AjanleKoko: Two contemporary fellas that have brought back the 90s in rap for me are Bobby Ray Simmons (B.o.B) and Lupe Fiasco.Honestly I can't understand the hype about lil wayne, rick ross and co. |
Absolute trash my guy. Boko haram's weapons come through the porous borders up north directly from libya, niger and other north african wastelands. Weting concern igbo traders, who by the way are helping check the spread of illegal weapons. Read the article next time ebamma: after this igbo importers sell dis guns to bokoharam, the then use it to kill their brothers in the north.hmm, wat a tragedy. |
The fact is the north is dealing with insurgency, that's definitely why it would draw more attention. I don't know why but I suspect the arms discovered, belonged to a non-member of the firearms importers association and that's why the arrest was carried out by the police and members of the union. I wonder if the arms were within the range of those allowed under the firearms act. I know that shot guns and air rifles can be licensed but ak-47's are off limits 1forall: 700 bombs were similarly intercepted in Abuja many months ago which we heard nothing of afterwards - no arrests, prosecution. Even this, who knows what shall become of the arms at the end of the day? Anyone rich/powerful enough to move a trailer load of arms is most probably rich/powerful enough to protect his interests, whatever they are. |
Wow! Infinite idiocy at its finest engineerd: Please give the eastern part of Nigeria to cameroon for God's sake! |
I've got a friend whose name is iyke and surname begins with D. Dude hates united cos he is a gunner. Sure say no be you? IykeD: Continue dreaming! |
Unilag, sorry MAU students hit the streets

Naija ppl no dey hear word. Very interesting stuff |
That's nice to know. Another thing is that we need to remodel our markets and position them for the next level that is coming fast. I haven't been to ariaria market since I left school or onitsha maon market in years but bros the way things ar going we have to make them attractive for our people to jump at. At least I'm happy we are all thinking. But mehn the governors need to sit up ak47mann: i know is gradually, things are changing as we speak main market will swallow any marker in Lagos we have the biggest market in west Africa with the seaport things will work out nicely.........................more revenue for anambra state plus oil&gas money 0 boyy soon houses in onitsha will go higher than it is now, lands in nnewi alone has gone up by 60% same as onitsha duplex in GRA is now from 40 to 100 million depending.................... |
We need to make this happen. We have done too much talking. Our people need to strategise purposefully on how to make this a reality. There's more than enough land to accomodate a mega market that will make ladipo look like a carpenters shed. It takes political will and initiative of the business community to drive this thing ak47mann: true talk eze igbo, shops in onitsha is now out of reach, with the seaport and international airport watch and see what will happen |
Dude don't make me laugh, get your geography straight, there are no bombings in igbo land PeterKbaba: They igbos should know that if they leave the yoruba land today... there are mass troops from the Brazil, UK and US ready to fill the gap, so their absence wont be noticed at all.. did you guys notice that the UK prime minister and the lord of london came to Nigeria on a serious meeting with fashola... were did they go to... Lagos off-course, even your 1 shoe Mr President Egbere Jonathan was forced to travel down to lagos to receive the british entorage that came to visit... the british prime minister even visited the lagos business school... what happened to ABJ... The UK, Europe and the US have lost hope in the PDP government.... Open your eyes and see how they all prefer starting a business in lagos first, before moving into other states... what do you igbos have that lagos does not have better... Pls dont mention crude oil money, cos we have crude oil all over Yoruba (lagos, ogun, ondo) land and we are happy sharing the proceeds with every other state in Nigeria... we don't need to bomb because of been selfish like the igbos do... If not for the selfish interest of the igbos, naija would have been a better place. |
All well and good but regards these traders, most of their goods come in via sea. You can't compare air freight to the sheer volume of tonnage of sea freight also let's not forget the cost is very different. I really don't know (I will look it up) the size of vessels that the dredged river niger can accomodate. Realistically the rail service from port harcourt to enugu needs to be upgraded in capacity and efficiency. There's a lot of work to be done and time is ticking Onlytruth: And as soon as we get those infrastructure, we move to the next phase. |
