bily: and you call yourself justwise, seriously? ??
how difficult is it for you to understand he was simply saying you can condemn the man n shout all you want but don't attack his tribe or nationality which has nothing to do with his disgusting act.
na wa for Nigerians o,must everything be viewed from a tribal sentiment?
And before you start ranting garbage read the part of his post i specifically highlighted and made my comment.

Patsey: Don't be under any illusion, I neither condone nor tolerate this guy's actions or inactions. Nonetheless, this is not the only news in the UK about foreign or UK nationals behaving badly. In fact, whilst this story has not, as yet, hit the BBC news 24, the hot news on the channel currently concerns Mr Iftikhar and Mrs Farzana Ahmed who allegedly killed their daughter (Shafilea Ahmed) over her Westernised lifestyle (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4330608/Parents-killed-their-daughter-Shafilea-Ahmed-over-her-Westernised-lifestyle.html). And it's not an isolated case amongst Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis. Google 'HONOUR KILLINGS' and you'll have to trawl over zillion records and news items. Over the previous two weeks, it's been about Asian paedophile ring who were busted and convicted in Rochdale, North West England (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/9253712/Members-of-paedophile-gang-to-be-sentenced.html). Even the Police Officers who were investigating Ibori for corruption were themselves corrupt police officers (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/may/23/three-arrested-met-police-corruption?newsfeed=true).

I am not aware of any equivalent national websites where citizens of other nations around the world congregate to vilify their own, and that's my problem with Nigerians on NL. Yes, this dastardly act of this chemistry teacher brings us shame and dishonour especially at work. But, listen! Whenever work colleagues says things along the line of "reports claim that Nigerian politicians are corrupt?". I often respond by saying "oh yeah...just as there are reports on systemic and endemic corruption amongst British MPs who, for decades, were fiddling expenses claims". I've also been told, "Oh Patsey, I understand that the Nigeria Police is very corrupt" to which I responded along the lines of "oh well in the same way that I understand that the London Met is equally not insulated from all manners of corruption". In fact, today in the staff room -- packed with around 20 people -- one of the very senior managers (by the way, he's an Asian) asked across the room -- so everyone could hear him in his deep-toned male voice -- "Patsey, have you heard the news of the Nigerian teacher who is standing trial for child molestation" to which I promptly responded "Mr Patel, no, I've been following the news of the Indian-Pakistani family who killed their daughter over her Westernised lifestyle as well as the news of the Asian paedophile ring in Rochdale". Mr Patel gave me one punch. In return, I gave him two deadly blows. He quickly left the common room. A Ghanaian colleague winked at me, later telling me "I thoroughly enjoyed the insult you heaped back upon that stupid and arrogant Patel." And what's my point. We Nigerians need to stand up for ourselves wherever in the world we may be living and working and let the world know that wrong doers are 'demons' and 'beasts' from all nations, nooks and corners of this earth and not just from Nigeria.

MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL CONCERNED - the abused girl and her family as well as the wife and children of Mr. Keith Ogunsola. May this man -- whose teaching career is now over anywhere in the developed world -- fully come to terms with the 'demon' in his life and change for the good.
I'm so happy that Nigerians here in NL don't let go in condemning that fool who abused his position unlike you who preferred swiping it under the carpet by saying . . . 'other does it too' nonsense! completely nonsense! so what if other does it? So should it be acceptable? We have to condemn this publicly as long as this man is guilty of the allegation.

Because 'other' countries citizens does it then we should all keep quiet and take it as normal thing to abuse a 14 yrs old girl?

Almost all the documents you listed there that shows strong tie to Nigeria is not yours, its your sister's or your daddy, they are not the one travelling, it will be hard for you to convince the ECO that your sister want to spend almost all her saves on you to travel to the UK for a month. Hotel accommodation and flight will take more than half of that money.

You can still try i don't want to discourage you, sometimes ECOs make some strange decisions.

Go with the visa refusal letter to explain things to them, they may refuse to disclose much info to you because of Data Protection Act but you have to lay your complain about the alleged fingerprint mixed-up.

@poster,

This is a simple case, if you build the site then you are part of the scam. You don't know who their victim will be, not all victims are greedy. Stick to your professional ethics.

Thats why knowledge is power!!

Should he build the site, he is in a better position to inform his poeple on the site and advice them to avoid it!! But should this client take his business elsewhere, not only does he lose the money, but also the advantage of knowing the website in order to advice people to stay clear..

Nna this is business jor!

shooqueen: We know that the fingerprints were taken over six years ago and my husband lived in the north of the UK then (over 100 miles away form the area) but to prove he was not there is going to be impossible, we would have better luck in having his biometric data re-done and sent to the uk to be checked by the west midlands police. Do you know where he could do this, he lives in Abuja. Closer would be better as we have little time we only just recived the refusal of entry yesterday but it has a refusal date of the 10.05.12 on it. Many thanks.
If your husband can prove that he was living in the north then and never gave any finger print to midland police then he has a case, you can't give fingerprint by proxy, so if he was not there then he was not there.

He has to state where and when his fingerprint was taken and why it was taken in that appeal paper THEN the BHC will counter his claim with an evidence to prove that he gave his fingerprint to Midland police and why his fingerprint was collected.
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod):
shooqueen: Sorry one more thing. Do you know if the UKBA checks the fingerprints they take at the VAC or do they send them to the UK to check and if they are checked in Nigeria how do we get a copy of the results?
The fingerprint is stored in central database that is accessible by immigration or UK law enforcement agencies anywhere, the police or the immigration can check it with hand-held device even on the street.

shooqueen: Hi I'm new to the site and need help my husband has been refused a UK settlement visa, we will be putting in an appeal but one of the reasons given was that my husband did not declare that he has previously been known by another ID (they gave a name and date of birth of someone old enough to be our nonexistent son)and have biometric details (fingerprints) of my husband held by west midlands police. This is just not possible there has been a mix up somewhere; we think my husband's biometric details have been allocated to someone else in the vac or immigration offices. Has anyone come across anything like this before? Has anyone got any ideas as to how we can get a copy of both sets of biometric details? Please help!
This is strange one but could be sorted out, they need to tell you when the fingerprint was taken and where, then your husband can proof that he wasn't in that location at that time and date.

