Am interested in this pls, can you shed more light cuz most Ibomen in here think he should be the king of iboland. Are u ibo?funny you, subjugation hardly work these days i said he deserves a bullet for starting that Madness Biafra in the first place |
@ IBIME BTW, an Igbo man such as yourself with anti-ND and anti-Ojukwu sentiments. . . . are you sure you are not a rogue element? Grinthat Explains how much i have embraced the realities of life, if it is the FG's Responsibility to prosecute your, leaders, How come Gbomo jomo has the gun? is he now prosecuting the FG for their ineptitude on your leaders, bullshit!! as an Adult my dear, i do not let sentiments becloud my sense of judgment, go through my post and see that the day i will join massob, ojukwu will take my first bullet. same i expect every Nigerdeltan that has joined MEND on Ibori and Odili and every leader that has failed you oh! now i understand why it is justified to Kidnap Mr whitaker after all pleas from his family that he has a heart condition because you want more allocation to make Ibori richer, all i ask is simple, if you blow a pipeline belonging to NNPC/SPDC joint venture, u kidnap odili's daughter is this too much to ask? ![]() |
@ beaf i really understand this hyperbolic brouhaha and bickering bent on your patriotism ,loyalty and parochial rationalization truly, its not about who steals money that we are concerned with here, it equally encompasses the moral justification for what the ''BOYS'' are doing let me tell you a little story about NDDC, it was just a commission set up by the FG to bypass the Niger Delta governors in issues concerning development because no matter how much you give their Governors, you will never see anything on ground though in the end, the Nigerian factor came in and also their inability to select scrupulous leaders made it look like the commission is inept. the Abachas are stealing, the yaraduas are stealing likewise the obasanjos and olabodes, but one fact remains clear even when The Northerners steal this money, there is always something to take home unlike your people Perhaps if not for Babangida, Minna could have remained a squalor till date, perhaps if not for the abachas and other rogues from there, Kano may not have had a traffic light, please do not misconstrue these assertions that it is now justified to loot and develop your individual places of origin but your leaders are just too inhumane for my liking. let me take you to another interesting place lets place Enugu State and any state in the Delta in tandem today in Enugu they can boast of good roads, fair Education, electricity and all that, i still can remember the last time i visited, i meandered through an underground tunnel of world standard courtesy of their state Government. Was chimaraoke Nnamani not stealing havent you heard of his case file with EFCC, The FG though unscruplous cant trust your leaders with development that's why they are creating commissions and ministries here and there, and their biggest mistake is letting the governors recommend people to head those commissions, it just turns out to be an extension of the state, the story of odili, obasanjo and timi Alaibe (the former NDDC boss) will tell you more. still on my inference abinitio, does it mean that the federal and internally Generated Revenue of Enugu state is now bigger than that of Bayelsa? the answer is No but how come Enugu with a criminal as Governor has more structures on ground than Bayelsa State. so how can you justify the Delta having more allocations just to make uduaghan richer than Ibori? i appreciate the Struggle no doubt afterall this is one rare case where we have had hungry and Angry Masses standing up to the Government, but looking at their strategies , modus operandi, and its ripple effects, it beats my marrow to chill fine, the Governments lackadaisical attitude towards Niger Delta keeps them at Fault, hence justifies hurricane Moses right, Now tell me what justifies peter odili, ibori,Alams and co who failed to implement the little they were given from not being kidnapped? and perhaps tortured to death. come to think of it, if my Government Gives me Good Education, electricity Good Roads, security and sets up Machinery to secure ones' future, why would i care if they are stealing or Not? |
MEND oh MEND, ive heard a lot about your activities in the Niger delta and beyond, ive also heard so much about the propaganda generated by the waves of attacks which normally leaves the JTF on the defense. ive also been opportune to visit some locations where the magnitude of your hurricane has blown across, places like Alakiri, Bonga field,Abiteye, cawthorn channel 1 and lagos. if i am to make an unofficial appraisal of who you are, i will say you are men of your words which unequivocally makes you a valiant on the other hand, when i scrutinize your modus operandi and its ripple effects,i get this unbridled doubt that your struggle is villain unless you have contrary facts to prove me wrong. Now MEND, lets go back to the late 2005 when your acclaimed strife with the federal Government degenerated