The Word of God is real and true, but that doesn’t mean the experiences of your life will automatically line up with it. You’re the one to make them so. This is the fight of faith the Apostle Paul talked about

1Timothy 6:12
: "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a goodprofession before many witnesses."

You’re the one to appropriate all that Christ has accomplished on your behalf in spite of everything your physical senses may otherwise perceive. You’re the one to subdue the circumstances around you, the forces or the symptoms that attack you, and effect the change! There’re those who say, "I believe the Word, but why are things not working out right for me?" It’s like someone who’s hoping that God will set him free someday; that’s not going to work, even though hebelieves it, because that’s not faith.

"Believing" the Word is not enough; your believing must translate to faith. Faith declares the Word to be real and true NOW, and acts accordingly. The contrary circumstances will not change by themselves, or change because you believe. Romans 10:10 says, "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness…." Believing sets your heart right with God; it makes your heart acceptable to Him; that’s the reason you know in your heart that God loves and accepts you, but that’ll not change the circumstances of your life. For your situation to change or to maintain a life of continuous progress and triumph, it’s got to be by your faith.

Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

" Faith is calling real that which you’ve hoped for; you count it done now! It’s like the title-deed to a property. You don’t have to be in the property to know it’s yours; faith is the title deed. Take a hold of God’s Word and affirm your healing and health, prosperity, success, and victory in Christ Jesus! The second part of Romans 10:10 says,

"…with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

ojimbo: My major concern about this issue is, have any pastor ever told you to give your tithe to your brother or to the poor ones or needy, have they preached to you to sow a seed in the hands of the poor ones?, wht always in the account, malacai 3:10 is always the key point at which all pastors do preach, is there any place recorded in the new tastement about tithe, the only thing recorded in new tastement was "bring to the house of God according to ur heart desire" and not a specific percent or amount, bible never recorded tithe as money, even when it is said that it have to be changed to silver, it was later said that the silver should be used to buy what ever we will eat with our brothers and friends when we get to the place to offer tithe, please my people, the greatest thanksgiving is making sure that your brothers, the poor ones, the widows, beggers, pastors, church members, deacon, that can not feed themselves, try ang give to them, i reserve my anger on thoes criminals that will never remember the chapter of the bible that recorded about loving your neigbhour as yourself, but they can never forget malacai 3:8-10

You pay your tithe in the place where you're fed the word of God. You don't give tithe to the poor, what you give the poor is alms giving

The bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge hosea 4v6.. Instead of us to apply simple kingdom principle for financial blessing we keep ignoring it, and this is the only WAY god can bless us financilally..

I was also among the bandwagon criticising this wealthy men of God, but later I thought about it that I was broke but I was criticising those that have made it.. I later changed my orientation to apply kingdom principle.. I started paying my tithe gradually with my small income back then, sowing seeds, gradually God started increasing my capacity to give more..
I aint bragging but right now I know how much I pay as tithe..

Life is not about competition, it's about Gods will for your life. You could have as well say the richest man on the earth is not a christian ,does it make Christianity wrong. The bible is clear about the prosperity if sinners. They don't last. Riches that endure comes from God only

The walk of a Christian isn't of comfort and riches but like that of a soldier in a warfront. The bible will then say

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Just before Paul died, he would tell Timothy how he is not suffering because he is a bad person or because he did anything wrong but because of this gospel of God according to the will of God.


8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

All the miracle seeking Christians are like babes feeding on breast milk. Miracles and signs are not the end, they were used as means to an end.

The scripture says

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

When shall we be glorified? When we see Christ.

That is not to say we shouldn't work but the idea and fad of manna falling down or heaven opening or tithe to get reward are contrary to what the scripture is saying.

10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.

1 tim 6:8

And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

If you believe in poverty,enjoy it to the full and may God give you more of it while the christian who believe in prosperity use their wealth to bring sinners into light and sponsor the gospel.

I see miracles wrought almost daily from cancer to HIV healing. Miracles are real

Covering the hair was not a christian doctrine but rather a customary thing.. It was like the wedding ring of our day. Covering the hair was for married woman as a sign of respect for their husbands. It wasnt for unmarried girls. A woman who goes public without cover her head in the bible days has dis honored her own husband. It's like a modern day woman who doesn't wear her wedding ring.

