Useless people, all they do is rant rant and rant, they can't bring their own bunch of heartless killers to justices, when other does it they go on rant dust as usual. Do we still wonder why Africa is still 100yrs behind? |
Freiburger: http://newsofafrica.org/2012/07/1000-nigerians-to-be-deported-from-austria.htmlI don't believe for a second that the ambassador signed such an agreement, does it actually make sense that any black person whose identity in Austria is in doubt would be deported to Nigeria? I mean who write and believe such crap? |
. Do I qualify for a student loan within the 5 year time frame or do I pay tuition like the EU students? Not cheap but not as expensive as international students? Yes, I'm an undergraduate and you're correct about the september session and fees. I'm currently owning a semester fees as it is. My school will give me a year off if I want but I have to go back to my country. I know for a fact that I won't a fraction of what I get from doing odd jobs here. Its a tough one.
I guess you will be entitled to student loan or pay as home student if you took the marriage route and pans out well for you though its not something i support. |
. I'm still in school, my visa is valid and I have until 2015 before it expires.
In that case i guess you are an undergraduate student and by Sept the school will be demanding that you pay up your fees for the coming semester. If your school fees is in the region of £8000-9000 a year, it will be almost impossible for you to make that money working part-time without taking a yr off-school (if your school allows you to do that). Can you have a chat with your school about your situation and arrange installment payment method with them? You pay certain amount quarterly? Now. . .marriage for paper. . .what will the arrangement be? Are you going to pay the person and hang on there for the next 5yrs before you can free yourself? Are you going to pretend to be inlove with the person and get married the leave the person after 5yrs? How will this work. . .because from this month marriage between British and any non-EU member will be put on probational period of 5yrs before you get the actual paper though you will have all the benefits like every other ILR holder but it will be a difficult one. If you decided to take that route then its a massive gamble, the man may change his mind anytime, he may start taking things to a level you are not comfortable with and there is nothing you can do about it because your stay in the UK solely depend on his actions. |
Even though i'm aware of the backlash i might get for not just daring to think this but actually voicing it out, i'm willing to risk the rage and holy indignation of some people by creating this thread. I don't know if its necessary to tell my story all over again but i'll be brief. I came to the UK to study, sponsor had a fight with my dad, took out his anger on me, abandoned me. Been faring for myself. working odd jobs. cleaning, factory but yet to realize what i need for even a semester fees. It occurred to me that if i can change my class of visa, that might help a bit. I won't be restricted to working 20 hours a week. The more work i do, the closer i am to raising what i need, the money for my tuiton. Its just a thought. I'm in a country where i don't have fam and not too sure of their immigration laws. Everybody seems to know something about the immigration laws here but i'm not willing to risk believing just anything. I just want something that will benefit me in the long run. I'm not looking for the red passport, just a way i can go to school. loans?or me working to achieve that. So anybody that knows anything about marrying for papers or just anything i can do to make it easy for me here should please let me know. Including going back to Nigeria. If you think that would pay, please let me know and your reasons too. Justwise, Siena plesae, your opinions are needed here. The ros and cons of marrying for papers. Thanks all.
To start with. . .what is your status now? Are you still in school? Is your visa still valid? |
Makomen Omonkhomion: @Justwise, Can My state government sponsor me? Because it seems that they have the interest in sponsoring me for ma studies totally.Read from 44 http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/pbs/Tier4migrantguidance.pdf |
firo: Thank you guys i got my visaCongrat, enjoy your studies. |
firo: Justwise can you please help us with this ?Yes you are expected to write down the £s Equivalent of your local currency but i seriously doubt that you will be refused a visa just for not writing it down, as long as you met all the requirements, your chances of getting the visa is high. |
shemy: Please, i still need clarification on the biometric issue, i stay in port harcourt and i have not done any biometric for visa pplication before, can i do the biometrics and still apply for visa the same day before travelling to visa centre twice to do these differently is not economical for meYou can do the biometrics at the centre on the day of submission |
NuNu08: Σα̲̅ñ sum1 pls send ♏ε̲̣̣̣̥ †ђξ link too download UK application forms?!http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/visas/vaf1a.pdf http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/visas/vaf1-guidance.pdf |
pato405: my brother, help me talk to this guy, I'm just tired of arguing with him. I'll have to ignore him. Everyone knows that getting a job as a foreign student is NOT an easy task here in UK. He's making it sound like it's a piece of cake. most people who get jobs that pay them up to £20,000 get such jobs after MSc usually during the 2yr post study work. some expend the whole 2yr post study without getting it - then, they go back home or try another country.I totally understand what you are saying, its a bitter truth some people do not want to tell. Very very few foreign students will get graduate job with student visa while there are about 3million British citizens out of work. |