to a hurricane (if you permit me to borrow your terminology) there were a few words that i underlined at the onset, words like marginalization struggle liberation oil derivation then lately secession i don't want to waste much time defining these terms rather, i will like to bring it closer to the everyday of an average Niger deltan so that we can create a level playground for the saints and cynics. You claim that the vast wealth of the delta are being siphoned by the government of the day which evidently are the obvious Magnificence of this day Abuja metropolis. unfortunately, i agree with you on this one but before i give it a complete Nod, i will like to assume that Nigeria though a ''failed'' one is still a sovereign nation if i am right, then accept my regrets that neither Asaba nor Porthacourt or any other place in the Delta including where i come from was not officially recognized as the National capital.i will like you to ponder over this; though Texas has a broad transport network,a broad social infrastructure, houses most of the big companies in the states, Enjoys the second best in GDP state wise in the united states, will You say that Texas is better off than Washington in whichever yardstick u deem necessary, just a food for thought. the rest of the other underlined words will be better treated under the same canopy of resource control because i feel they are interconnected. You clamor for a larger share of the oil Revenue, if you ask me, to be honest with you, i think you are right. come to think of it, the Delta bear most of the environmental and biological risk in oil exploration.but if i were you i will ask a question further, How best do i achieve this? lets analyze the facts on ground before we go into the prejudiced, phantom theory that supports your cause. i still remember vividly that after the military era, and prior to the April 5th 2002 supreme court ruling on resource control, the formula has been as follows; 74.3: 18.1: 7.6 percentage split between the federal, states and the local Governments exclusive of the Almighty 13% Revenue allocation. please correct me if i am wrong 74.3% of the federal bearing the ''first charges'' and ''special funds'' in other words i expect that each oil producing state enjoyed this privilege for approx. four and half years. Now MEND, lets come back to today's events as a result of the supreme court ruling of April 2002, the formula has changed from the above to 49.1: 30.0 : 20.8 Federal, state and local governments percentage split respectively. exclusive of the Almighty 13% Revenue allocation on the grounds that ''first charges'' and ''special funds'' are illegal.(not putting into cognizance Obasanjo's dementia of 2005) please still correct me if i am wrong though i have my personal reservations, the onshore/offshore dichotomy which severed Akwaibom and Ondo states also the issue of recognizing the FCT as a state, but i still think that the other oil producing states got a fair deal compared to their contiguous states like Anambra and Enugu respectively in terms of oil Revenue. MEND, i still wish to remind you here that using the word ''fair deal'' above cannot be misconstrued owing to the fact that some states though not oil producing generate high on internal revenue but they are not complaining whether or not they receive whatever extra percentage.FIRS Lagos State can tell you more. I cant really, imagine that people still wake up without plans, is this sham you call revolution? you think this was how America got their independence from the British, or you think the french revolution, the franco prussian wars, the Spanish civil war and other wars that redefined the human race which brought about human liberation from imperialism and hegemony. you guys make me laugh, MEND, U started by kidnapping expertrates which of course was the preamble to be able to raise funds to buy arms for the real struggle ahead. interesting plan, they paid their Ransom gained their freedom some unhurt and arm proliferation became your other hobby, please still correct me if i am wrong today, you have succeeded in laying siege to the delta that you intended to liberate abinitio let me tell you the ripple effects of your struggle, Go to warri for instance, the companies have left, job cuts by more than 60%, plethora of unemployed youths, even if they were not paid well abinitio is not comparable to the Anguish they are facing now, your ijaw brothers that are landlords have slashed rents to ridiculous rates to lure imaginary tenants, these buildings i remember were their Gratuity and payoffs by the same companies you despisetoday they have lost their only source of livelihood thanks to your struggle; lets talk about your people in the creeks for every pipeline you blow, that is more than 12'' carries hundreds of thousands barrell of crude depending on the flow station, this you release into the same Eco system you wish to salvage, aquatic lives are compromised and our health suffer. MEND, do you still see those leafy fresh fruits u enjoyed in the delta in the 80's? your struggle has forced them to extinction