Donxavier: . Please I'd like to find out if there is any condition under which the 28 consecutive days holding of funds doesn't apply. I heard that due to the olympics it's possible to apply early for the visa as long as you have paid half of your tuition. The remaining balance has to be in the bank but one can apply for the visa, that it isn't necessary for it to clock 28 days. This doesn't even make sense to me but I want to ask how true is it.I never heard anything like that, stick to 28days rule if i were you. |
maninmood: Justwise, please help me out on these following postulates:If you read part1 of this thread you will get all the info, you will also read from people who got their visas last yr from guidelines they read here, in terms of 28days rule and paying small money that will act as closing date of account, nothing have changed, i really don't want to keep repeating it over and over again but. . . . . You can print out the bank statement a day or two or even a week after the 28days. You should make that small payment after the 28days and print the statement, the small payment will service as closing balance date, however, if your bank statement shows opening and closing balance date normally then you don't need to make the payment. Your CAS got nothing to do with the 28days rule and your transcript does not need to be referenced to anybody. Student visa rules are straight forward, if you follow the rules then your chances are pretty high. |
Makomen Omonkhomion: Can I get your email add please?.You can email me through Nairaland's email system which is in my profile. |
They are walking in the right direction, though rocky but they will get there considering the fact that they just got independent from Gaddfi last year. |
Makomen Omonkhomion: @just wise, please can I get your email so I can ask you some personal question on My visa application processing? I wan to apply for a student visa. And my CAS states only My University document that will be required, so what are the exact lists of thing I will submit to the embassy. Will be applying in the month of August and My school is resuming in Sept., so advise me on what and hoow to go about it. Thanks. I am waiting eagerly. My email address is makoidyllic@yahoo.comYou need to submit the documents listed in the CAS, bank statement containing your school fees and maintenance money, if you are using your daddy or your mum's bank account the add your birth certificate to your visa application package. |
Ndyoo: please NL i want to know if i would still go for A-levels...i have a Bsc in parasitology with a 3.3 gp,want to go for a nursing sci degree in the uk,am i qualified to apply and some1 said i must have the fees for my 1st yr till my grad yr plus my maintenance fees...and am i allowed to work...thank u Make that decision yourself, don't depend on what somebody said to invest more than 7Million naira of your money only to regret it later. Why do you need to do A-level in the UK with after doing degree in Nigeria? Yes you need to have the school fees for the first yr and the maintenance money. |
I have being looking for a link here about somebody who had similar experience before, i don' know how that member resolved it, did you check the email address you used in registering for the payment because that is where the confirmation email will be sent, mine was gmail address then and at first i did not see the confirmation until i checked the email and saw it. |

Vicjustice: HOW AM I RUDE? SHOW ME A POST WHERE I AM RUDE TO YOU.Don't regret anything, a lot more people appreciate your endless help here, its sad that some people see it differently. You really got nothing to regret, you did what you did out of kindness. |
@philipin7: I think your question has been answered long ago, I don't know how the issue of birth certificate comes into it, you are visiting your husband and all you need to prove to the ECO is that he is really ur husband and that he can afford to invite you. Marriage certificate, pictures, emails, letters, phone call records, evidnce of any gift[money or any other item]. Then your own tie-to-Nigeria...your job, bank statement, leave letter, employment letter...etc. If you are not convinced then visit UKBA website. |
lighternote: @ Justwise,so u mean we can't just visit UK like @ xmas wt those visas? r they now useless? so I need to apply for another category?Student visa is just student visa, you can't turn it to visitor's visa, the moment your school cancel's the admission then that visa becomes useless. You need apply for visiting visa. Tell the school exactly why you have changed your mind about the admission, they will persuade you though to differ it to later year as they will be unwilling to refund the part-payment but you have to insist on refund. |
chy22: thanks justwise they have been 28 days do i need to add any cover note to explain it or should i leave it like thatNothing wrong with adding cover letter to explain it |
