I am a 34 year old male banker residing in Abuja. I also run a side hustle and I am doing very well for myself.
So I got into a new relationship lately after breaking up with my ex because she wasn’t invested enough in the relationship. This new relationship is going well, we are both intentional about what we want and I can feel the energy and the conscious efforts she is making already.
A couple of weeks ago she said she wanted to go hangout at a male’s friend place in Gwagwalada and she would be spending the night. I immediately lashed out on her and told her never to think of that again.
We were having a conversation few days back and I told her my dealbreakers is cheating . I told her even if I discovered she cheated on me after 10 years, I am going to act on it and I will call off whatever we have going on.
She started going back and forth with me telling me how my love is conditional and that I am unforgiving and she can’t be in a relationship with the thought that she will be sent packing anytime.
Is my standard for loyalty and transparency too high? or Am I unnecessarily being strict?
BTW, since I entered this relationship, I have cut off every female I would potentially cheat with because I think It would be hypocritical to expect what I can’t give from someone else and also because I respect her enough to not cheat on her.

As much as your concern seems valid, it would not be fair to draw conclusions over perceived infidelity from your partner. You have stated your pet peeve. Trust that she would not tow that path. You just have to trust her so the devil doesn't ruin what you share. All the best!

Since thursday night, i’ve been hoping that i’ll find the time to make this post but my busy ass won’t let me.

I dated this girl within a period of 3-4 years. During this time, i take 100% responsibility of all her bills even as far as his family as i’ve assisted with part payment of the family house rent, took care of parents hospital bill when the dad was terribly sick, sometimes when they run into some domestic bills, i’m the one they call out for.

Despite all of these, this girl was cheating on me back to back with any single tom, dick and harry that comes her way. Your guess will be that our sex life is boring, truth is our sex life is perfect, i’ve read chats of she and her friend when she confesses of how i handle her in bed and please her very well just as i also read chat of her and other man.

To cut long story short, at every timeni caught her cheating, i secretly advise her and talk to her about how bad her actions her. God knows i can’t count how many times this girl has cheated. But i know i never disgraced her publicly unless she begins to create drama.

I made several post about her here on nairaland and also talked to my friends about her and i was advised to leave her.
June last year, i finally broke up with her and moved on with my life, immediately my life took a dramatic turn around. While i was dating her, although i had a good job and a good pay but i was always looking slim and unhealthy.

In less than a month after our brrak up, i swear even my mom waa shocked at my new looks. For the first time in my life i realised that a man could actually look cute and be so attracted to girls that girls will just want to have u for sex.

A lot of people gave comments about my new looks but the most shocking comment came from my ex who said she never believed i will look so good. Like she never imagined i could look handsome.

Now here is the gist- After our break up, she always come to my place for sex, she spent the christmas with me just because she does not want me to be with another girl. I just laugh in my mind.

She sometimes ask me for money but i don’t give her a dime, we just have sex and go our seperate ways until she’s sex starved again.

This week wednesday she came to my house, spent night, we had sex as usual, she asked for some money, i told her i don’t have. When it’s morning, i left to work she also left my house and went to her school.

Just at my arrival at work, i got a text from her saying some of her school documents are missing and she is certain that i took it. I said i did not, and truly i did not. The next message i got from her was that she is going to drink poison and kill herself cos i’m frustrating her. I told her what sort of stupid message is this, and she said yes that she will kill herself as she meant her words.

Immediately i called her elder sister and told her to caution the girl. Later that night she came around with excuses of forgeting something at my place. Then when she came i confronted her at her message and she kept saying she will commit suicide because i am frustrating her. The big question now is how am i frustrating her I have asked her several times and all she says is “you know what you’re doing“ “ i don’t mean anything to u anymore“

Just yesterday night she came around and was apologising about her messages as she said her sisters confronted her.

So, you decided to end the relationship with her, but you two were still being intimate. Talk about wanting to eat your cake and have it. You enabled this new development. If she had no access to you, how would she have pulled this stunt?


Reiterate your stance and hand her over to her family. This way, you won't be blamed if things go south tomorrow.

