harakiri: If you continue down this path you have so foolishly chosen, then start counting your next fifteen years from today.Period!
@NL (in general)
I know i might have come off as being harsh and too blunt but . . ,
Is there any single man here that would want a feminist as a wife?
Ehh? Let us try to be truthful to some point with ourselves at least.Is there any single man here that would want another "lord" in the house?Everybody with common sense knows two captains cannot lead a ship.It will be shipwrecked. And this is exactly what the feminist movement hopes to achieve and that is to break the very foundations of marriage.A marriage where both the man and woman call the shots is DOOMED from day one.It cannot survive the test of time and it can't survive.Can't you brainwashed feminists see the skyrocketing rate of divorce in the US and UK?So many men out there have vowed never to marry with the way things are now.Mind you, a man CAN live a fulfilled life without having kids.It's you women that need kids to complete you as human beings else why do you have a womb?
I have said it before and i will say it again, DON'T LET YOURSELF BE DECEIVED! ! ! The feminist movement is aimed at population control (this is a topic i reserve for another thread) Ignorant Nigerian. I guess you wouldn't want a female Nigerian president because of ur stupid ideology. Grow up mr. this is the 21st century. Oops am sorry, i forgot you live in Africa. |

dont he know how to run the laundry machine?? This is a typical stupid Nigerian question. You women should be more independent and don't think because you are married to a man, u have to do watever he asks of ya just to please him. i wont expect my wife to do anything for me, not even cook. She can cook if she wants to but its not something she has to do because she doesn't have to do anything if she doesnt want to. if i want my cloths washed, i know how to run the laundry machine. if i need food, i know how the stove works and if am too lazy to whip up something to eat, i'll just order a pizza. I pick up after myself and don't expect anyone to pick up after me. marriage is not slavery although it still seems that way in Nigeria. |

suxes2005: Tnx 1st lady. I tout of dat though. I'm gonna buy from wither Arik or BA to NYC den get a connecting flight to LAX
SHALOM DO NOT BUY A TICKET FROM NIGERIA THAT WONT GET U TO LOS ANGELES, CA. Alot of u guys that havent been to states always make the mistake of getting a flight to NY and then think a flight from NY to LA would be $150, not so. NY to california is more than 6hrs flight if u get a direct flight and it would cost u up to $1000 if you think about getting a connecting flight thesame day u arrive in NY. Again, some people have bought the ticket to NY and then were able to find someone in the states that has a US credit card to purchase a ticket to california for them. But some have missed their connecting flights because their flight from Nigeria arrived late or had a hard time getting hold of their luggage and they couldnt make the next flight. Pay attention to this:If for some reason you missed your flight to california, YOU might be asked to pay the price of same day ticket to get you to LA from NY. This is so because the ticket you bought for the connection is from a totally different airline and that airlines doesnt care as to why you missed your flight but if you bought a ticket from Nigeria that gets you all the way to LA, the airline will always put u on the next flight to LA from NY if you missed your connecting flight because of late arrival or baggage problems. Also know that you'll have to pay for your bags if you bought a separate ticket from NY to get u to LA. All am trying to say is BUY A TICKET THAT GETS YOU ALL THE WAY TO LA AND NOT NY. YOU DONT WANT TO BE STUCK IN NY. |

I couldn't read everything u wrote but having read a few paragraphs, i got the gist. The polish embassy has the right just like any other embassy in Nigeria to deny YOU or Any other Nigerian a student or visit visa. A visa is not a right but a privileged. We all know why Nigeria has a high refusal rate when it comes to visa issuance by embassies in Nigeria. We say we'll come back after our visit or school and a high proportion of us never do. To be honest, most of these embassies don't even look at applications because of the high volume of applications that they receive and with the high rate of fraudulent documents that they receive at their embassies, innocent folks like you call victim. All u can do is apply again and be persistent. Never stop sir. keep trying and one day, they'll give it to ya. |

there are good nigerians but u just need to be careful with a majority of em. If u wanna stay outta trouble, have one or 2 nigerian friends if indeed u really can't live without speaking ibo or yoruba to someone else. Much better to make friends at work/school that u can trust. I have a hard time trusting my fellow nigerians. Well, i dont deal with them anymore. so, am good. Love Nigerian parties thou. nethacker: nope.not any that i am aware of but i do knw they call to confirm some information supplied sha, tell d person not to be tensed,it CAN'T be cancelled Am not saying his visa is cancelled but US Embassies do cancel visas even after its been isssued. if they should determine fraudulent documents or have questions that the applicant can's answer, they can absolutely cancel the visa sometimes without you knowing and when u show up at a POE, u will be surprised to find out that ur visa has been revoked. I've seen it happen before. |

dinggle: I flew from Detroit(michigan) to Lagos 2nd december with Lufthansa airlines for $775 (oneway). Bought the ticket with www.asaptickets.com
However you must have an international credit card which must carry same names with your travel documents via which charges can be billed. Otherwise your request will be denied. I'm preparing to go back early January and I'm gonnna fly same means. There is a catch tho!, because the tickets are so cheap they arent transferable if you dont fly on the day you are booked to fly, there is no reconfirmation opportunity (only a doctor's report can open room consideration). That was the reason I opted for a oneway! Also whatever transit route you are offered check to with the embassy of the country to know if need a transit visa or not, they arent responsible for that and they dont give advisory all ticket purchased wit them are final.
Alternatively you can bid for an air ticket going your route with skyauction.com, I have friends who have flown with $550 return ticket from U.S, however you need atleast two months ahead for you to have a successful bid. I bet ASAPTICKETS will still be your best bet. No travel agent or airline can beat their offer!!! Thanks for the info. |

eddy1977: @ suxes boy the advices from johnkent seem nice but i would be very cautious to travel to the usa using anything arabic like emirates airlines or even going thru morocco , for the simple fact that since sep 11th, the us immigration service gets very nervous with u if any arabic stain is attached to you. my advice would be to try to stick western as much as u can; delta airlines or anything western europeen is very advisable for first timers to the usa,
compare also prices for nigeria to new york or philadelphia or new jersey then a flight from those cities to california. or even from naija to the uk then from there to california. i dont know if ghana airways still comes over
i wish u good succes in your trip and studies. well, he was looking for a cheap ticket. he can get get a ticket with KLM or british airways but it will cost him and arm and a leg. |

joxiri: Maybe my mum was a one off but she got her visa from the uk and she is not resident, but all her kids are british, if it can be proved to the embassy that there are ties in the uk like we did with my mum i think theres a chance she can get the visa she cant be having ties to the UK because she's in the UK on a visit visa. If she has a UK visit visa and her intent was to immigrate to the UK, the US consulate will not be comfortable issuing a visit visa to her as she looks more like an intending immigrant. Thats the way i see it. Your mom probably has a UK permanent stay or watever its called over there and u don't know it. It clearly states on all US embassy website that u have to apply for a visa at the embassy in ur country of permanent residence. Not even the US embassy in canada will issue a visa to a visitor in canada. |