The case is this. . was your husband at midland police station on that day and time? If ur hubby can prove that he never gave his finger print to the police on that day and time then he will be fine

That is the core part of student visa requirements, you have to show that you have the school fees and the maintenance money for the duration of your course. There is no other way of going about it

jaydude: Pls u all should stop condeming the poster. We all cut corners in different areas of our lives so let's come off it. Moreover dis passport re issue in abuja is a big one! Transport, accomodation, time and all that...does it make sense that in a country with 36 states d only place one can do a re-issue is in abuja? Pls pls I've been 2 abuja earlier dis year for that and have issues wit my passport, I can't even risk my life travelling der again....pls if anyone has the contact of an nis official in abuja pls don't hesistate 2 help out....it doesn't make sense for me 2 go back 2 abuja cos I've already snapped and done ma thumbprint dis year, its just 2 change some details...thanks...if u also knw an nis officer in lagos that can link one up 2 abuja pls don't hesistate 2 help...
Things will be a lot better if we stop cutting corners and do things the normal way.

When you bribe an immigration officer to do the job he/her was paid to do it will make life hell for any applicant who got no money for bribe, his/her own passport application will be pushed behind while the immigration officer attend to people who he collected bribe from.

They will always look for bribe before they do anything for you because people like you are always ready to 'cut-corners'.

Why are we complaining about politicians and how bad Nigeria is if we don't see anything wrong with cutting corners?

...but whenever i look at cities like london and paris, i remember how slavery made those places what they are today. all those underground tunnels you see were done with cheap labour. you call is "days of unknown", people were humiliated, as far back as it seems. fellow HUMANS were actually treated like useless animals and so when theze yahoo boiz scam the greedy idiots. i just say to them- "please stop it, invest the one you have" but i dont feel bad for the victims cos most of them were either greedy or stupid. you can't fix that, can you?
Yahoo yahoo criminals scam every colour of skin and every nationality, just anybody that is silly enough to fall for it, i don't feel for the greedy victims but the negative effect on innocent Nigerians is what gets me angry, we are all regarded as Nigerians anywhere we go and seen as criminals.

BolaBankole: @ALL I am delighted to read from everyone I saw maturity in some comments while some commentators as usual has demonstrated there high level of un-intellectuality. Let us assume that the total number of nigerians engaging in this act are 5 million and this venture is fetching them there daily living if this unrighteous act is stop today where do you want this elements to venture into, it is easy to advice people to go into enterpreneurship but you quickly ask yourself that where is the platform in this country, our Goverment empowers the youth (graduate) by giving us Okada, keke napep, 25 thousand naira to start a bussiness. The question is how long will this go in solving the economic crisis in this country, which job has anyones father created that you want over 5million yahoo boy to venture into if they decide to secede.... As much as i will not agree with people going into crime what if the Goverment has not created a platform for crime imagine if our law enforcement are in place to enforce law, but how will they do tht when they know tht if they die they die invane and never for the country....before we judge we have to go back to the root caused of the problem or else little can efcc or metropolitan police can do to stop crime.... And it baffles me the way Nigerians come on air to claim to be holy as if they don't have a crocach in there cupboard. I once listen to the lagos state commisional of police that told a gathering that has Pat utomi in attendance that everyone sitted here are suspect. So what are we saying.
I don't have problem at all being rude to people like you, my blood boils when i read from morally dead plonkers.
So in your own fish brain we should not stop Boko Haram because if they stopped killing people there is no other job for them to do?

There is no justification for crime, stop trying miserably to look for an excuse why yahoo yahoo should not be condemned. They are bunch of heartless criminals and nothing else.

zalight: @ just wise,i sense lot of hatred in ur post and this has lead me to believe.you have either been a subject of intimidation from a yahoo guy or your girl have been snatched in the past either by the charm of a yahoo guy or by his dollars,in my opinion your anger is misplace .my advice is you should reserve ur hatred to the politicians that loot our money to abroad or to the fake pastors that cunningly take money from the poor vulnerable people after all 90% of this yahoo guys don't even cheat their fellow Nigerians rather they try to recover and bring back a little fraction of what our Colonial masters and some of our politician stole from our dear country in the past and are still stealing in the case of the politicians.FYI,the yahoo boys are not worser than their victim in terms of crime.take for an example a yahoo guy that decide to impersonate Ibori or Lucky Igbinedion and write to a potential client in America that he was a one time governor in a state in Nigeria that he want to transfer the money he stole while in office out of Nigeria and he wants a foreigner to help him keep this ill gotten money and in return he will give 40% of this money to who ever accepts to help him.
In my book,a clean person will refuse such a transaction and a noble person will even go a step further in reporting this mail to the appropriate law enforcement agency therefore who ever accept such a deal is not only an enemy of Nigeria but a worse r criminal than the yahoo guy that sent the mail.i am not against or in favor of yahoo guys but they are certainly not Nigeria biggest problem..the politicians ,fake pastors and coruption from high n low places are.,,,shoot me i have my bullet proof ready
Baseless assumptions, that never ever happen and my hatred for those animals are purely on the bases of what they do and the negative on every decent Nigerians, is as simply as that.

Your second part of the post is just silly excuses, they are thieves, so i don't buy those garbage you typed there as a away of excusing their wicked activities.
