carnal to enter fight and use of evil speakings. That doesn't glorify christ. |
Image123:There is no hard feel dear, anyone that will leave the arena of Gods love and enter personal attacks are not my kind of people in a discussion. I don't want to be in an atmosphere where I will find myself repenting to God of retaliation. As i have dome on few occasions . Its not the love way .So, prevention is better than cure. I would rather avoid some people and discuss with those who can really discuss. God word admonishes me on that. 2 Timothy 2:23-24 23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all[ men], apt to teach, patient, |
@op. Me I'm still not very clear of the point and purpose of this thread. |
^^^^ okay o . Some celebrate baby in a manger. Others celebrate a reigning king. All to Gods glory. |
God doesn't relate to everybody alike. You are the one that determining the level of fellowship with God. Some serve him with fear, others relate to him by love. Joshua chose closeness to Moses . Even though he had no leadership title but choice of closeness to his leader made him next in command . Despite the fact that ,owes had grown up sons and wives. God is to you what you want him to be. John chose to relate closely with Jesus because of his personal revelation. Others choose to be official and "VEEERY REVERENT" He had audacity to lay his head on Jesus chest. While others were too official to ask questions ,they rather go through John . But Jesus would not have stopped them . They have not fully embraced the relationship. So it's not jesus's fault. |
@biox Biox:The name is joagbaje pls. Talking about confessing,if confession plays a vital role in our salvation what about our daily life.I askedthis to say this.if repeatedly saying save me save me or help me help me is the not the main thing I the salvation of a person.what will you say then to a person that repeatedly say a particular word while praying generally for example words like.Jesus thank you Jesus thank you,or help me lord help me lord.does it mean that repeating a particular word during prayer is not acceptable or right.well that will derail the thread , I'm talking about salvation. But for the confessions of faith for living. You can open a thread on that . I will be glad to contribute. |
Zikkyy:You don't know pastor chris from far until you listen to him, he is a balance teacher. And his teachings are being lied against on this forum. This is one of the reason I post some of his teaching, so that people can see truly what he teaches and be blessed |
