Koolking: I killed my time and read opinions on this topic page by page. I am actually spell-bound by Nigerian mentality. I thought we had been freed from this self-destruct-mentality.
To actually believe the Op pursuit of truth is a defamation of character to her ex-house help - due to unfounded claim of 'jazz' as motivator, you deserve to be shot in the head.
I have given up on Nigerians. Their problems need 'undo it yourself' solution. They are beyond redemption. I'm shocked beyond belief reading some posts here |

The wife has the right to be angry but leaving her husband because he went to save his mother is silly. |

Cindino20:
U may be right but I wont describe it as Naivety...she like most pple in Germany (includin me) listened to human part in them and showed empathy and sympathy towards the refugees.. lookin the other way was nt an option and till date its not not after seeing those horrifyin videos comin out from Alepo with the regime using barrel bombs ..migrants drownin in the meditterean ..the picture of Alan Kurdi comes to mind.
Yes mistakes were made ...the vettin process was compromised as the influx was unprecendented...Givin the conditions then there was nothin that could ve been done differently with more than 10k pple comin in a day.
Although the sentiments may ve changed I m of the opinion that Merkel,Germans and everyone who was for "open borders" did nothin wrong.
The pple we should blame re these sick brain washed lunatics who can get their sh.it together..
Going forward ...more screenin shld be done and if possible women and kids shld be allowed in and the young men shld stay back and fight for their con3. Yes but even at that you don't open your border and invite anybody who wants to come in considering the security implications. Some of these people don't care how nice you are to them they will still going to kill at random. It never worked anywhere maybe German security agencies will do better than the French |

Eke40seven: All these are happening in our Bavaria. The entry point of these guys. Lets see what Merkel will say in the next few days. The feelings of doubt as to the correctness of her open border policies to refugees from these dangerous war torn countries will start sinking in now? Whether she will make a U-turn on a policy in which she so much gambled her popularity upon is a question only the future have answers to. To be honest this is a mess created by Merkel naivety. the UK promised to take only 20,000 people in 5yrs and other EU countries have taken less and locked their borders. No Arab country is willing to take anybody coming from Syria or other war torn countries even when its a lot easier for them to integrate. I hope i'm wrong but its going to get messier because of huge amount of people that came in within a short period of time. |

yemdogg: Baba Justwise this one wey you get our time today halleluyah
A note verbal is quite an important document but does it really cure any defect in a study permit application?
Moreso, he doesnt even work with the government; he works with an organisation who processed the note verbal on his behalf. These VOs dont just attach much importance to all the documents submitted by applicants, They have guidelines for reviewing and processing study permit application. They select relevant ones and discountenance others. Dont get me wrong i am not saying a note verbal is irrelevant or unimportant but in this context it seems a bit farfetched.
How does a note verbal expedite his application? we all know that most times when we submit our study permit applications they remain on queue for several weeks before the VOs even review the documents submitted. Until your application is opened, a VO would not know if you added a note verbal or not. Although some applications are attended to randomly. My point is, unless and until your application is opened a VO would ordinarily NOT know which document you submitted be it note verbal. Unless the Note Verbal is not included in his application package but sent directly to cic. More particularly so, he is not an official of the govt, he is not a diplomat, he is not going on an official assignment for the govt; He is simply furthering his studies; The vo may not see any cogent reason why his application should be expedited. Or is he one of those DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDER peeps . Well i have not read the note verbal so i wouldnt know what was stated in it. All am just saying is that it would be advisable for him to first tie loose ends in his application. a note verbal is an addendum.
CIC has expressly stated the ways and means in which you can expedite your application. Its on their webiste.
I HAVE NOT USED A NOTE VERBAL BEFORE NEITHER HAVE I SEEN ANY ONE USED IT BEFORE SO I DONT KNOW TO WHAT EXTENT THESE VOs ATTACH IMPORTANCE TO IT. BUT SINCE YOU ARE CONVINCED THAT THE VO WILL ATTACH IMPORTANCE TO IT THEN BY ALL MEANS SUBMIT IT. ACTUALLY IT DOESNT HURT YOUR APPLICATION. I WISH SEUNSKILLS BEST OF LUCK
I WOULD LOVE IF EGBON JUSTWISE EDUCATES ME FURTHER ON THIS SUBJECT...............WE LEARN EVERYDAY I was not and still not working for the govt when i first used note verbal but i was living with a family member who is a serving diplomat at that time. My first visa application to US was refused for lack of home tie and the Secretary forgot to add the note verbal to my package we only realized this after leaving the embassy. It was included in my second application to another embassy and it was successful within 4days. This application was for academic purposes. All my applications were made outside Nigeria while on posting. If note verbal is used correctly it does help the application You don't get note verbal from an agent or a friend who works for govt agency or parastatal. I'm saying this with the believe that seunkills works for an organization who has the right to issue such document. |

ChinenyeOsi: Good day everyone. Please i have a very urgent question about this UK spouse visa.
I applied a week ago from V.I, Lagos. My documents were alright but there are two problems.
1. I didn't do the TB test or include the certificate 2. My proof of English is my bsc and I haven't collected the certificate as I didn't school in Nigeria. I submitted school fees receipts showing I paid for all 4 years though and letter showing I was not indebted to the school financially.
I called UK visa customer care and they sent an email to Sheffield on my behalf and said Sheffield will write me back with instructions as to whether I can still submit any document or not as my application is already ongoing and I have received an email saying that they've started consideration. However, a family friend advised that I just send the TB certificate to them before they ask..
Please help me guys.. I'm confused about this and also what are the chances of being granted the visa in this situation. My husband and I do not want to lose that money and we've been away from each other since our wedding in March.. This is the right thread for your question https://www.nairaland.com/823869/uk-spouse-visa-appeal-process-part2/191#823869.6130 |

seunskills: Thanks for your reply. Note verbal was prepared on my behalf and it was signed by an official from foreign affairs, since I am a uniform officer, though I'm going for an academic program, it's usually treated as an assignment since I was officially cleared for it and I'm coming back to my job. There was nothing curious in my application to attract the attention of the VO, I reason that each country's high commission usually have diplomatic relationship and should respect such letters from each other. I haven't seen such since I joined this forum so I said I should clarify what I was told. I'm more concerned about my submission time which is close to date of resumption. If you forgot to add any other thing to your application make sure you don't forget to add note verbal and i'm saying this from experience. Good luck |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by justwise(mod): 10:33pm On Jul 26, 2016 |
yemdogg: I seriously doubt if a VO would attach much importance to the note verbal .....it's a diplomatic communication prepared in the third person and unsigned. It's more relevant for institutional purpose or inter governmental agencies or relations.
If you submit an airtight application you don't need such document.....besides it is advisable to keep your application simple. Submiting a note verbal will only make a VO more curious about why you included a note verbal in your application. Or does it really serve a purpose in your application? You're applying for a study permit right? If so a VO won't see any need to expedite your application in anyway or manner. Especially since you're not going for an assignment for the federal government.
A letter of introduction from the ministry suffices.
Please and please do not arouse the curiosity of the VO attending to your application.
My 2cent I'm sorry but you are wrong on this..i mean very wrong. Note verbal will do his application a great deal. |
