KamranFai: Hi Everyone, I wanna ask that a friend of mine has applied visa for US, but he got refusal . The reason by embassy is that he has travelled to another country before, while infact my friend has never been outside to the country. Look for US visa thread and post this or ask the VO in one other their threads. |

Ade8889: This is kind of long but I need advice. My bf and I want to get married etc. We have been dating for some time now.He is Nigerian and I am from the USA. We both met in the UK as uni students. I am in the middle of my PHD and my bf degree just ended. I was thinking we get married in Nigeria and I follow up the process of changing my name on my US passport and get a Nigerian passport. I was thinking it would be an easier transition for him to come as my tier 4 dependent if we had the same last name. At the moment, we are not focusing on the green card because I do not live in the USA and I have stay in the UK for 5 years. I've also been in the UK four years prior to my 5 year stay. That is possible after getting married in Nigeria and meeting the financial requirements |

Cranberry17: Hi Guys,
So I've been following this thread as a guest but decided to join in the discussion today especially because I had my appointment this week. My interview went smoothly, I'm earnestly hoping for the best. However, I remembered that I didn't drop my printed CAS statement and neither did I write my IHS number anywhere on my submitted application, hope this won't affect my application? The CAS printed copy is not important, the most important thing is the CAS number which you entered in the form. I'm not sure about IHS number |

elope: what i am trying to say is this... the money in the account is mewnt for two people... can d student go firrst and when the visa is out, dependant will use same bank statement in the samr account to apply. because due to the rate increament, it can no longer be used for one person Yes again as long as the money in that account is enough, but you need to printout a current bank copy of the same bank account before using it, not the same copy the student used for his/her application. |

soulhighman: Justwise, sorry to disturb you again o. I have these questions. 1. I have submitted my online application for tier 4 visa but how do I sign the declaration? Can I just write my name? 2. I plan to book my appointment/submission of forms against Thursday, is it a must to put on suit to the place. Can I just dress in native attire if I don't hace a suit. Cos I do not have a suit. 3. And please, how long could it take for my tier 4 visa to be granted. Thanks. You are asking these questions in a wrong thread. 1. Sign it the way you sign every other form 2, No you can wear anything you are comfortable with. 3. minimum of 15 working days, sometimes shorter. |

yolemum: She was working she had the visa, the time she travelling they put them of standby(Redundancy) becos of drop in oil price. She is presently out of work She will find it difficult to renew that visa when it expires. Staying 3months in the UK while she indicated only 3 weeks during her application is a mistake. What is she doing in the UK paying for hotel accommodation and feeding for 3months is what she needs to explain when stopped and asked or during renewer |

mya1: Thanks Justwise.
He currently studies in Germany and we intend getting married there. I've visited him a few times and he's been to the UK too. I would like to know if these factors would exempt us from some spousal visa requirements expecially finance as I'd like for him to join me permanently in the UK next year.
Also, are there any EU family laws that we can use to our advantage in this instance? Although I've done some research in this regard , all results point back to surinder singha. Ok good, see if this link helps https://www.gov.uk/family-permit/eligibility |

MrsDaniels: This is the reason why we keep asking you guys over again. Cos Justwise wud advise and tell u wat to do, then anoda person says it must be the day u applying , someone like me now i have 6m in acc, what if bfr 28days gets here d exchange rate mks it higher for example by 50,000naira higher do they expect us to go top up and start counting again? Its crazy and scary mehn! @olowoB I get that and I really don't want to keep pushing my view on this topic because is just an opinion. Individual applicant will have to make their own decisions and have peace of mind. If that worries you too much then make a deposit to your school for accommodation, £1000 maxi if you can without touching the money in your account. |