unfortunately, you don't even miss them, or you think shell's pollution caused it? of course that is a good line of defense if you ask me. lets talk about the Garden city PH is now a mini barracks where every junction is a military parade, where military siren has taken over the squeaks from the humming birds in the city we used to know. insecurity has forced even the beggars to hiding talk more of potential investors, how do you expect the malls to be built, the exotic restaurants and admirable edifice that you dream befitting for the garden city who will build them? the expatriate you have all kidnapped? MEND, when last did you price a fresh fish in the portharcourt market? are you surprised the prices are exorbitant and they look shabby? the reason is because your boys are holding siege at the water ways that the farmers prefer to consume their products at home and stay alive than crossing over to risk their life bringing it to portharcourt, and the shabbiness is a fall out of the fact that the desperate ones raise fishes in contaminated local ponds and bring it to the market for your people to consume unlike the ones raised in their Natural Aquatic Microcosm or should i just say that they have been poisoned. I am sure your feasibility studies never highlighted these at the planning stage of the struggle. Lets talk about the indigenous companies owned by your people MEND, do you know how many pipeline servicing companies you have sent packing as a result of your struggle? some Multinationals that can migrate to another country and continue from where they stopped while some are indigenous owned by your people that can barely maintain a permanent residence in PH talk more of paying off staffs. Can you imagine how many families most of them laid off staffs from producing companies and others from bankrupt servicing companies that curse you day and night in their prayers for hanging them on the brink of economic quagmire. Doesn't it bother you that porthacourt has copious taxi drivers these days or you think is still about the bike? my dear, they are desperate fathers you took away their means of livelihood several companies in PH can hardly pay existing staff talk more of creating jobs thanks to your struggle. at the demise of ph and warri, lagos is taking the credence.the west is booming, their economy is stronger than all the ijaw states put together. Have you bothered to find out where the problem of the delta lies? you ask for more wealth, yet the ones you were given fell into wrong hands and you are not bothered to seek justice, hurricane moses, (if you will permit me to borrow your terminology) let me remind you that in the history of this country, no ex or seating politician has stolen more money than your brothers Ibori, peter odili,Alams, lucky igbinedion and co in this democratic dispensation. are they not your brothers, now tell me who is marginalizing you? Ibori and co or the Government of the day? another food for thought I am really sorry for these ignoramus that think that you are fighting a just cause, to be honest, its obvious these people don't have the least inkling of what is happening in the oil and Gas industry. people are loosing their jobs everyday, shell lays off contract staffs like nobody's business likewise other producing companies, do you blame them? they are low on production, financial meltdown and crude prices are not helping matters, companies are packing up, families are suffering. Are you fighting for us or are you fighting us? people are suffering and you call this revolution. How more foolish can you be, the corrupt politicians that have your money are walking about the streets of Abuja and you Kidnap expertrates that repair you roads. i don't just get it. maybe some fools will tell me its a price that must be paid or perhaps a justified collateral damage, to me this one is unnecessary may your names (gbomo jomo and co) not sing the villain song for generations to come, borrow a leaf from ken sarowiwa and pray that you don't end up like napoleon Bonaparte and his cohort Adolf Hitler at least he got a pint of dignity by taking his own life i am not sure if you will be man enough to take your own life on the day of reckoning and not sing a new song of Amnesty like your Oga Henry okah. we have seen a lot of people like you both home and abroad, and to be honest, your likes always fail.Do not be like my brother Emeka ojukwu who after serving as a colonel in the Nigerian Army and as a governor in the eastern region, knowing fully well the military capabilities of eastern Nigeria thinks that challenging his God to a dual was a better option than calling for super powers to back his Aburi conference or some other diplomatic means, in the end, cowardice was still the case, he left with the last plane from uli airport (a remote improvised airport in one of Anambra's suburbs)to reunite with his father's friends and classmates in ivory coast when my father and my brothers were butchered in droves. tell me is ojukwu better than Zik,Awolowo et al who took the path of diplomacy? they are the real heroes and