@justwise tnx. gone tru the business visa website.bt dont really understand this paragraph-•
entry to the UK as the dependant of a
visitor. A dependant or family member will need
to qualify in their own right in one of the visitor categories.
That means that ur wife can not rely on ur documents, she has to present her own set of documents as well. You can use joint account but the money has to be enough for 2 adults.

@justwise, @ell77, @all I am worried indeed. I opened my account on 28 July and I intended to apply tomorrow (26 July) only to get to the bank this morning to find out my Dad withdrew a significant amount from the account making it about 300 pounds short (the account is in my name but my Dad has access to it and it is a current account) I was required to have my maintenance of 5400 pounds + my tuition balance of 5500 pounds totaling 10900 pounds but as a result of the withdrawal, I had about 10700 pounds. My agent advised that I pay up the balance of the tuition from some other account and apply as soon as I get my updated CAS (since my account would be sufficient to cover maintenance only) I have made the payment like my agent advised but my problem is this: my school resumes Sept 14 and I think I will apply next Thursday cos of the public holidays and waiting for my new CAS. There is a late arrival policy for 10 October but I am really worried and afraid that there isn't enough time. What do y'all advise?
Your agent is right, look for money elsewhere and make school fees deposit, you can pay as much as £500 then ask the school for new CAS that will reflect the payment.

As for the later arrival issue, ask your school for 2wks extension, when you are given print the email and attach it to ur visa application for the ECO to see.

justwise thank you  for the advce, please can she re apply after one week and use the same ducument she submitted before including invitation letter.
She can re-apply as long as she address those issues raised by the ECO, adding invitation letter will bring another dimension to it, with IV she has to get some documents from whoever is inviting her. . . passport data-page, tenancy agreement, bank statement/payslip. . .etc

@ justwise, actually i want to apply for student visa (Masters) but I am also looking at business visa bcause I run communication outfit with small savings and also think it might b cheaper. Although my wife already has a sister with papers over there so I dont know if visiting is ok for us. but the main question is how partners can show proof of marriage without marriage certificate? . and what do u think is my best bet .TNX
You need to get ur marriage registered with the appropriate authority then get the certificate, i don't think that family pictures alone is enough.

Going through student visa will be expensive obviously but it entitles you to bring ur partner, for business visa. . read this

i just can't see why anyone would pay that much for a 14-hr flight?

plan your trips like a year before your departure. . . .
most of the folks on the same flight would have paid less than £300 for the same flight you are paying £670 for. . . .
but £670 is not too bad. i paid £1000 to lagos in dec 2009 - direct fight though. . . .can't do stop-over ish. . . .
I paid £560 in Dec 29th 2008, direct flight with BA and i booked 3wks in advance.

I have decided not to with draw any amount of m0ney in account,bt bank service usually cuts small amount of every end of month and thus every end of m0nth there is appear of new closing balance.Forexample my next closing balance wil b 31/09/2011,will it be ok 4 me to aply on 20/oct or do i need to wait til 28/oct?
You may have a prob, that maintenace fees will be over-due in that account. . . . 28days + more than a month, since u still have time, you can 'half' the money in that account then put it back by first week of Sept and start counting the 28days again, in that case it will be due by 1st wk of Oct then u print it out. Just a suggestion.

@Justwise, do you think i can leave the airport and take a tour? I heard they offer a 45 mins tour on a bus called the floating dutchman. Hope the immigration officers will allow me smiley smiley. At least that way I can spend my 8hrs wait time in a fun filled way.
I don't think u can leave the airport without transit visa. Call the airline to find out.

Hello pPL, special thanks goes to justwise for being very helpful advicing ppl, and also to other people who contribute, i have sumthn confusing my brain concerning with bank statement.Am in joint accoun with my cousin, our money in account is more than 10,000 pound the m0ney was in acount m0re than 3 mnths til nw,my last ending of closing was on 24/aug/2011(yestday) when am i allowd to apply for visa,do i need to stay again 28 days? Reminding you that for whole 3 m0nth till nw the m0ney didnt go below 7200 pound, and i have already paid my all first year fees.
Boy619 you should deposited that money in ur account, joint account with ur cousin is not a good idea, i'm yet to see anybody who used such joint account. The account shouldn't be more than a month old after the 28days.

Please read this visa policy guidance to avoid mistake http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/pbs/Tier4migrantguidance1.pdf

Hi,I need your help please,my sister was refused a visa to visit our uncle the ECO said you state that you are self employed as a managing director of Bleep trading and supermaket ent, while I note you have submited documentation which shows this is register company on your name you have submitted no other documentation which confirms your income derived from this business.you have stated on your application that your montly income is xxxx you have not submitted a personal or company income tax clearance which would demonstrate your earnings derived from the bussiness the annal turnover or you tax contributions ,given these concerns I am not satisfied that your business and your economic circumstances are as stated.now she want to reapply an she don't no how to go about it pls help.
Very simply, your sister should address those issues raised by the ECO.  If she owns a company then should be able to provide those documents to back up her application. . . . her company's bank account, tax clearance . .etc

Hello House,
I & my youger brother intends to re-apply for a settlement visa in the uk,we applied 7yrs old when we were 24 & 22 but we were refused with no right of appeal,we then went on with our life here in nigeria, schooling actually, now we are 31& 29 respectively, but we miss our family so much,so we decided to re-apply now,our parents are EEA nationals. Our mum who has been in the uk since 1990 married our step-father in 2001 and she has the same immigration status and he intends to appeal our application if we are refused again.

The uk immigration gives us the right to apply for settlement visa despite our age,its says & i quote:

"If you are over 18 and have a parent settled in the UK, or if you are a sister, brother, aunt, uncle or any other relative of a person settled in the UK, you may qualify if you meet the conditions listed in the previous paragraph and you are living alone in the most exceptional compassionate circumstances."
It will interest u to know that our much younger brothers applied in 2003 when they were 17 & 14 respectively and they were issued visas, they ve been resident in uk since 2003.
Reason of the visa refusal was that we didnt show evidence that i & my brother were true dependants of our parents which was a mistake on my part due to lack of adequate experience in visa application, but they didnt give us the chance to show evidence.
Am a graduate now and my brother still an under-graduate.
Good people what are our chances??
You and your brother still stand a chance IF you provide those materials for show of dependant. These documents are things like: Birth certificate, family pictures, your mums passport data page, tenancy agreement/mortgage documents, bank statement/payslip.

Your parents has to show that they have enough accommodation for you and ur brother and a good source of income for the whole family.

Apart from your brith certificate, you also need to submit ur results, or any other qualification you have.

Crime › Nigerian In Jail For Sham Marriage by justwise(op): 8:58am On Aug 24, 2011
A MAN quizzed over his sham wedding could only tell cops his new bride "was big, black and liked cigs and chicken burgers".
Mojeed Bello, 31, was rumbled when a vicar spotted a lack of romance as the Nigerian wed Dutch-born Carina Merselina, 25.

Rev Robert Simpson then went to their "home" address and found it was student digs, a court heard.

Cops swooped on the newlyweds at the registrar's office as they went to pick up their marriage licence.

Illegal immigrant Bello insisted the relationship was genuine - but when quizzed he could tell hardly anything about his bride. Prosecutor Martin Steen told the court: "He appeared to know little about her except that she was 'big, black and liked smoking and chicken burgers'."