I should be happy because this is a blessing in disguise for igbo business people to look homewards. Unfortunately our political leadership isn't doing what they should to encourage them. I'm hoping they get organised and approach south east governors. These traders have the clout to make our governors sit up and take note. They just need to get organised and act fast. This is a good time |
That's what I'm talking about. This is how you drive development with public funds |
I love the place. I used to be up in there every saturday morning when I lived in lagos. It was due for some maintenance when last I visited the place, I can't wait to go visit there again |
Very good observation. Nigeria is really a battered country, politicians have really used ethnicity to divide and batter us out of commission. It is amazing how easy nigerians are to fool and lure by crooks who recycle and rebrand themselves. |
@ cyber G- I agree with most of what you wrote but from your No. 4 u veered off into a wankfest of gargantuan proportions. The issue is what would be scenarios in event of a break up, the issue of ppl leaving "your land" whatever that is is a foregone conclusion. However references to 28 million ppl marching to fight against the south west to claim land is childish and dumbs down the intelligent points you started |
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/05/jtf-destroys-boko-haram-hideout-in-jos/ Good work by the intelligence network. A disturbing angle is the fact that they recovered sniper ammunition. I remember reading that those beasts were training snipers as a shift in approach |
People saying that ethiopians can't fight need to go ask about the only army that was able to tame the somali clans and al-shabab. Don't play with ethiopian infantry o. They have a proud tradition and are used to fighting realy tough enemies |
Its a tough call but we are not ready for state police. Nigerians will abuse it seriously |
It literally means "well done sitting down".its like saying thanks for waiting |
But wait o ! The airforce is still using the alpha jets The most recen of those things were made in 1984 |
The ak47 is indeed the weapon of choice for third world armies because of its popular pros like its simple design and durability in extreme conditions but if you can afford to splurge I'd prefer the nigerian army equipped with the heckler & koch g36 or m4 carbine. Dede1: @matify

;DThis fellow nailed it Sabisabi: Nobody is going anywhere ok. The war that will follow will be too much. How many of una dey army here? You wan divide naija but you no wan fight. You stay USA and europe, but you dey pray make we dey here dey fight. Your head no correct. Only people who live in naija can decide this because its us who go fight. Dey go jare. |
Sharrap there. I have never bad mouthed d'banj and if I do its my prerogative abi no be public figure. Abi u tink say everybody dey trapped in tribal war ogodo like u. I repeat d'banj has an igbo PA and igbo manager. Tribalism has no place with really successful ppl na only lowlives and unexposed village champs
You must have been smoking cheap grass. D banj is made, no amount of your badmouthing will bring him down. There was a problem and the guy is trying to move on, yet bunch of tribalistic low lifers are all out to pull him down.
|
The problems are legion but the solutions are few. Solution 1: Spring Cleaning of the political class and senior govt officials. Weed out, flowers remain Soluion 2: Restructure the present so called federal structure Solution 3: rigorously and thoroughly re-orient the ppl of his country. Massive orientation programmes should move into action or else the naija mindset will never change and in twenty years we'll be back to square one Solution 4: Ban all secret societies and tthroughly eradicate them off the face of this nation |
Tribalists is a symptom of many things I won't bother to go into. Igbos hate him but Chu-chu , d'banj's personal assistant is igbo, his manager is also igbo. Small shame una no ge
As usual all D'banj's haters are Ibos. SMH!
|
Ehn? Na ppl like op wey amaechi been dey caution today over inflamatory comments on social media. E go hard for boko haram to carry out such in PH because the city has only two entrances and mos important, the hausa community no wan hear nonsense for where dem dey make their daily bread with ppl like ateke and tompolo in the background |
Las gidi's got swag men! Beautiful |