everyone knows that. in the end his Nnewi sychophants gave him Ikemba for taking their lives and wasting their future i put it to Ikemba that what his father achieved peacefully he can never achieve even in death, the shell, the ACB and so many other investments and recognition the world over. And here is his sanguinary son wasting lives. till today, have the igbos been liberated? has the igbos had a steady senate president talk more of smelling Aso Rock, or he is waiting for another black president to rule America before he realizes how much he has failed his people. did we not all start life with 20pounds amidst dilapidated infrastructure and brazen war psychology. look at where the yorubas are coupled with our doggedness can you imagine where we could have been without this war? make no mistakes MEND when the time comes, people will stand up against your animosity ,your people that you have poisoned their waters and taken their jobs might not be that generous to give you an IKEMBA so in your interest, sheathe your sword I ask, did you people do a simple research at all before embarking on your madness by destroying pipelines you are mere cutting production, the real trade is off shore where you don't have the logistics access or haven't you heard of FSO? you guys are just full of shit MEND my arse Amnesty? Yaradua make me laugh, what happened to the word ''Annihilation''? just thinking aloud though |
i will choose any from the following; 1 withdraw all my privileges as a parent including paying her school fees since she wasn't prostituting @ home 2 i will take her to a clinic to check if she is still medically fit to live in my house, the result will determine her next pick up address 3 i will pay more attention to my wife to see if we can get a replacement ASAP,if she has passed menopause, i will order for testube babies catalog or hire a surrogate recommended by my wife for Artificial replacement,if i cant afford it, i will just assume i lost a daughter then i will summon every bit of fortitude that i would expend if she had died in a car crash 4 if my wife becomes unsupportive, i will blame it on her and sanction them both but if i was poor, in other words, she was just surviving, 1 i will encourage her to work harder since she has more mouth to feed and enlighten her on the use of condoms since she has a prettier younger sister that can take over her customers if she becomes careless. i will definitely resign to fate and accept my position as a failed parent and Ask God for a second chance ![]() |

@ poster Naija Used halla 4 700k thats quite ambitious dont u think so? |
this thread is hilarious. I don't believe being boisterous or ranting over issues that those not worth it. The finance minister i guess will not understand the petroleum terminology if i should go on to ask him questions pertinent to petroleum. therefore, with due respect my dear minister, I will possibly ask you to get a college knowledge on the position bestowed on you. I meant no disdain, SIR. even the commander in chief cannot state the seven points agenda off hand ![]() funny country |

@ dnex there are a lot of Naija used cars that are in far better condition than those yankee cars. With all their VINs and Carfax reports, a lot of Naija cars still fare better. Afterall, some of the yankee cars that are sent down here are used by Naijas over there and besides it's a lot of stress for the cars imported to acclimatize because they are not tropicalized. i am surprised a human being can come up with this |
i will ask him the following questions; 1 Are you aware that foreign ex convicts in the oil and gas sector earn more than their Nigerian counterparts when they do virtually the same job? 2 this local content policy, what institution or machinery monitors its compliance? cos im sure that there are oil rigs in Nigeria where an ordinary camp boss is still a foreigner also why doesn't it affect pay package? 3 Define conflict of interest? if he (rilwanu lukman) is sitting on the board of African heritage conglomerate, controlling the majority shares of Afren and still serving in the petroleum ministry? 4 Do you know that America rated offshore field ops as the 8th most risky job in the world which is a function of their insurance and other health benefits, what have u done to enforce such in Nigeria?have you bothered to peruse through their condition of service both in the upstream and downstream sectors? 5 Do you know that offshore oil bunkery is higher than offshore oil exports? 6 Do you know that most DPR staff in most export fields in Nigeria are bribed to falsify export figures esp FSO's? 7 Do you know that most indigenous company deprive their staff from forming new or joinig existing unions like NUPENG,PENGASSN and what have you? in other words, the employee eats whatever shit the employer cooks? 8 Do you know that there is no healthy competition in the oil and gas industry? we see cases where An American producer gives jobs to an American servicing when the indigenous coughs they buy you over? 9 do you know that the MOU signed by most indigenous companies with their foreign technical partners are not carried out to the last letter esp, where it concerns training of staff and operation liabilities? finally, Do you know that a 20,000bpd refinery will cost about 20million dollars which is just 25% of Nigerian earnings in a day internally generated funds notwithstanding? do you know that Nigeria has the finance to erect 36 of such refineries in all 36 states in less than six months? judging from their crude earnings alone. |

