Unfortunately I don't have any as I can't recall where I kept them. Even my tax refund I can't place now. I have just been thinking of the easiest way I can get this number so that I can submit my visa application say Monday or Tuesday. This is about the only thing holding me now. I am trying to avoid the bureaucracy of HM Treasury who might not want to give me the number over the phone because I don't really have plenty of time
Did you apply or receive your tax return before leaving the UK?

If not then they might have sent the check to your address in the UK and your national insurance number will be on it.

Greetings everyone,

Please I need some suggestions on an issue. I am currently filling my online visa application form for studies in the UK and I am required to supply my NI number if I had been assign one before. The issue is I got an NI number when I did my Msc in the UK, but I have misplaced the document and I don't have the number written anywhere. It's there anyway I can get the number back so that I can include it in my application? Saying I don't have the number is not an option as UKVI already have it on their record.

Frontpagelawyer Justwise I just read of the visa-free entry to the UK for Commonwealth countries. Any truth in the article?
No truth in that, it was started by a lady who is wanted by British govt for an alleged visa fraud.

She has been spreading this false news for months now.

Why not give the poster instruction how to go about it? All that is required is the print out confirmation of the flight reservation from the airline's website you've planned to use. It's free, so you don't have to charge anyone.
Please report any ID who is trying to turn this thread to business center.

Thank you.

You have no idea how much i hate that, people will start a thread but don't want to have the discussion openly for everybody to learn.

Let him enjoy that info offline

Its 5yrs mortgage deal, pay your monthly dues or get your house repossessed .

My hubby is working and cant leave his work and come with us
...and am yet to make any care arrangement
That is good enough reason not to come with you people.

First you need to make care arrangement for your kids and adequate accommodation.

Your hubby can apply for visiting visa later to visit during his leave but he needs to write a letter explaining all these AND a consent letter allowing you to travel with the kids.

Is your hubby working or running his own business in Nigeria?

You can't drag your hubby to the UK if he was something doing in Nigeria.

There is a member here who faced similar situation last year and was able to get a visa and travel with her daughter.

Have you made care arrangements for your kids? adequate accommodation?

Hello, please I have very serious question.

my question follow.

I have my uncle who marry British woman and just goes to UK not up to a Month, he applied for sponsor visa from Nigeria and the application was granted. But getting to UK now the marriage is not working out because the woman I never marry before at age of 45yr and she very troublesome and my uncle cant stand the nagging and the fight everyday, he not ready to dead with her problem.

so my uncle can't stand the marriage again because the woman is killing, What can my uncle do to change the paper from the relationship with his wife.

We need your advice, my uncle is coming back to Nigeria to attend my wedding October and go back UK after 3month now.

so we just need you advice what him can do in next few month coming now.
Oh well, your uncle has to make the marriage work or end it and return to Nigeria. I'm just wondering why he suddenly realized all these character issues after getting the visa and moving to the UK.

I have looked for a thread about life in Canada but could not find one. I know about the "Travel to Canada" thread, but what I see there is mostly guidance for the application.

What I will like to know are:

What should one expect as an immigrant?

What should one prepare for, for example: the very cold weather ?

How easy is it to settle in? Especially with kids?

And any other info that will help a newly migrated skilled worker.

I have to be sincere with you, I understand one guy told you to get your way to Gambia that from Gambia u might link a certain country. It's all lie my brother! The money you go spend in all go reach 200k or more sef for just transport, and they don't speak English so don't be deceived! I understand you tired of the country and you really wanna travel out for greener pasture but no money. Don't rush it my brother. Lemme advise you, anything you fit do to save money please start saving the money he no fit reach one year for you to save 500k at least, I understand it's hard for you to believe you can raise such amount but 50naira sef is something my brother

When you have saved a lot then come back to Nairaland and ask for anyone who can do uk or any European country visa for you that you will only pay for the visa when you've been granted and you are good to go. I will advise you one thing, NO AFRICAN country is better than Nigeria, don't be deceived please. I have been to Ghana, Cameroon, Liberia And Ivory Coast, not to link into any country but on vacation strictly and I spent a lot. So don't feel am just discouraging you. Stay in Nigeria but be focused and save a lot you can travel afterwards..
No he is not good to go because he will be wasting his money applying for that visa or paying an agent.

