Yes, rats and tadpole are 'meat', but must they be eaten raw??
I would not. But if they have a way of sterilizing them to make them healthy without cooking them, I'd say to each person his choice. If not, that would be objectively unhealthy and very bad.

Leviticus 22 vs 8- Whatever dies naturally or is torn by beasts he shall not eat, to defile himself with it: I am the Lord.
I take it (1) you're a Christian (you don't sound Jewish), (2) unlike most Christians and well outside of official Christian doctrine (except, notably, the JW), you make a distinction between meat from slaughtered animal and meat from an animal that died on its own.

But I think most people will agree that meat from the corpse of a slaughtered animal is meat from the corpse of a dead animal - since they're both dead and once you're dead rigor mortis and other nasty chemical reactions set in just the same. Just like between someone who was beheaded by a Saudi executioner and someone who died of heart disease.

Rats and tadpoles are just meat. To some people. In my view, only a veg can claim a high ground over those who eat them. Just saying.

It is, actually. Even my religion forbids it.

Biko there is nothing sane about eating live tadpoles and squirming baby rats.
Interesting. Can I ask what religion is this?

Vegetarianism has no connection with abominable dietary inclinations.
I take it you don't consider eating the corpse of a dead animal abominable. Well, some people do. Same way you view some dietary inclinations of the Chinese. Let's call it dietary relativism.

This is no Flu

This virus has an incubation period of 14 days where the infected do not show sign of illness but are still highly infectious.

This virus has been shown to be for life just like HIV. That means the infected even after treatment can still relapse and infect others.

Most worrying is that it affects male fertility which means males who get infected, but survive, become sterile and so can not have children.

Ebola will keep you down for about a month after just a day of exposure thereby limiting spread.

Every successful virus needs to be docile and not kill the host before it goes pandemic.

You do not know how dangerous this contagion is.

It is obvious it was a designer bio-weapon tailored for massive culling .

Be very afraid. This is not some random flu but a well engineered cutting-edge bio-weapon designed for mass culling.
You're here spreading speculations and conspiracy theories, most of which have been debunked by scientists. Anyway, what's any crisis without the conspiracy theorists having party? Enjoy.

They said African were not predisposed to the virus partly because they were pumped with chloroquine, I'm not sure of the validity because I did not further the research.
Well, if that's true, it would still leave anyone below 20 unprotected since they didn't take much chloroquine. Last time I took it must have been around 1997 since I was tired of the itching.

sexiestharam:
What is the correct spelling of our president's name? Is it Muhammad or Muhammadu? In this publication, it is spelt as Muhammad.
Like most Arab names, there are many ways of spelling this name - in fact so many that no one can say how many: Mohammed, Muhammad, Mohamed, Mahomet, etc. And that's in English. If you're Hausa, you could write Mohammadu, Muhammadu, Momodu, Mamadu, etc. And if you're Yoruba, we may be looking at Lamidi and other variants derived from Ahmed. But, typically, an individual would stick to one in writing his name. For the president, that one is Muhammadu. But Nigerian journos don't care much about standards, so you can expect them to pick any variant of the name that suits them on Monday, another one on Tuesday, and another on Wednesday.

Years back, when a Muslim man had his hand chopped off for petty stealing in Zamfara State, the Nigerian press reported his name as Buba Bello Jangedi. Then Buba Bello Jangebe. And kept on like that. We never found out which one is correct. Not too many years before then, the Abacha-era assassin we knew as Barnabas Msheila came out to announce that he did not know where the press got the name Msheila from - that his name was Barnabas Jabila. He felt the press had assassinated his name and had to intervene. There are countless other examples.

I'm rambling. Well, I'm on break. I needed something to take my mind off work. Thank you. smiley

sad

Wow. Now the husband knows that the woman was raped.

The stigma will now follow the woman and her family. Our justice system really needs to do something about this so true rape victims will be cared for.
Drops pen.
You think she won't have told him already? Only if she doesn't have sense, and that (not telling him) would be offensive to her husband, not the fact that she was raped since that wasn't her fault.

Atigba:
Esan people are not from Benin, any body who claim that is ignorant or an idiot.

When I refered to Igodomigodo, I wasn't talking about Benin. Benin kingdom started around 12 century with Ife migrant, before then people have been living in Igodomigodo for thousands of years.
Bini Kingdom is not necessarily the same thing as Bini people. The Bini people are believed to be the descendants of the Igodomigodo people. Maybe the original inhabitants of Esanland came out of Igodomigodo too - we don't know. Bear in mind that the original inhabitants of Esanland - those met by the so-called "second wave of migrants" from Bini - were republican, whereas the Igodomidogo people were not - they had Ogisos. As for the Bini kingdom coming out of Ife or not, I'll leave that one for those who love to argue about it.

Stop misquoting the data. There is no difference between "Bini" and "Esan". It is the same people from the same precolonial country called Benin empire. Just two different cities of the same precolonial African country.
I have not said they're not the same people. But you don't have the whole story - that's what I sought to clear up. Unfortunately, you're too stuck in what you think you know to even consider any facts.

Atigba:
The Esans are ancient people of Igodomigodo kingdom
No. This proves to those who think the Esan came from Bini that they have it wrong. We know that the "second wave" of migration happened during the time of Oba Ewuare when many people left Bini and went to Esan. We know that when they got to Esan, they met people, a fiercely republican people, there. How did those people get there? Lazy "historians" have always filled in the gap by telling us that there was an earlier wave of migration from Bini, the "first wave". Nobody has proof of this - it's just an assumption that they must have come from Bini because where else could they have come from? Now, this finding proves that wasn't the case; it proves that the Esan are likely older than the BIni.

The ruling relates to agents who are embeded in criminal groups otherwise called agent privocateurs. It gives them the right to participate in the activities of the criminal groups they are embedded in so as to not blow their cover. It is not the same with Sowores case. You are not smart.

It simply means "they're above the law"... I thought only the Queen had that privilege.

#The Queen can do no wrong#
Nowhere does it say they're above the law. Did you people read the article? This only applies to the matter of sending agents to infiltrate criminal groups. And it states explicitly that the law does not confer immunity on those agents meaning they will still be held accountable for anything they do with intent.

Not necessarily. As long as she's sent to school and not given work beyond someone her age. Sometimes the alternative to working is going without education or basics like food and housing. You need to think critically.
