PoliticsRe: Bukola Thief, Saraki Thief’ — Oshiomhole Leads Anti-saraki Song At APC Rally by Jowanson: 9:27am On Jan 17, 2019
happney65:
"Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday led a song filled with chants of ‘thief’ against Senate President Bukola Saraki, who was a member of his party until July 2018 when he defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

During his speech at the APC presidential rally in Lokoja, capital of Kogi State, Oshiomhole appeared to be set on a lengthy dig at Atiku, only for him to switch to Saraki in a flash.

“I challenge Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of PDP. We will publish the record. In his election in 20011, Atiku lost in Adamawa; he lost all the three senatorial seats,” he began, before going on to explain how three senators lost an election in 2015 only for Atiku to insist otherwise.

“President Obasanjo called me; I was in Labour; I was the real opposition. And he said, ‘listen, now listen, o ti to (it is enough)… ole, ole (theft, theft) will kill you. My own comrade, I need you to say… because when they talk of rigging and manipulation, they are the sustenance of rigging.

“One of the losers wrote a congratulatory letter to the man who won, but because Atiku felt, how can he be Vice-President and he lost his own state, he paid N100 million each to those who won for them to accept defeat. That is how those who lost, they smuggled them into victory; those who won, they paid them to accept defeat.

“Is that a man who will speak of honesty? Is that a man who can speak to integrity? Is that a man who can speak to character?

“Atiku wants to become Chairman of INEC, his Vice President wants to become Inspector General of Police. Their campaign Director-General is the man who presided over the liquidation of Societe Generale Bank after they had collected the deposits of very poor people. Bukola Saraki.”

At this point the crowd chanted ole (thief).

Oshiomhole joined in, saying: “Bukola Saraki, ole (thief)."

Oshiomhole then broke into a song during which he chants “Bukola Saraki” and the crowd respond with "ole" (thief).

At some point, he mixed it with “PDP”, to which the crowd also responded with “ole” (thief)"

And someone will be praising the Nigerian State and the govt at the center!

When you leave the economy and keep on pursuing criminals without purging the criminals within, and when your policies are inimical to the economy, these are the results!

You don't blame the past for your ineptitude!

You take full responsibility of your actions or inactions

Restructuring is the way forward!

And that is why I stand with Atiku

Nigerians are wise now... Any politician who does not perform knows he will not smell that position again even Atiku knows this..so he will not think of making any mistake when he gets this position.... He knows he must deliver...

Atiku plan is a detailed plan to get Nigeria working again.

I have not seen what is in the next level plan...because it's not detailed and there is no restructuring in it!

Anyone is entitled to vote whomever he or she wants to vote for but in so doing , do not mortgage this economy again for total four years hardship as the next level stipulates!

PoliticsRe: No Going Back On Election Boycott — IPOB by Jowanson: 9:43am On Jan 16, 2019
13Ebiscoo:
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB on Tuesday insisted that there is no going back on its stance on 2019 election boycott.

This came on the heels of an ongoing speculations and rumors in certain quarters, including discussions on some electronic media platforms and newspaper publications.

IPOB claimed the rumour is mischievously crafted to misinterpret its leader’s address on Saturday, January 12, 2019

A statement by the group's media and publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful stated that Nigerians, after listening to the broadcast, insinuated that its leader had made a U-turn by asking IPOB members and Biafrans to participate in Abia and Ebonyi states.

The group insisted that despite its call for election boycott, it will still work to ensure that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and his counterpart, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, never return to office for a second term.

The statement reads in part, 'Therefore, we the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to state categorically to all and sundry that our resolve to stop Okezie Ikpeazu and David Umahi does not affect IPOB position towards boycotting the upcoming presidential election in February this year.

"It is crystal clear that various interpretations emanating from certain quarters and individuals about our leader's interactive session via Radio Biafra are blatant false designed to pander to base instincts of those who wish to distract IPOB from achieving our aim next month.

"IPOB is a highly sophisticated movement that have demonstrably proven over many years our capacity to handle multiple and even complex directives from the leadership.

"There is no ambiguity in the instructions our leader gave on Saturday. If anything, it was crystal clear from the broadcast that those responsible for the kidnapping and abduction of our people by the army and DSS in recent days must be held accountable for it.

"David Umahi and Okezie Ikpeazu must be made to feel the rage of the people and this will best be served by ensuring their defeat at the polls.'

IPOB maintained that the broadcast and interactive session via Radio Biafra from Israel by its leader was purely educational and rightly sought to enlighten Biafrans and right thinking individuals and groups who are victims and witnesses of Operation Python Dance, to the evil being committed against Biafrans by David Umahi and Okezie Ikpeazu.

The statement added, "Our resolve to ensure Okezie Ikpeazu and David Umahi failure during this coming election must be enforced no matter the level of propaganda, abductions, arrests, humiliation, intimidation and killings of innocent citizens of Biafra.

"From next month Okezie Ikpeazu, David Umahi and co will realize and understand that IPOB movement is rooted in every clan and community in Biafraland. Those seeking to deflect our attention away from removing Umahi and Ikpeazu are wasting their time because their complicity in bringing Operation Python Dance to our land is an unpardonable atrocity against our land and God in heaven.