Since there's a $1000 limit for western union, can I get another person(my mum)to send another $1000 to the same person(the school)making it $2000;then I'll complete the rest deposit with MasterCard. Can it work this way?

Pay half with MoneyGram, i think max will be $1000 then pay the other half with your Mastercard. Some bank rates are lower than others. Some banks also have a cap of $1000 for forex transactions.

I thought we had resolved all these issues previously. Even Seun had to come in.
She said she has details of affordable hospitals, if they are hospitals already mentioned here, I don't think she will be talking about them.
Coming here to read is also researching so I don't know what your argument is.
The hospitals listed on this thread have already been overused so having new hospitals listed should be encouraged.
I don talk my own... Cheers.
..and what was the conclusion when this issue was discussed here before?

Yes he overstayed the 28 days. Basically he was dealing with a lawyer. Well the lawyer gave him a letter two months later stating he needs to leave the UK. We don't know why the lawyer would give him the letter two month later.

Oh well..he just have to apply and explain his situation truthfully then the ECO will make the decision, if he get refused he can go for administrative review to plead his case with ECM.

Just seeing all these things makes me so sad. I am not about to bash una Nigerian doctor in America but abeg try and enter health grades and search for someone else.If the location or hospital is your choice, then look for another doctor within that hospital under healthgrades. Some one has admitted that its laziness that causes "she and some people" to go for the easy hospital and doctor so you are on your own tongue

I am in a helping mood now. I have friends that used other doctors in different locations who have given me information on them because they don't fill like joining Nairaland so somebody that knows should tell me how best to post those affordable hospitals here without making it look like advert.
Ps:Na help i dey help oo,those who know me and have read my past posts know where i had my last baby..I have also paid more than 12k for delivery before stumbling on this NL so i don't have business with advert. Nobody should assault my pm oooo.. Just tell me how best to put it out here for public consumption.
I know you are trying to help but at the same time you are not helping by posting details of those 'affordable' hospitals here because:

1. Agents monitoring this thread will take undue advantage of such info and within weeks those hospitals will be 'non affordable' as they will be bombarded with request.

2. People need to make their own findings and discover more hospitals rather than recycling few that has been mentioned here already.

3. Hospitals who charged thousands of $$$$ also need to pay to advertise here just as others are doing.

4. All the info one need to find new hospitals are here already and if you can afford to spend thousands of $$$ to give birth in US but too lazy to do some reading and research then you are not ready yet.

So basically ..please don't paste details of those hospitals here

even the dullard president went to abroad and told the whole world that his country men are corrupt ,so what do u expect from the international community all these coupled with the fact that many Nigerians are also involved in one crime or the other abroad. What the use is trying to do is to limit the number of Nigerians living in their country by making it extremely difficult for them.
The truth is bitter.

I am trying to bring my dependent ( Nigerian fiancé and soon to be husband) to the UK. I am American and I have a tier 4 visa lasting 5 years plus sponsorship. My bf and I have been dating for some years now and we have decided to do a ceremony at the end of 2016. We met while we were in the UK years back. The problem is he overstayed in the UK because he thought he could find a job through sponsorship but that was a fail.

I was wondering will he be denied to be my dependent if he apply two months after the wedding. It wouldn't have been a year since he has left the UK. We have the money to show the 9X 850.
Most likely because of overstaying his student visa, I'm guessing he overstayed for more than 28days?

Hello All,
Many thanks for the information and assistance here, please I need some help here.
Planning to apply for Tier4 visa for myself, wife and daughter to the UK for my PhD.
When filling the form on the visa application website and the tls in Lagos website, is the filling gonna be done separately for the three of us or it can be filled together as one application.
Any further information and guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers
Have a look at the last page of the application form and if there is no button like...add additional applicant or something related then you have to make separate application
