On the veracity of this account, we've been over it and the MOD of this section has been duly informed about the activities of Coracle on this platform. This is false, i was not informed about your activities here and i do not encourage anybody to deal with you directly, whoever wants to deal with Corade should do that directly through their official website and not you. dustydee: That is not true. You are not God and do not know where he would have been. not everyone that moved abroad was jobless or poor. I came to school and was offered a job before I finished, which I took because I wanted "international experience". For a number of years and sometimes even till now I still wonder if I made the right call given where I would have been. I had a very good and high paying job which many people would literally die for. I plan o return, hopefully soon but for now, I am trying to make up lost ground. Please don't air your opinion about someone's situation or decisions as fact because you may be wrong. You misconstrued my post and went off rail with your reply. What is the retirement age in USA? If you came back from USA after 33yrs with nothing to start a life in Nigeria how long will you live to make? |

yemiosinbajo: If he had done this, you probably would have claimed that he did so because the Nigeria of 33 years ago was better than the Nigeria of today, and would not have done so today. Now, he has done so today, but you still find a way to antagonize.
And, what in the world do you mean by, "a country that gave you EVERYTHING?" What the hell is your definition of Everything? He has been sharing the experience of things he has been doing since he returned to Nigeria - are those part of the everything that the US give him, too?
Everyone has what they love and hate, what they miss or enjoy. I know you all are still in disbelief that someone actually went to the US and came back home totally voluntarily despite being in legal status. It's OK to have any disbelief, but what's the point antagonizing him; something that you, the moderator, would be uncomfortable to see, and probably call "derailing" if the thread had been the usual beauty-of-moving-to-yankee-and-leaving-Nigeria that we always see here? You completely missed the point and still managed to write episodes on a false assumption. I have specifically pointed the area of his comment I have issues with and not about moving back to Nigeria. How is that hard for anyone to get? |

EgunMogaji2: And I’ll always be grateful for all the opportunities. But she’s not el dorado for me. Period.
I’m sorry if I gave an impression that I’m trying to sell you an idea of believing me. I could care less really. The facts have been written. Too late bro, USA was el dorado for you for 33yrs and you achieved a lot living there and in another phase of your journey in life now. That's all I'm saying, I'm not against you moving back Nigeria as I have repeatedly said here. If you started a life in Nigeria in your current age you will never achieve what you have in the last 33yrs period. |

EgunMogaji2: I’ve always loved Nigeria. That has never changed. I’m sorry you feel otherwise.
I went to the USA to study legally and wasn’t an economic immigrant.
I was gainfully employed in the beautiful and working Nigeria of the 80’s before deciding to pursue a commercial pilots license in the USA.
After 33 years in the USA there’s nothing there for me. USA is not el dorado for me. I’ve stated it ad nuseum that the world is my oyster. I have several countries in Asia that’s on my bucket list.
I’m not done yet, Nigeria just happens to be where I hang my hat now. Amongst my fellow tribals men. After 33 years in a country that gave you everything? If you had left the USA a year or two after you arrived there and returned back to Nigeria then i will believe you. The USA exposed you to those opportunities you have today and the ability to retire to any country of your choice and not Nigeria. |

EgunMogaji2: Where did I say I was doing anything to help Nigerians? I’m not running a charity. But I’m sure the tens of millions I’ve individually pumped not the economy did not hurt Nigeria.
I came back to my dutiful home. I owe no explanation nor apology to anyone.
It’s much cheaper to retire to certain other countries than Nigeria for me.
You’re young still, so when you get to retirement age then you and I can have that conversation. I don't really believe people who starts loving Nigeria only after they might have enjoyed life abroad for years, suddenly Nigeria is a great place, there is nothing abroad. Reading your posts in this thread and other threads i have issues with the above line of argument from you. I have no issue with people retiring to any part of the world. |
Travel › Re: Yankee To Naija: Thoughts And Experiences by justwise(mod): 9:40pm On Jan 02, 2020 |
EgunMogaji2: Trust me those countries are not complaining. In fact they create specific visa class for foreign retirees.
Retirees bring in dollars and infuse it into the local economy. And because they didn’t contribute to the social pool as you suggested so they cannot get any government assistance. Retirees pay for everything out of pocket.
Just like in Nigeria, what has Nigeria given me or done for me? I’ve paid out of pocket for everything.
It’s a win win. Its a lot cheaper to retire in Nigeria, you are not doing it primarily to help Nigerian/Nigerians, just to help yourself and i'm not against that. |