"Anybody in support of Umahi and Okezie Ikpeazu will be seen as a supporter of the killing of IPOB family members which in turn will make that person an enemy of the people.

"We shall boycott the forthcoming presidential elections and every other with the notable exception of Abia and Ebonyi where the incumbents, Okezie Ikpeazu and Dave Umahi are using their positions to facilitate the kidnapping, arrest, torture and execution of our people. This recent misconception by some individuals who intend to have Umahi and Ikpeazu return to office, will never deter us because they don’t exist in the real world. They only inhabit the realm of gossip.

"The decision by IPOB to shutdown Biafraland on the election day has gone far and cannot be changed or stopped unless our terms are met.

People are at liberty to twist, fabricate and misunderstand IPOB, but the people of Biafra understand clearly where we are going. We will continue to deploy all forms of civil disobedience, most notably boycott of every Nigerian election until they give us date for Biafra referendum."

IPOB further said that its aim towards achieving the set goal and desire cannot be truncated by an orchestrated attempt to misinform the public by enemies of Biafra both within and without.

"Our decision to shutdown Biafraland on 16th of February is sacrosanct", the statement stated.

There is nothing like been myopic

The APC govt at the center have failed in their promises!

We strongly need restructuring!

Atiku has this as part of his plan

We need to redefine Nigeria

Too much nepotism, favouritism and failure to listen to the rule of law in this govt

High rate of unemployment

Hunger!!

High rate of capital flight

With all these I mentioned , who are the ones myopic now...in the face of all these problems, you mean there will be a massive vote for APC?

It is those who are suffering and yet vote for those that are making them to suffer that are myopic cos they are short sighted and cannot see the greater danger ahead if this govt should get back to power..Most people have not seen the dictatorship tendencies of the man at the center until he gets back into power when he knows he has no more tenure to run again.

Then these set of Nigerians that are myopic will understand... They have not seen nothing yet!

Hotfreezer:
Let's see how it all pans out.

Strength is not knowing how to strike but knowing when to strike. There are many idiots in Nigeria and you must consider them when making decisions.

The CJ has already confessed being on the wrong side of the law and should be punished. However, the timing would raise suspicions and sentiments which would make a right step look wrong.

Nepal just sacked their CJ for false declaration of age. This one here in Nigeria has already confessed but it's like our IQ no reach that of Nepalese.
Timing is of the essence.... He should face his music no doubt but would facing his music after the election a bad thing? Why the speed of lightening? And more so, an appellate court ruling has systematically given the judiciary an immunity which has not been vacated yet and that ruling is a law today until it's set aside by a higher court which is the supreme court....

It is on this premise the defendants are basing their argument on now.

More so, a federal high court has given an injunction not to try the CJN by the CCT

This case will go round and round why? Our constitution which is the grandnorm is confusing and complicated in this case where a law which has not been vacated remains the status quo.

The judiciary is like a cult ...my opinion why? The CJN has to be derobbed firstly so that he can be like an ordinary person before the case can be held

He is the head of the judiciary

This is like an auto immune disease in the judiciary

We wait to see how it all pans out.

PoliticsRe: You’ve No Powers To Try Me At CCT - Onnoghen Tells Federal Government by Jowanson: 6:06pm On Jan 14, 2019
Tundemuttee:
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen, on Monday, challenged the jurisdiction of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, sitting in Abuja, to try him over his alleged failure to declare his assets.

The CJN, who stalled his planned arraignment following his refusal to appear before the Justice Danladi Umar’s led three-member panel tribunal, was however represented by a consortium of 89 lawyers that comprised of 46 Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

The legal team, which was led by a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, and a former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN, told the tribunal that their appearance at the proceeding was “in protest.”

Olanipekun told the tribunal that the CJN has already filed a motion dated January 14, to challenge the jurisdiction of the tribunal to hear the charges FG levelled against him.

“My lord, we are not just challenging jurisdiction, we are even challenging the jurisdiction of this tribunal to even sniff that charge. We have served the Complainant/Respondent”, Olanipekun submitted.

Though the said motion was not moved, nevertheless, a member of the team who spoke to Vanguard on condition of anonymity, said the CJN would capitalise on FG’s failure to channel the petition against him, as well as the outcome of the investigation that was purportedly conducted on his assets declaration forms by the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, to the National Judicial Council, NJC, before it rushed the case to the CCT.

The CJN is contending that FG’s failure to abide by existing judicial precedent as encapsulated in a recent Appeal Court’s decision in Nganjiwa v Federal Republic of Nigeria (2017) LPELR-43391(CA), to the effect that any misconduct attached to the office and functions of a judicial officer, must first be reported to and handled by the NJC, pursuant to the provisions of the laws.

He argued that only after the NJC has pronounced against such judicial officer could prosecuting agencies of the Federal Government proceed to initiate a criminal proceeding.

Consequently, placing reliance on a recent decision of the CCT on a similar charge FG lodged against another Justice of the Supreme Court, Sylvester Ngwuta, the CJN’s legal team, maintained that FG’s decision to sideline the NJC, stripped the tribunal of its jurisdiction to entertain the instant case.

Love fades as time goes on in the marriage....reno says if you are in sync with your partner, the love will not fade but change to a strong partnership where both parties understands each other very well, where tolerance reigns supreme, where friendship in love is rekindled always, where house chores are done together with understanding and happiness....