This is the scripture most people misunderstand

1 Corinthians 11:5
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head:for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

The word "woman " only refers to the married. To dishonor her head makes reference to her husband who is her head. According to verse two. Which says . . . .the head of every woman is her husband. . .

It's important to read verse 5 in other translations .let me clarify by reading living bible translation

1 Corinthians 11:5
And that is why a woman who publicly prays or prophesies without a covering on her head dishonors her husband, for her covering is a sign of her subjection to him.

Bible tells us in Philippians 2:6-9, that though He was equal with God, He didn’t count His equality with God anything to latch on to. Rather, He made Himself of no reputation, took upon Him the form of a servant, and became obedient unto death. For this reason, God exalted Him and gave Him a name that is above every name.

As believers, we’re to have the mind of Christ and emulate His humility. True humility for us is to be submissive to the Lordship of the Word of God. So you’ve got to know the Word, and let the Word guide your thoughts, words, and actions. That’s the way to be submissive to Jesus, for He is the Living Word.

Moreover, 1 Peter 5:6 enjoins us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God that we may be exalted in due time. Just as Jesus was exalted for doing the Father’s will, you too will be promoted from glory toglory as you live in total submission to the Word.

. . , And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are
sanctified (Acts 20:32).

At certain times, we feel obliged to upgrade our equipment and devices, such as cars, computers, phones, and electronics or even our wardrobe, furniture, or the entire house. While this is commendable, we ought also to give greater attention to upgrading our lives. This is possible through the application of God’s Word. The Word of God has been given to us to transform and renew our minds, and upgrade our lives from glory to glory.

Give more attention to the Word. Study, and meditate on the scriptures. Proverbs 4:20 says, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings." It doesn’t matter what state you’re in right now, if you’d give yourself wholly to the Word, it’ll upgrade you spiritually, mentally, financially and physically; your whole life will be improved! The Word of God is a life- builder; you can confidently entrust your life to the Word; it’ll build you up, deliver your inheritance to you, and catapult you from one level of victory and success to another level.

2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us, "But we all, with open face
beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same image from glory to glory, even
as by the Spirit of the Lord."

The word "changed" above doesn’t mean changing from bad to good; it’s from the Greek word "metamorphoo"; and it means "metamophorsis"; a transformation—from one level of glory to another! This happens through study and meditation on the Word

It's unscriptural. Every discipline is temporary ,to hasten or humble an erring person. It's not every sin that requires such harsh discipline. It's mostly sin if rebellion that warrant such. And once such person has shown remorse and repentance ,such should be forgiven and restored.

Corinthians 2:6-7
For such a one this censure by the majority [which he has received is] sufficient [punishment].

You need the will of God in every area of life . But the issues of churches has to do with purpose . Because of the plan God has for you he may direct you to a minister to submit yourself there . But if you didn't have such clear instruction just follow your heart. His will for the now can be manifest in your heart

frosbel: It is becoming a worrying trend when pastors and their followers use the Holy Spirit as a camouflage for their false doctrines, saying quite often , especially when pushed to the wall, that the Holy Spirit inspired them, their teachers or a specific doctrine.

The fact that you don't experience the power or manifestations doesn't mean he doesn't talk or manifest himself to others .

Glamglam: Please can someone shed more light on this topic. The church I attend, every anointing service, the pastor lays his hands on every single member of the congregation. Most people start falling. When I asked a deacon, he said they are falling under the anointing. I don't fall however Does that mean anointing no dey catch me? Lol.

It's not true that every body falls , some people may not experience it. Some can fall during prayers , some can only fall when hands are laid on them. The fall is a manifestation of the power of God when it comes upon a person . Either to heal ,cast out devils , etc. the modern day revival of it started with baptist church . But it's a biblical experience.

ukotmi: There is no need for trading insults here. RCCG have the right to build a bigger meeting hall. But we can suggest that the use of satelite and internet to broadcast activities during their annual conventions to selected parishes and centres. This strategy will reduce traffic and hardships experinced by members and participants. Modern techonology has made it possible to have real time life transmission of any event across various centres. Some churches are doing it already.
This is only a suggestion and not binding on RCCG.

How come the centurion was not questioned how he got the money to build
