TEEMIKEMEDIA: MENSTRUATION AND THE CHURCH. WHAT DID THE BIBLE SAY's ABOUT UNCLEANNESS? The Bible categorically stated it that unclean person both male & female should not enter into the house of the Lord. Lev. 15:2, Num. 5:2. Uncleanness include among others:- Fornicators, Adulterer, Menstruation, Drunkenness, Discharge e.t.c. Such practises have been in practice since the day's of Moses & Aaron. It was respectfully practice by the Isrealite for Purification & Consecration without giving preferencial treatment to anybody, (Male or Female). The practice is been follow to they latter in the book of Lev.15:1 - end, it stated it clear in verse 19, "And if a Woman have an issue , and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days, and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the evening."

Swtcherries: Hello all, right from my tender age, I have always been a dreamer, always actively involved in my dreams or dreaming about others, I have had many revelations through dream, I am a sinner and I wonder sometimes if one day my gift will leave me cause I am a sinner? I really appreciate your sincerity. Having acknowledged the fact that you are a sinner has made the issue simple. We are all sinners that received the grace of God not to continue in our ways of sinning anymore. Dearly beloved, you may not loose that gift, but your soul, remember some will come to the LORD and say in His name they do this and that, but He will reply them that He knew them not. Therefore give your life totally to Christ Jesus and ask for the grace to stop sinning. God will help you. |

queeniepresh: Hello beautiful nairalanders',
This is your girl Precious
My journey to self-discovery and financial independence as a budding entrepreneur started approximately two years when I braved the odds and stereotype to partake in the Miss FUTA contest 2017.
I created a thread (See Below) to solicit for votes and you all supported and showed me love as an early bird on the site. Though I did not win the contest, I took valuable lessons from the exposure and the drive of not giving up despite setbacks in life.
https://www.nairaland.com/3944997/peeps-please-me-win-miss
I took up the challenge to start a fashion accessory business under the trade name Dunsin Craft Collections (DCC), with a niche on Ankara inspired crafts to promote our Nigerian culture and identity. My goal was to make DCC , the No.1 Ankara Craft Accessory/Bag Designer in Akure/Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
https://www.nairaland.com/5102401/dcc-no.1-ankara-craft-accessory
Along the line, I won several awards in Ondo State in the fashion category and also gave back to the community via free trainings on making Ankara craft such as Ankara drawstring bags, bangles, earrings, hats, face caps, throw pillows, Hair bonnet, Ankara waist bags e.t.c As a young Nigerian undergraduate also grappling with study, being an entrepreneur wasn’t an easy feat but I persisted and was undeterred.
To God be the glory and with the help and impeccable guidance of my very resourceful manager @paulspeaks of the Drive academy, I enrolled for the Tony Elumelu grant of $5,000 for budding entrepreneurs across Africa and won.
It’s a dream come true and I hope my little story will inspire others who are passing through any difficulties to never give up irrespective of the setbacks and challenges life throws at us.
Remain Blessed…. Congratulations. ..... |

Christianity Etc › Re: Love And Inter-tribal Marriage: The Sad Reality by Julivas(m): 2:13pm On Feb 15, 2019 |
[quote author=Mobilia post=75729622]Hmmmm.... Interesting and I agree with a few of your points (being a product (from a union) of two different cultures and my challenge with fully identifying with both..still don't have that conquered just yet). But... It would seem to me (if we're talking from a spiritual standpoint) that spirituality/religion would transcend culture in a Godly marriage (at least from a Christianity viewpoint). Yes, there will be some differences and challenges (which are normal); however two people from separate tribes who fundamentally agree within the dictates/doctrines of their religion should be able to peacefully and happily live a fulfilling life on this earth. To me, inter-tribal "mixed religions" marriages would be the most problematic because of fundamental differences. Ex. Christianity and Islam have non-negotiable fundamental differences. Atheism and Christianity (Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism etc) have non-negotiable fundamental differences...and so forth. But how would a marriage between a Christian Igbo man/woman and Christian Yoruba man/woman be a problem though, if what fundamentally unites them (in one accord) is Christ and His message? Can't the Christian Yoruba wife learn some of the Christian Igbo husband's customs and vice versa? God was instructing His children to marry within their religious beliefs and not outside of Him (no marriages between unbelievers and believers)..which is where Samson and King Solomon made grave mistakes. God was not against inter-tribal marriages..ex. Moses and Zipporah. It's a lot more of a society/human thing to stay within one's own "race/group/tribe" cause familiarity is simply more comfortable...(and I understand that).
I don't get though, how your " tribal separation" doctrine will unite Nigeria as one...if inter-tribal marriages should never exist? Am I missing something?[/quote
Your last paragraph ..... There is inter-tribal marriage in Nigeria, especially amongst the youth Corp Members during the compulsory one year national youth service. |

Mobilia: Well, it has never been my desire to "debate" the topic of Christianity. It really makes me uncomfortable to see the way some people in this section (on both sides) resort to name-calling and insults...because of disagreements. I, as a human being, can never "change" someone's mind about embracing Christ as the only true God who desires a relationship with him/her. I only "plant" a seed...and commit to praying. The Holy Spirit waters....and changes a willing heart.
In a perfect world, I would love to see conversions.
However, that doesn't stop me from expressing my joy..my desires..my sometimes fears...my hopes..my journey in the Lord. As I have the right to do since this is the "religion" section. The Muslims surely have it very good on this forum. Nobody bothers them at all.... They get to daily witness, discuss, and "debate" peacefully and "insult and question" free in their own section.
I know this is a far-fetched dream...BUT...if only we could have the same treatment.. They (the atheists) will see the light one day, just keep praying for them. Check your mail biko. |