@ Emmydeei quite agree with you but she musn't act prematurely, cant she wait for the freaking question to be asked before singing her hymn if she hasn't an ulterior motive @Iranoladun this one you share your first name with iran hope your surname is not Ahmadinejad i can quickly guess the middle eastern weather is not the best for your brain ![]() anyways, you said and i quote; I'm amazed at your choice of abusive and indecorous words that you are hurling at the Poster. Huh Huh Huh How do you define decorum? a shameless, fabricative Swine that nurses the temerity to breach a contract with a friend and has the unbridled impetus to say it in a public forum perhaps , you didn't catch my nuance the poster is an ANIMAL and should be treated as one. the 65k issue and time factor just came up as people began to slam her, so, she covertly painted the story to attract sympathizers like you if it were you, amongst all your customers, that are gullible to loot, you will look for the one with account balance 65,001.22 i will not be mistaken to say that you didn't read this before putting up a line of defense for your Hussy friend immediately i saw this thread, i quickly rushed to the thread Abinitio that says because if you did with a pinch of ''comprender', you wouldn't need anybody to tell you the genesis to Revelation of this scam DON'T BE FOOLED |
@ poster you either join the police, sss, army or better still join alaye ![]() |
@ Poster don't you think that you could have drawn more sympathy if you had let the topic to be ; My Friend Took 80,000 Naira From My Accountother than My Friend At GTBank Took 80,000 Naira From My Account why was it so pertinent to embroil GTB? is this thread about the theft or about GTB? do you think that if your friend was working for another bank that it could have deterred her from perpetrating her demeanable acts? or you want everybody to panic and go and withdraw their funds from GTB thinking it is not secure? let me teach you something you dumb head, next time you want to win empathy, do not be parochial in laying out your facts in other words, i will like you to broaden your horizon to issues, in your deepest reasoning, you want to create a scandal and you start thus; ladies and gentlemen i was fu**g an AGBERO on suit who claimed to be working in so so so bank, in the process, i started speaking in tongues because the f**k was so good right then, i confessed my ATM pin, internet password and my account signature now that my money is stolen, i want to sue the bank, my dear, after listening to your sermon i will just ask; ARE YOU COL. BINGO FROM THE ANIMAL KINGDOM? |
@ ADEOMOLE Conditioning!!! who is conditioning you? u see it appalling because you stay in the states, but using United states as a yard stick for what is right and wrong is obnoxious suggest for yaradua to join the war in Iraq because America is there like i said earlier, i hate the fact that such services are expensive but you can not do shit if i have an account there and i am not satisfied with that, i wont ask for one, if its so pertinent, i will move my account to a place where it is cheaper and let them be its their business after all nobody decides for me my quotations, if you like you give me the job, if you don't like we shake and we echo ITS NICE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU |
@ tpia OP you may not need a surgery to screw your brain to your skull when i was growing up, when i read and i dont understand, i ask questions now Ask your questions |
@ greenman The question is; why would the bank staff be selective about the information to give? This is more than mischief, it is daylight robbery! as far as i am concerned, do not use the word SELECTIVE What are they selecting? don't you know what a reference letter is? Haven't you seen pple that have operated their accounts for Ages yet they don't even know what a reference letter is? or you think say na check book? when u re travelling or you are pursuing a big contract or whichever reason you need one go to your bank and you are given, what i expect the bush man to do is to ask of terms and conditions let me give you a clear example, when a marketer comes with his account opening form, he preaches abt his packages you now ask of interest, ask of charges ,ask of flexibility, ask of minimum balance before you open an account right? then 2yrs later this same LETTUCE of a man walks into the same bank asks of a reference letter without asking of terms and conditions does it make sense? he is indirectly telling us he is illiterate in other words i should sympathize with him and begin to pay his school fees, that's