Newbie123: 15k Nothing is impossible but it’s impossible for you to pull that off. You have only 4months of summer holiday to work full time, to hit your target you to be taking home at least £2800 net monthly for that 4months then when you are back to school you return to 20hrs which may take care of your rent , bills and feeding. |

If you have 80-100 percent of the first year fees prior to resumption, what would it be like working to pay off the remaining 2 years?
Thanks How much is the school fee per year? |

I could not see the mail on time and the visa was declined with options for administrative review. I have submitted the administrative review earlier December. But this morning I received a refund of the IHS fee. I kindly want to know what is the implications of this This is normal, your IHS get refunded if your application is not successful. If the AR is successful you will be asked to pay back the IHS |

marylandcakes: The point I am trying to make is that all cities have got their good and bad areas some worst than others, drug problems is as bad as knife problems because it tears families apart and changes their lives forever. When the drug problem is taken out, it will reduce the other crimes.
If you want to live in a crime free area it’s better to live in a small village, with no train station or high street. With one c of England, one pub and one corner shop. And where everyone knows each other and know when a strange face comes into town. Lol |

No, she isn’t paying a dime but she is complaining bitterly that the house is outskirts (20 minutes drive from towns centre), why didn’t they rug the entire house?, where do they want her to get the money to complete the rest of the rooms. It’s far from kids school cos their school is in town.
I just weak listening to her moan about why government isn’t doing this and that for her. Like 1/3 of my salary goes to taxes and NI funding your likes and you are complaining Just imagine that! That sort of person will never get a job, just stay home making babies and claiming even more benefits while we work to pay for it. |

marylandcakes: You are right, most Uk cities with a train station and high street have these problems. Glasgow is the no one drug capital of Europe so Scotland is not exempted.
The Most Dangerous Areas in Scotland 0 Comments 962f0214632a214aa51d0e77ce0c605d?s=96&d=mm&r=g scotland Written by regionadmin 2nd April 2021 Scotland When it comes to researching the most dangerous places to live and work in Scotland, a lot of different types of surveys would appear ranging from all of the crime rates that can occur in the area. Scotland is an independent country and though a lot of the research found was closely linked to other parts of the United Kingdom these are the top 6 places for high crime rate in just Scotland alone: Glasgow City Edinburgh City Dundee City West Dunbartonshire North Lanarkshire Aberdeen City The problem I have with Luton is lack of investment in social infrastructures, they keep maintaining outdated infrastructures and refused to modernise them. This is very common in many city councils outside London where you have majority ethnic minority running the council, running most of the businesses, owning houses. They award contracts to companies linked to friends and families. No maintenance culture. Identify politics etc. The same problem in Bradford but look at Leeds which is just 20mins away, far better than Bradford’, properly managed. The whole thing be come a mess when Eastern Europeans moved in especially gypsy Romanians . Crime and antisocial issues skyrocketed. |

claremont:

I have lived and worked all over the UK, including London. London is the epicentre of druggies and drunks.
Luton has been reviewed everywhere online to be an absolute sheeithole, the reviews by people who were born and bred there cannot be wrong. I visited Sainsburys in Luton once for a training meeting and it reminded me of when I used to live in Sunderland. An absolute destiny killer soul destroying place to live in. I have also lived in some cities in the UK and my experience in Luton is no different from other cities. They all have good and bad areas. Luton review Is about infighting between residents. White British blaming Asians and Eastern Europeans for crime and other antisocial problems |

Olinga: Edinburgh is not like that oh hehehe. Clean and crisp city. In fact most cities in Scotland are clean and clam except Glasgow sha. Is either you haven’t seen your town centre on Saturday or Sunday morning or you are living in denial. I repeat again… no single city in the UK is free of this problem. They all have bad areas, drug dens, run down council houses. |

Aprokodaughter: True city centers and high streets can be rough. No city in the UK without such prob especially when you have universities, bus and train stations located very close to town centres which is typical of UK cities apart from maybe London. |

HollyMadison: Yes I do.
I went from Newcastle city centre to Luton town centre, and I was in for a shock. What you saw in Luton or experiencing is not different from what happens in Newcastle town centre areas unless you don't get out on weekends or live close to town centre. You will not see such in LU3, 4, or 5 part of Luton. LU2 area mostly close to train station and beginning of high town road are rough areas. |

Although I heard Luton is quite rough from someone that lived there and looking to move but not the extent of what you have described here. I know Luton very well and still have close friends living there. What she described is common in almost all town centres in the UK and areas close to town centre especially on weekends |

HollyMadison: Luton is rough, I’m part of the people living here. Lots of drugs, gambling, burglaries. Everywhere is just rough, maybe because I’m comparing to Newcastle oo… but I had to adjust my walk and dressing to avoid talk. The number of Junkies that will walk up to you and ask for money or drugs or smoke sef go shock you. On new year na so ambulance full everywhere, apparently some people had over partied and overdosed. And it’s dirty, you’ll see different types of vomit, shit, broken glass as you’re walking around.
There are other cities to stay in UK, research can’t give you the full low down on a city/town before you move. You either see it yourself or hear from someone else. You live in LU1 area? |

LuchiBianca : You people should stop decalaring your visa refusal to your school. Those letters are usually generic. You just have to look for someone with a turkey refusal letter, scan and send to them since they are insisting or better yet apply to another school because they will not give you CAS.This is not a good idea, schools are very likely to withhold your tuition fee deposit in the even of visa refusal if you did not disclose previous visa refusal. |

Ebalafaa: Take it from me first hand as I went through this experience recently. YOU CANNOT TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN ON A STUDENT VISA IF THE OTHER PARENT IS NOT COMING EXCEPT THE OTHER PARENT IS DEAD, THE STUDENT SHOWS PROOF (court evidence) THAT SHE HAS SOLE CUSTODY FOR THE CHILDREN OR THE ECO IS CONVINCED THAT IT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILDREN TO TRAVEL WITH YOU (This particular test is very subjective and open to different interpretation).
I emphasise here a consent letter will not suffice. I submitted 2 different consent letters (one signed by my daughter's father solely and the second signed by both parents) and I still received a NSF mail. In conclusion I had to involve a UK immigration lawyer to sort out the application before things were messed up and here we are now in the UK. Its not only couples that come to the UK to study, single mothers also do, the only difference is how you present your case A mother can travel with kids without their daddy IF and IF you put in place a plan for those kids, consent letter alone is not enough. The biggest question you need to answer is...who will look after those kids while you are at the university? Did you make childcare/school arrangement for them? Have the money? Have evidence of all that? |