My neighbor and his wife are always fighting...
What bothers me is their son, the marriage isnt healthy for him.
For the first time, i helped them settle their fight yesterday.
I listened to them both.
The mans complain is that his wife doesnt respect him at all, for example, she says ; "im going to pure the dustbin away" then she doesnt return in another 2 hrs, she wont pick calls or she left her phone at home,(he claims hes sure shes not cheating, because thats where my mind went) when she gets back and he complains, she'll now start her own anger, saying he has no right to tell her that....shes not a child and so on....(the man doesnt police her, just expects her to tell him her whereabout).
She finds it hard to say sorry(he says that scares him)
She's never wrong.... And always has an excuse for being wrong...a narcissist i guess.

The wife says everything the man complained about is unnecessary, says he complains about unnecessary things... He complains too much.... Thats her problem with him.(she was in tears through out)

This is what caused the fight yesterday...
They were playing and happy till they decided to go out together... Then the husband noticed her waist beads, thats where quarrel started, to the point that she bite him, and he slapped her back.... All in the eyes of their son.
He said the first day they started dating, she was wearing waist bead, he told her he hates it and she removed it immediately.... Only for her to start wearing it after marriage... He said he had been complaining about it for 6 months now, until yesterday when he insisted she must remove it...

To cut the long story short, he said hes done with the marriage, and to my surprise she said she is too, she left to sleep in a guest house yesterday, says shes coming to park her load this morning...
She said she'll leave with her son , he said she cant leave with his son... I guess thats where therell be issue this morning, based on the custody of the child.

The story long but this is a summary...

Im confused and dont know if i should try and help them settle it... Because a part of me is thinking its better for them to go separate ways, since none of them is ready to bow to the other... At the same time... Im thinking i can help them settle it...
Its just clear there will be a big issue on who takes the child this morning if they decide to end it.

Sometimes, distance has a way of soothing all hurts and resetting emotions. Please advise them further to take a break for a month or so and not outright divorce. A child is in the picture already, most likely scarred. They need to do right by this child.

Just like the title said, I'm interesting in hearing from people who successfully treated or eliminated stomach ulcers and are now without pains. I want to know what you did differently.

I was first diagnosed with stomach ulcers in 2016. At that time, I would have pains whenever my stomach was empty. And eating food would solve the issue till I start feeling hungry again.

Nowadays, it has taken a new dimension. I can have pains whether there is food in my stomach or not. And I feel the pains more in my upper back than even my stomach.

What I have done.

I have taken all the known drugs for stomach ulcers. All the combination therapies. I have taken all. And I do complete the dosage.

I have even done that unripe plantain in water drug many times.

I have done endoscopy, which showed I had multiple erosions.

One time, I had to take nexium daily for close to six months.

I was once placed on Carafate or sucralfate for 8 weeks.

One time last year, I was admitted in the hospital and spent a week without food. The doctors said it would help my stomach heal.

I was placed on IV. And IV antibiotics and omeprazole was administered all through that one week. Yet, no changes. I felt better for a while and back to normal programming.

There's no type of PPI I have not taken.

I have taken honey and aloe Vera mix.

I have seen more than ten doctors in different hospitals.

At the end of the day, they give the same prescriptions. The same drugs from different companies.

Just saw a doctor some days back. He has yet placed me on another round of antibiotics and PPI. He added buscopan and Robinax.

No improvements yet.

Last time I did a test in December last year, I no longer have h pylori.

Really tired at this point. Can someone help me?

I have had this for 7 years. And it's been seven painful years.

If you had ulcers that ran for years and you were able to treat it and are now fine, can you please share your remedy.

Tired of living on drugs. This is costing me my life.

Personally, I think that if there is a monthly appraisal (like you suggested) or quarterly appraisal of mods, it may not be necessary for the pre-selected mods to be vetted by the general house. The selection committee would only need to vet the selected candidates and select the best hands.

1. Whoever you choose to be mods must be put before the people for scrutiny. You probably don't know the people here as much as the people know them, so it's best you listen to the people's opinions on this ...

So once you've decided, create a poll where people "like" to choose and "share" to remove, and then make your decision from there ...

2. Make sure there is a monthly evaluation of your mods. That way you keep them up on their feet so that they don't become partial in discharging their duties ...

3. If any mod in the Romanceland is found guilty of being biased in their judgement 3 times, they should be removed immediately! ...

I know you may not have the time to enforce all these, that's why I'd like to apply for the position of Romanceland mod coordinator ..

I'll ensure that every mod on romanceland is up on their feet in discharging their duties ..