RUBBISH if you don't have need for it, they don't force you to get one the bush man went there and thought it was tissue and used it to wipe his arse now he is buying sympathy if you have collected formerly, and they didn't charge you then better go back and give them a refund becos no bank, i repeat no bank in Naija gives it for free. sometimes a lot of things baffles me you buy a car no matter how expensive you still fuel it you stay in your house, u pay utility bills you shop, you pay when it comes to bank that keep your money and create convenient ambiance for you to get it any day any time irrespective of amount for God knows how long then you want it free!!! what happened under your bed? you could ave kept your money there for free since u have paid rent make no mistakes, i am not in support of hideous charges after all one bank wanted to try it with me @ this critical time and i took my money before they could say Amen!!!! but what i strongly displease are these adult delinquency and corperate Radicalism that i am beginning to perceive on Nairaland you could ave asked your inlaws to give you your wife free ![]() osho free, polemic illiterate |
@ purest boy This is very wrong if true, any transaction done on your account is official and confidential and you owing him is personalbanks are the most careful institutions when it comes to cash handling, if they finance your project my dear, you cant cheat them, they have every tools to outsmart you if you think its criminal, why take money from them? abi you no go pay ur loan no try banks you can never cheat them, only that the poster is making it sound like its personal but i put it to you that the poster is lying she has never even been to A COMMUNITY BANK TALK MORE OF MICROFINANCE, GTB, or any other commercial bank remains her FANTASY give us proof through either statements or transaction notification, i am off to the Auto section |
@ nethacker, @Poster.What u said ur friend did was very very wrong and I don't think it can happen in GTB oooooo. Embarrassed Angry If it actually happened, then heads will and must roll. Can I have the name of ur friend who is a staff of GTB or ur account officer's name(I think I prefer this)?I also need ur own name too and where u opened d account(Account number not needed).Let's make someone a scape goat because "On no account should u withdraw from someone else's account without their consent and/or by virtue of u being a staff of the bank Shocked ", To me ,I don't think it's possible because he/she has to go to the Operations department(TSG) to make the withdrawal and if there's signature irregularity, she WILL NEVER be PAID no matter how high up he/she can be.immediately i saw this thread, i quickly rushed to the thread Abinitio that says ''INTERCONTINENTAL BANK IS USELESS'' on going through that thread, i realized that about 40% of those that spoke ill of IBPLC suggested GTB Then i ran into this thread; '' GTB AND ARBITRARY CHARGES'' (In both cases this one inclusive), i could only deduce that the Anti-GTB posters hardly stay or produce any cogent evidence to prove their case also they are all new to the forum, then i began to feel that there is this stealth furore between IBPLC and GTB which they needed to embroil the sentiments of the members of the public so nethacker watch out!!!!! about the furore, i think GTB attacked from IBPLC's ineptitude while IBPLC is fighting so hard to throw a punch, well, both of you have my sympathies but unfortunately, i am a realist so i always have a realistic point of view; @ poster, u said and i quote; what should i do because she didn't have the right to enter my account. its illegal. That means our money is not save in the bank. A whole GTB.I think you should rephrase this; That means our money is not save in the bankits not OUR money but YOUR money, after all, i don't know the AGBERO that is sleeping with you telling you he is a GTB staff, now you want to embroil all of us to share ur sentiments, well, you are just ASININE let me put it to you that you don't have a bank account or perhaps, this is a new version of marketing in Naija because as a customer, you should know the protocols that are involved before money leaves your account. i have this vibrant account officer that always likes to impress me, any time i need money, he will prefer to bring it to me other than let me come to the bank, but ive noticed that he cannot relinquish that cash to me unless i fill the necessary paper work which includes signing a cheque with a corresponding account signature and confirming it or signing a withdrawal slip depending on the account type on one occasion i tried to coerce him because i was in a hurry to do it later and he said ''OGA YOU NO WANT MAKE MY SHEET BALANCE ABI YOU WANT MAKE THEY SACK ME''Then i ask; does it mean that this your AGBERO boy friend doesn't balance his sheet? abi he fu*k you sotee you teach am your signature, dash am your withdrawal slip or check book as the case tantamounts, Fellow Nairalanders, cant you see that we are dealing with an animal here not a human being about bank having access to funds