He pays #25 per ton for limestone and the likes. A quick look at his financial statements from 2010 - 2015 shows he made almost #1trillion in profit and paid less than #12billion in tax.

For key industries we must not allow private individuals like Dangote to have a field day. Cos the end result will be disastrous.

1.GSM was deregulated from the word go....no price controls, nothing....and we went from N7000 Sim to N500 sim...because the GSM companies were allowed to make their profits freely....which freed them to pour in more money freely....

Well can't keep making these comparison. Telephone is not PMS as the day goes by people come up with cheaper technology hence, the crash in the price of telephone and accessories. Brother it's really unfortunate. Dangote has over 90years mining licence for resources like limestone and the rest while the life span of his factories is not more than 50years.

Now, the intriguing part is that he pays #25 per ton as royalty to the federal government. A quick search on Alibaba shows that per ton of limestone goes for about $30 or more. So Dangote pays less than 15cent for something that goes for about $30 in the international market.

A quick look at his financial statement shows he made almost a trillion naira between 2010-2015 and paid just #12billion as tax. As a result of the pioneer status government keeps granting him even after 5years of operation.

The average returns world producers of cement can boast of is 17%. Dangote makes over 40% because Nigerians buy cement at almost double the price in the international market and as we all know he controls more than 60% of the market.

In summary, Nigeria is a plc that has been sold to people like Dangote. And it's all as a result of the systemic corruption. That is the reason our refineries will never work. No wonder wikileaks named his ideology as "Beggar thy country men".
