Firstly Jesus taught on giving ,tithing,offerings , alms . Secondly Jesus collected money from people . Why did he not print out statement of account . Or at least tell the people what their money was used for. Every church has structure on how money is allocated. Based on the call of God on those ministry. TV ,ratio,Internet, prison, staff,church running cost ,helps, etc etc. the pastor of course must be signatory to church account but not the sole signatory. He is responsible to authority above him. And most churches have auditors who visit he branches to ensure things are done rightly. You said you worked in a bank . Is your bank manager he owner of the money there? Why can't the pastors be honest to give details of the financial transactions?

It's not necessary , why should a pastor who works in a bank come and declare how much bank pays him . Is that the gospel he is called to preach? Even few pastors like oyedepo who told the church he stopped taking allowance or salary from church was he believed? Critics can't be satisfied.

Tithing is not based on Levitical laws. It's a principle in Gods kindom that pre exist the law.

Paul had jurisdiction over his congregation. So he had right to correct Peters error. And protect "HIS" sheep. But he didn't have right to go and blast them in Jerusalem church.

The word of God is the standard for every believer. Anything outside of it is wrong and there is absolutely nothing wrong in saying it out. Like I said before and very clearly, if you decide to give 100% of your money to the church, I have no problem with it and the bible is not against it. But you cannot form a doctrine out of it and tell the brethren to follow it or the devourer will bite them or something.

God will not punish or curse you for not tithing , the issue is, every acting by faith on the word of God carry grace or blessing. If you do it ,you will experience the grace it carries . If you don't do it ,you miss out of the grace it carries. And the absence of a grace is a curse. But it's not from God. For example long life is a blessing and a grace. Premature death is a curse. But in the law God commanded honoring parents so as to enjoy life and the grace of longevity. Now this is a principle . If a Christian does not honor parents ,he is not protected against that curse. But when he honors them ,the grace of well being and longevity is activated. You find paul quoting it also .

Paul quoted it ,because its a principle. If a pastor teaches on the importance of honoring your parents ,it's not because the law says so. It's because it's a principle in Gods kingdom

Heb 7 has nothing to do with nullifying tithes. It nullifies Levitical structure and takes us back to to Abraham and Melchizedek .

We are not tithing because the law says so. It existed before the law.

I want to thank , all the good men who have contributed to this thread . I got caught up in our Reachout Nigeria campaign and planing . It's very obvious that the truth of the word cannot be killed . So the law contains elements that are eternal principles and principles transcends dispensations .

Many of their companies are now publicly held and the stock holders don’t have a clue that they are still reaping the harvest of the righteous acts of their founders. To sustain such success and blessing, there need to be a rediscovering of the principle of putting God first and building a business as a way of seeking the kingdom of God.

R.G leTourneau (INVENTOR OF CATERPILLER MACHINES)
My father was actually impressed by R.G leTourneau. R.G leTourneau was the creator and manufacturer of giant earth moving machinery. As my dad will receive the offerings at the church he pastured, he was fond of referring to R.G leTourneau as a man who could not out give God. Before the end of his illustrious career, this manufacturer will reverse the percentages and give God 90% and retain 10% for himself.
I remember that my parents receive regular publications from the charitable foundation R.G leTourneau started and funded with 90% of the stock of his corporation. Each month the publication will show pictures of the monster machines, some weighing as much as 200,000 pounds and each newsletter incorporated tithing because R.G leTourneau contributed his great success to it. Before his death in 1969, he had contributed millions and millions of dollars to the work of God worldwide.

OTHER NOTABLE TITHERS
We could go on and on and list names like J.L. Kraft Cheese Company, Wallace Johnson, the founder of holiday inns, or the founder of welchs grape juice. Each of these Godly businessmen was committed to tithing and I firmly believe that was the key to their outstanding success and legacy.
When the issue of tithing as applied to the small business is raised, many opinions abound. Often the small business operator is left in a dilemma. Should he or she tithe on gross revenues, net profit, salary taken or taxable gain?

Kenneth hagin once shared a testimony of the depression how a christian farmer went to his pastor because his coton farm refuse to bud even though it was ripe , they needed to harvest it before the rain that was coming.If it rains .the whole farm would be destroyed . it was like that allover the town but the pastor asked him " do you pay your tithe ? the man said yes, The pastor asked him for the tithe card, those days they use cards in churches and the pastor signs in when they pay. So the pastor went with him into the middle of the cotton farm he raised the tithe card up and said "lord you promise to rebuke the devourer, this card is the evidence that this man is a tither.the pastor was not done speaking when they began to hear cracking noise all over the farm! the whole farm turned white! . the cooton budded. other farms were destroyed by the rain.

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

We are followers of abrahamic faith. Who is the father of faith. If we are children abraham we ought to follow ABRAHAM faith.