in your account, i think its possible but the case ive witnessed is entirely different from this sermon you are preaching; A friend of mine got a PO (purchase order) from a company, when he came to me for money, I introduced him to my vibrant account officer who said its not a problem only that my friend needs to open an account with them, then the bank has to do the purchase themselves, after the purchase was done and supplied, the client company paid into the guys account he received the alert but on getting to the bank, he was advised not to tamper with the account till the officer comes back from leave on coming back, he deducted the bank's capital, took his interest, took his personal PR which the guy promised him and left him the Rest, Not touching the account opening balance, My friend now came to me to complain that his account has been tampered with, then i asked him if he was thinking that the bank wont collect their money, from my point of view, its justified He was owing the bank and they took their money. so please Review your case before you start RANTING |
@ outstrip u said and i quote Another person says they think it is outrageous and the other people who are obviously okay with mistreatment jump in and try to tear him down. $17.00 for something that they should give you for free. Nobody is justifying the fact that a sheet of paper is worth 2.5k but if you listen to the undertone of the poster, he simply felt cheated because he claimed oblivious of the situation; and that was what i tried to clear in my post abinitio you think it should be free because u re in the states what if you were not? GTB themselves cannot justify it either, but unfortunately that was the hand they started with and it's not compulsory to ask for a reference letter. you and your cohort ADEMOLE think it shouldn't be so, personally, i share your sentiments but the market remains GTB's but patronage remains your choice. stop telling us its SUPPOSED TO BE FREE what is SUPPOSED about it simply because America does it that way the same way American banks charge low interest rates while our locals charge high, the same way America does voluntary conscription and Nigeria does compulsory, the same way New york has trains and Lagos has Okada, the same way America has a hanging bridge and lagos has third mainland, the count is endless just say you prefer the other society not that you can juxtapose the both. i think this doesn't call for vituperation because in the same vain, a lot of people re languishing in jail simply because they claimed ignorance of the law @ poster when you base all your arguments on ''I WAS'NT TOLD'', ''I WAS'NT TOLD'', someone can easily come from ''YOU DIDN'T ASK, ''YOU DIDNT ASK'' worse still, keep ur funds @ home, when you need a reference letter, you go to the shrine and get one free |
There has been a great furore concerning this post about who reads but comprehends and vice versa, funny post @ poster u said and i quote Gt bank mouthpieces were too desperate that they could not see that I clearly stated that the debit notice came via text message 2 days later? From this i can only deduce that you were notified after ur account has been debited in other words, you didn't ask of the terms and conditions in the first place or perhaps you wore a Santa Claus gown presumably, u thought the service is free, you are the funniest person ive heard from your case can be likened to a man that went shopping, picked clothes without looking at the price tag, when asked he simply replied '' i thought its free'' i still have to remind you that not every customer has need for a bank reference letter hence no need for a general notice you only demand for one when you need it but thinking its free? ![]() about the 2,500, its been the rate from time immemorial, hence you may be a new customer you said and i quote ''They had charged N1,100 for the bank statement. I had cause to collect same letter in the past. There was no charge. Nobody bothered to alert me to this new charge. where have you been young man? you sound like you just woke up from a deep slumber, go back home and read the terms and conditions of current accounts and other account types with GTB contained in your account opening folder and Retract this clause of yours I had cause to collect same letter in the past. There was no charge. you go to the extent of making drafts, collecting statements and referrals and you don't expect charges? sorry to ask; re u an alien? Gentleman, absolute necessity teaches you that you don't shop things you cannot afford, also if you are about to go into any business endeavor, you ask of terms and conditions because you ask of price before you shop but when it comes to banking transactions u think everything is free lastly, you re trying to insinuate that you have been ripped off or something, who sends you text messages that he just robbed you? My dear, the banks with your ''Arbitrary'' charges like you call it don't send messages after the debit has been made bear that in mind. GTB deserves an apology from you for casting aspersion on their integrity |