Donxavier: . Hello guys, Let me just state my case and all my questions. I have read through all the posts from Part one till now and I must say Thank you to elle, Justwise et al. I just got my CAS on the 3rd of July after making the international deposit of £3840. I was offered admission to study MSC purchasing and supply chain management at Robert Gordon University,Aberdeen and My course starts on 17 Sept 2012. My tuition is £9600. I am using my Mum's account and the required maintenance fund(£12960) was deposited on the 4th of July. If we start counting from 5th, the money will mature on 1st of Aug. When exactly do I print the bank statement? Is it on the 1st or can I do it on the 2nd? I intend to apply for Visa on the 3rd. Also is it necessary I make a small transaction like paying some amount in before printing the bank statement? I know I need a letter of sponsorship from my mum, a birth certificate and that the money mustnt fall below the required balance at least until the Visa is out. My question is after the visa is out, I intend to move just £9700 pounds into my personal account. I heard at the port of entry one might be required to show all your documents including your bank statement. So what happens? Do I show only the bank statement used to get the visa or my own or both? I need your guidance. Also, My Cas only states my university certificate as the only document required. What about my passport? Won't I need to submit it with the application? And Lastly, can you connect me with prospective int. Grads going to Robert Gordon this september or January? Thank you.You can make little payment after the 28days and print it out then apply. Arm yourself with bank statement that shows all the money (school fees + maintenance money ) just in case you are stopped and asked at POE. You submit only the document mentioned in your CAS + your passport. I don't know any prospective student going to that school. |
Donxavier: the remaining school fees is £5760. £5760+£7200=£12960. Maybe it's my wording that was wrong. £12960 is the whole money I must show and I have it already. I have started counting. That makes sense now. |
lighternote: @ Justwise,Take the job and ask for refund from the school, any good school will refund you the part payment minus the administrative fees they may charge you. If try to enter the UK with with student visa for any other reason other than studying, then you stand a good chance of being deported if stopped at the POE. |

fagin1982: Please Justwise I need you to clarify me on this regarding UK student visa application requirements.I have an admission with a university in UK .On the issue of financial statement ,How much do i actually need to leave in my account .Is it just my maintainance fee alone or school fees alone or am required to make the both of them availableBoth has to be in ur account for 28days |
chy22: Pls mates i want to apply for my tier 4 visa next week but my father who will be paying my fees gave three banks statements (first, union, zenith) hope that wil not affect my application justwise pls answer meAs long as the money in those 3 individual accounts meets the 28days requirement then no problem. |
He had only one good season and now he wants to go? When he was injured the club supported him, and now this is how he pays back? City, Man-U or Chelsea can have him |
horny4u: Very vain indeed! There is nothing anybody will do about it, they will still pass the plate around their school-mates and friends, make sure that their formal school ranking remains top 10, get the juicy jobs and remain completely out of touch. |
horny4u: So true!!! that got me in pieces. |
philipin7: Guys please i will like to know if ECOs keep records of forms filled in the past or just refusal letters. I applied for a family visit visa in 2007 and was refused. i was told that it is good to keep copies of these forms so when i am applying again i dont put in conflicting informationsA photocopy of your form will be with them. |
NuNu08: yea he will send ♏ε̲̣̣̣̥ evrything i need...moi savings acc Ȋ̝̊̅§ also used for my ß̍̍̊usiness cus its a̶̲̥̅ provision store!! §ø ςα̲̅ñ i use Ȋ̝̊̅†??&You have no other choice than to submit the account and give a detail explanation in your application form about the money in that account. |
qk: Thanks for this much needed info... Since it's part of their law, it just tells there's no point in resubmitting my docs for a review. I'll try to possibly have my fees paid upfront or have the cash in my account for the next 28 days then reapply. Thanks Justwise! That is another way of going about it, then have the maintenance money in your account for 28days. |
shuli: bYou don't need to do another one, just make a comment to remind the ECO that they still have your original copy. You can still use the same bank account if nothing has changed. |
dming: I want to say a big thank you to ell77, justwise and all NL's for d advice on this forum. I have got my entry clearance and im in the UK now.wow! dming how far? long time, good to see you here again. |
Square65: First, again, I must commend GboyegaD, Imperiouxx et al for their relentless support offered in this forum unlike some of us who just went AWOL.Lets try and help people here as much as we can as everybody else has being doing. |
When will some of you get tired of this wicked act? Why are you people happy to see fellow Nigerians suffer as a result of mindless job scam like this? |
seyimypal: Stop criticising this Golden Job opportunity employment company, just let them invite two beneficiaries from their job placements as a proof.Golden scam indeed |
