US border patrol? I have no idea wat u're referring to. |
chocomillo:haha. |
i remember coming back from Mexico a few months ago and this Hispanic guy didn't have any form of ID and he claimed to be a US citizen. They couldnt send him back to Mexico as he claimed to be a US citizen but anyways, he was detained for a while until they could figure out his citizenship and he sure was a US citizen. has lived in Southern cali since birth and could hardly speak a lick of english. They let him in let alone someone that has a passport. The expiration date on the passport doesnt matter when u re seeking entry into YOUR COUNTRY/country that issued the passport. |
1forall:i dont understand why you guys think that immigrations in Nigeria will give her a hard time. I dont think so. I know its Nigeria but trust me, they wont really do anything to her. The issue here that i can see is if the airline here in the US will let her board on an expired passport. They'll probably will since its a direct flight to Nigeria. She is a Nigerian citizen and has every right to enter nigeria with or without a passport. We only carry passports as proof of citizenship. because she has an expired Nigerian passport doesnt make her less of a citizen. call Arik and see what they tell ya. |
oyewolejos:am glad u got it. Congratulations and see u in LA sometime. |
Just stay away from anywhere that has a large population of Nigerians. Not usually a good place. |
ayomidej:thats a lil cruel u know. Have u been to any of the nigerian embassies overseas or tried to reach em on phone?? Trust me, u'll think the UK embassy in Nigeria is heaven. |
well, i just guessed |
dealing with Nigerian embassy here is usually a mess and i hope u havent bought a ticket to Nigeria yet. It would be alot cheaper i think to apply for the e-passport than trying to apply for a visa and thats if u live close to any of the embassies. why did u have to wait this long to figure out ur passport situation ?? |
U dont need any health insurance to visit the US unless u are a student and ur school will ask for proof of health insurance. Health insurance u can easily get from your school and it would much cheaper. About the Immunizations, nobody asks u about that when u enter the US. Ur school might want to see proof of some immunizations but u can easily get them here. but if u dont want it or cant afford it, u can easily sign a waiver that you dont want it. Nobody can force u to get a vaccine in this country. |
emiwanlee:got a UK visa last yr with only $100 in my account. although am a poor student, the embassy official(watever they call consular officers) knew i wasnt immigrating to the UK. I had a much better life where am at although i didnt have very much. |
awalawa:all schools have some health insurance companies they partner with for health insurance for their students so i would recommend u call ur sch and ask them |
1forall:so re u saying that if she got to nigeria on an expired Nigerian passport, she wont be let into the country u must be kidding. let me see where they'll deport him/her to. |
i dont think embassies are renewing the old machine readable passports. u'll have to get the new E passport. |
If you re boarding a direct flight from the US to Nigeria, i think the airline can let u board on an expired nigerian passport since ur destination is nigeria. Nigeria cant deny u entry since u re a nigerian citizen. |
omega25red:Well, because they lived there for 2 yrs and bought a house doesn't mean that everyone that moves to Indiana buys a house after 2 yrs. Every state has its pros and cons. U just have to find the right town to live at. The midwest is usually a good place to move to. Much cheaper cost of living than the east coast or west coast. |
If you want a good job and good quality of life, come to the Sunflower state of KANSAS. |
I really dont know cuz i dont need visa to go to cananda but when i do need a visa for a country, I never pay for anything until i have the visa on me. I only make reservations. I dont think u want to lose up to $1000 CAN paying for hotels and then not get the visa. I believe a reservation will work. |
hotel reservations are not to be paid for unless u want to pay for it. Do not pay for anything until u get ur visa. |
he needs to find the nigerian embassy in his country and apply for a visa. If there isn't any in his country, he should contact the nearest embassy in the country closest to his and ask how he could mail in his visa application |
Ank:i wouldn't be excited either |
osilade123:The US allows dual citizenship. U'll have to figure out if ur country allows dual citizenship. |
a car with over 200,000 miles ![]() Its a piece of junk. That car isn't worth more than $1000 |
How much would a 2007 Nissan murano S AWD with 40,000 miles cost in Nigeria?? Thanks |
Paulifendu:Just remember that she is Innocent until found guilty. there's no reason to use the B word in this situation. I am in no way supporting their actions. |
skillworks:They never said she was white but american. Not all Americans are Caucasian and it is very insulting to be calling a black person Oyibo. |
Going to canada for a day next wk, whose coming? need company |
omega25red:They can help in certain situation like if u're name was stuck in FBI background check or your priority date has been current for months and you still havent heard from USCIS. They can call or write the local USCIS office and see whats going on with ur application. But when it comes to issuance of visas and priority dates, they can do absolutely nothing. You just have to wait until your number becomes current and at that point, a visa number will be available to be issued to ya/ur family. |
anyone knows about Windsor university? is it any good? |
he would have to petition for an immigrant visa for them Chance of his family getting a visitors visa at US consulate overseas with the consular officer knowing that he is a permanent resident is slim to none. |