sycamore: Please can anyone assist my brother.... Read the below reply during our conversation:Why did you not consider antenatal as medical treatment? The doctor or the GP your brother's wife went to see is employed and paid by British Govt, using his or her service should not be free IF you are not entitled for one. Visiting visa should not be used to seek medical treatment. If she want to appeal then let her get a receipt of the payment she made for that medical service rendered to her while in the UK else appealing will be waste of money and time. |
Ronaldo200: How would you claim I am not current? When I have just told you that my younger siblings have both just secure job and having visa processed?pato405 has a point, getting a job after graduation as a foreign student is not as easy as you claimed, please tell us when those your brother and sister graduated. |
IYA NGBALI: Honestly,i does not knows why peoples likes going to American and European to studies, cant peoples stays hear in nigeria and studies there curses instead of going to another people,s country to studies and learning bad bad things includen their culsore and traditionals. Now that the have introduction these face me i face you interview,i am very much in supporter of it,it would making people that does not knows how to spoke good english and grammar to sitting in nigeria to study in our own unifasity. You really need 'UK and America' education more than anybody else. |
firo: Hi ,that should not be a problem, they can convert it |
saxywale: emmhh, including Manchester, Trafford, Bolton, Salford, Ashton-u-lyne, Rochdale. Infact the whole of greater Manchester. The list keep coming. if you look at those areas carefully you will notice alot of bogus colleges there, Manchester especially, those bogus colleges created this problem foreign students are having now |
pato405: it's obvious he doesn't understand your statement - it's quite difficult making meaning from your earlier comment about Bradford & Luton if one doesn't live in the UK. little wonder he took umbrage and lashed out uncouth comments I rather agree with you on that highlighted part but will avoid saying it myself ![]() |
senate services: Chikenan! Lobatan o! I tink with introduction of one on one accademic interview, doz rich but empty skull foriegn prospective students won't even boda to apply for admmission Chinese students will be greatly affected, at the moment all you need to do is to present TOEFL result with acceptable scores and it will be accepted but we all know that some people paid someone to write it for them. One-on-One interview will expose quite a lot of people. |
r231: And some part of East London don't even start with that part now, people who live there will ram-you down here ![]() |
"justnotwise" i live in Abuja, Calabar and Lagos. Three places i'm prouder to say i live in than Camden or Central London or whatever metropolis in UK you live in that makes you feel you are more special than the dust i swept out of my office this morning. That's right! i said it Negro!!
You really have problem with your little self, what is all these rants all about? Those cities i pointed out to you have a large number of Asians hence in a way agreeing with you that if you live in those cities it will feel as if you live in India. |
UK is still trying to live out its glory days. Their Universities are overrated. You could learn the topics better being taught by an indian dude on youtube. They created a hype they're doing their best to sustain. If all the Nigerian, Asian and Middle Eastern students in UK decided today they will not pay tuition fees or buy anything for the next year, UK will crumble. Foreign nationals sustain their economy. Besides in my opinion Britain is more of an Indian state than a British one! lol
Yea. . .that is if you live in Bradford, Luton or some part of Leicester. |
pato405: they have pulled the trigger on themselves! besides increasing maintenance fees, the cancellation of PSW will discourage MANY students. no student is willing to part with over £20,000 [5mil] and be turned away just like that after the programme without the 2yr opportunity/grace to get a job, garner some useful experiences and prolly make some cash. it shows how self-centred the UK is. they are only interested in milking others without giving anything in return. how I wish this rule was in place before I came.Obviously this Govt will struggle to win the next election, they came to power at the back of ant-immigration rants and manifestos they proposed, now the number of immigrants are not falling, getting tough in foreign students has so far failed to reduce the number of immigrants in the UK because they are targeting the wrong group. They will run out of idea soon. |
afrokarma: So you are saying in essence that people should not go to Britain to study and earn degrees that are better respected in Nigeria than the sham ones doled out in the billions of glorified high schools masquerading as universities in Nigeria. Enough said!! |
@topic, Nothing will change really, they have driven away foreign student already the moment they cancelled PSW and stopped foreign students attending private colleges from working at all. As if that was not bad enough, they increased the maintenance money from £5400(outside London) to £7200 and for London is now £9000. The universities and colleges will feel the pain at the end of this admission season. |
Billyonaire: Why do people go to Britain apart from vacation and tourism ? That country is not innovative. Its like a retired City. Its not a market place like China or Turkey some people can't stop making some ridiculous statement. |
Serena made my day yesterday and to top it up Serena and her sister Venus won the double yesterday too. They invested in Africa by opening two schools in Kenya helping young Kenyans, what a generous role models!! |
