MRbrownJAY: @OP
no wonder there are so many Nigerians doing crime in SA when there are such NONSENSE laws over there..... as they say:" if you can't do the time, then don't do the crime!"

the money is the proceed of an illegal enterprise, and therefore should be confiscated and awarded to victims of the drug trade etc. as for your friend, let him rot in jail for a few yrs (spending as much as the full sentence as possible)
Vicjustice: Both, I mean He should serve the 28 years in jail and also forfeit the N140m, and be deported after that as criminals like him deserve to be given maximum punishment: He is not worthy to be a married man with kids
ah i see. but i dont consider marijuana a crime punishable by death. no i dont. it is not that dangerous as cocaine or morphine.
If a country considered marijunana a harmful substance and punishment for carrying it is death then any human being with half a brain should respect that.

What is wrong with some Nigerians? Why do we have no respect for laws? I don't feel sorry for him.

Do not encourage people to lie in their visa application, since you are a prospective applicant lead by example, package yours with lies and come back here to tell us how it goes.

steph7: My heart was literally in my moth until I saw your reply,I have already applied and I didn't hold back info, I even submitted the old passport I used for the application. Apart from that I'm sure I met all my student vis a requirements. Thanks a lot just wise
It pays to be honest with your visa application, gives you rest of mind.

Ok, as long as it got nothing to do with submitting forged/fake document then you are not banned, but don't hold back the refusal info when asked, you have to state what happened.

steph7: @ just wise, pls I need your expertise, a couple of years ago I applied for a UK visa, I was rejected, part of the reasons why I was rejected was because I used a scanned account statement of my sponsor, though I stated it on my application. Now I'm applying for a student visa, I hope the scanned statement won't count against me again this time/ I hope I haven't been banned
You used scanned copy of the bank statement? Were you given the right to appeal and which year was that?

Yababoy: Hi guys, I was a regular on this forum at about this time in 2011 as I was processing my UK study visa. By God's grace I have bagged my M.Sc degree now from the Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. Kudos to Justwise for being a great help while I was processing my travels last year. Good luck to all those awaiting their visas and to those yet to apply. Anyone coming to Edinburgh can contact me if they need any information on settling down. Cheers
Nice to read from you again, i thought u have disappeared like others... grin grin

Atlantis85: Thanks @ DonXavier
1. Yes, I paid on 22nd/23rd aug in 2 tranches via gtb online transfer. I haven't gotten confirmation from the school tho, just got an email saying my transfer has been processed but I'm guessing I'll have to wait till monday to know if the beneficiary bank (hsbc) has gotten my payment.

2. You mean after getting my CAS, I should ask for an extension to be sent along with my visa application?.

3. Yes the required maintenance fee is gbp7200. GBP800 for a max of 9months for outer london and the school tho a part of west london is classiifed as 'outer london'. I didn't know the 7200 covered accomodation as well x_x
Monday is bank holiday, your fees can only be confirmed by Tuesday, ask for extension before the CAS is issued so that they might include the info in your CAS.

The £7200 covers everything including accommodation

Good Newss: Just wise, calm ur temper down. We r real people, doing real business with a real address. You can check us at our office one of these days n chat n talk with people who have benefitted from our services, most of which r in States today. Ok. Have a great day.
Many fraudsters have real address with advertise in radios and newspapers until the deal is done then the real intention comes out, its a shame that people like you have no heart. Your office and addresses are geared up towards this criminal activity just to convince the unfortunate victim that you have something tangible to offer.

This is all about fraud and nothing else.

Thanks for highlighting d way the ECO will think, message will be passed. Thanks bro!
If she wants to go with her husband then good but that means more money to convince the ECO, let her read the dependant section of this link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/pbs/Tier4migrantguidance.pdf

penfold: Hi peeps, submitted on 22 August, guess ave now joined d league of 'awaiting results' grin Sheffield peeps,i dey come o!!

By the way....@justwise and others,I'd like to make ano enquiry for a friend.Does being pregnant disqualify a tier 4 applicant even if all other conditions ave been met? She is 15 weeks pregnant, she stated this in part 7 of d application form, attached a medical report that confirms that she can still attend classes till her 38th week of pregnancy.and there is also this section on the UKCISA that says that a tier 4 visa holder giving birth is not considered to be making use of public funds. Should she go ahead and apply or just defer till next year. She has paid d full tution o....Pls justwise its kinda urgent. Thanks
How is she going to handle this? Having a baby during her studies? If she is in the UK already then fine but having a baby at the middle or towards the end on her course means leaving school to nurse her baby and paying for baby sitting and renting a more family-oriented accommodation.

She will not be charged for the delivery but the cost after that will be heavy on her, the ECO will consider all these and wonder why she want to go through all that.