I really understand your Grammar... If you have a LIEN on your account or Sponsor Acc. That should not problem.
A lien is a RESTRICTION place on an account, ordering the Bank not respond / acknowledge any Transaction below a specific Account.
For example, if u have N5m in ur account but need 15m for a purpose and thereby approach me to help u transfer 10m to ur account.
If I don't trust u wont RUN/WITHDRAW with my money, we can both go to ur bank and REQUEST for a standing-Order for a LIEN to be placed on: N10m till agreed date. (Usually a month) & 10m will automatically transfer back to my account. Or on request...
But this LIEN will not appear when u print ur BANK STATEMENT. INSTEAD ALL BALANCES TOGETHER APPEARS.
So no worries!
Happy new year to All of us. Good news in Jesus name Why? |

Campdavid101: After 5/6 visit visa refusals between 2014 and 2017, fastforward to 2018 we switched to settlement visa after 103 working days wait In 2018 we got a refusal it was heartbreaking and felt like the end of the road i had to leave nairaland cos couldn't stand the comments and pple sharing their success stories! LOL In 2019 after 156 working days nightmares we finally got our YES! My family has been separated for nearly 5 years. We’ve spent thousands of pounds on visits, visit visa applications, calls to HO, lets not even talk about the emotional trauma we’ve been through. I had already given up hope about hearing from Home Office this year but God had other plans for me. My timeline is crazy, i can’t even believe it myself. We paid for priority but I’ve learnt that every application is different so don’t compare yours with someone else’s.
Category A salaried employment Priority Country of application: Nigeria Application submitted: 3rd May 2019 Biometrics: 13th May 2019 ECO consideration email: 31st May 2019 (14WD) Request for further documents: 19th June 2019 (27WD) Further doc submitted the next day on 20th June 2019 Email saying further checks were being done: 3rd July 2019 (37WD) NSF email: 2nd August 2018 (59WD) In between 2nd August till the last day, countless calls and emails and complaints to HO were made but they insisted that the further checks must be completed and they could not disclose the nature of the checks. I involved my MP and he emailed them more than 3/4 times and he got the same reply as me each time. I sent different complaints to different HO email addresses but none helped as I was getting the same reply. I stopped escalating and calling and complaining as these weren’t helping me instead it made me and my spouse even more frustrated. 9th December 2019: Called to escalate and they said still awaiting decision (149WD) 18th December 2019 (156WD): TLS collection email We finally got our yes!!! Christmas definitely came early for us. I had given up all hope. I submitted all the right documents, did everything correctly so I honestly can’t explain what happened or why it took so long or the nature of the further checks as they refused to disclose what it was. I’m just happy this nightmare is over. No calls to me or my employer. Just request for further document. I’ve learnt that everything has a time, if you’re waiting longer than others, one day, just out of the blues, when you least expected it, you will get your yes. Be patient!!! Congratulations!! |

thorpido: It is either the pastor is ignorant or just wants the money to come into the church. This is very common in many churches, the first fruit to them is about your first salary of the year. |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Issue Of First Fruit by justwise(op): 11:28am On Jan 01, 2020 |
Masking: 2Corinthians9:7.
The isrealites of the old testament were under the law of moses and followed stringent guidelines on giving.
Under the law of Christ however, that above scripture is now the guiding principle.
So if you desire to give your first fruit, it should not be under COMPULSION, or cause you're afraid God will block your blessings if you didn't. It should be cos your heart impels you to.
I'm sure you know as a christian you're now under the law of christ.
You may wanna compare the concluding part of exodus 22:29, also deuteronomy 22:11. Those scriptures are hardly binding on christians today.
True, the phrase first-fruit is used in the new testament. But no where was it used as "first fruit offering" required from the members to the church. It was a mosiac requirement. Thanks for this comment, I couldn’t have said it better, I have to go back to read those two bible verses you mentioned and it even threw more insight into the whole argument. I appreciate your contribution. |

thorpido: @bolded,in the old testaments, they were mainly farmers and usually brought the best of their harvests. In this generation,'professions' have simply been monitized and that is why most bring their first salary.
I personally do not believe it is a law and compulsory but if your faith agrees with it,you can do it. That is my view as well but recently i was invited to a church where the pastor was going high on it claiming that one can not argue against the bible. |

Applying to the jobs directly is another alternative to consider, I am actually looking into this for my brother who is the programmer actually if we can get an agency that would help with the job placement, also help secure accommodation etc to help him ease into a foreign country. Now you are calling for scammers to take you to the bank, RalphJean has done half of the job for you, all you or your brother needs to do now to research and apply. Deal with the company directly and if you are successful then they will help you with settling down or you ask questions here when you get to that stage. |
