Dreamwaker: It will be harder for them to get visa from another country and if they went ahead and applied for visa in another country then that's their business. Yes, other genuine travelers will be denied the opportunity to travel there, who travels to Indonesia for holidays anyway? I take that as a joke. |

ajirapsy: Thanks. I agree this is the logical thing to do.
I'm just wondering if it's possible for a BRP card to be processed in 2 months after submitting biometrics. It took a month after submitting an application before biometric was taken and they would only return our marriage certificate after the brp card has been issued. From recent experience the answer is Yes and No, yes because I have seen people who got it within 2months and No because mine came out after 12weeks though I was contacted after 12th weeks to submit additional document that delayed my application for another 4 weeks. |

fakmurphy: @Justwise thanks for d great job you are doing here, please i need your help again i do not have 300 pounds to dash UK. Like i have asked you earlier before my company was registered in NOV.2015 and fully commenced business in dec. On the TCC which was issued to us in feb 2016 was written NIL (That is we didnt pay anything) it expiry date is 31/12/2016 as written on the TCC.When I asked, FIRS said its after 31/12/2016 that we are due to prepare account because any new firm is given up to 18 months (After 1yr ) from inception to prepare such. Is it advisable to use this? We have been remitting our monthly VAT per month though. Then you need to explain that in your application form and attach paper evidence to support that. |

Japanboy: Thanks justwish, so since I dont have it now, what's your advice. Can I get a letter from the bank explaining that I'm the sole signatory to the account and that I have access to the funds in the account or do u suggest I leave it for now and get the tax things in place first then reapply at a later date. Thanks brov, God bless It will be better to get it before making the next application because I don't think a letter from the bank alone will do. You can still apply without it if you feel strongly about it. |

kayaj1014: Dear fellow members, I have received an employment offer in the UK, but before i will be given the job I have received an invitation letter from the company inviting me to the UK to complete some assessments. In the letter I was told I must be ready to pay for my travel, accommodation in the UK for the period of the assessment process till I'm given the job. I have an uncle in the UK who is willing to sponsor me fully when I get to the UK and is willing to give me all the needed documents for the visa application. It's now left with my ticket fee and my question is can my mother write a cheque covering my ticket fees and is it ok if I add the cheque to my visa documents. Since I'm unemployed at the moment I don't have any personal financial documents to add and I'm 28 years. Pls I need some help thanks Before you commit your money to the visa applications you need to verify the company first because I have a funny feeling about the offer. |

MrsDaniels: @Justwise and @olowob pls justwise said i shud print both the day i deposit my tuition and maintainance money in acc for 28 and the day i am going to print my balance i shud print the oanda exchange rate. Pls what if the rate has fluctuated by d end of 28days? And @justwise pls explain more why u said i shud print the last day oanda rate too. We have argued this far too many times here before but surprisingly people still ask the same question. Since I started contributing here..getting to 7 years now I haven't seen a single person who was refused because of exchange rate fluctuations. You can't control the market and you can't keep topping up and restarting counting the 28days. The important thing here is to pay the required amount from day one and start counting then print the oanda rate of the day you deposited the amount and the printed the bank statement for submission. |

Dreamwaker: With the execution of four inmates in Indonesia, three of which were Nigerians, our brothers and one Indonesian, their brother. It goes to show they mean business. There are more people on death row and many others going on death row daily. It's ridiculous.
If people all over the world stop going to Indonesia, I think that will reduce the people on death row in that country and it should start from us.
We don't need an Indonesian embassy in Nigeria. They need us, Nigerian indomie is one of the highest selling noodles in the world, they need us. How can they be killing our citizens anyhow. If they can get a visa to Indonesia, they will not go there to carry drugs.
Federal government should please close down the Indonesian embassy and save us from more deaths. It's in the best interest of our citizens. They will not stop trying to carry drugs to that country unless they can't get visa to Indonesia any more. Rubbish! First of all they are not my brother and I have no sympathy for them. I totally support Indonesian govt action and I hope they execute more of those criminals. Federal government should not waste their time and money fighting for any of those criminals, if they can't stop carrying drug to that country then you know what? They will get it |

mya1: Hi Justwise, could you please provide more information about the emboldened ? I'm British and my fiancé resides in an EU country but I don't work /intend working in the EU country so can't exploit the surinder singh route.
Anticipating your reply. Thanks. Since you don't want to move to any EU country to work for few months then invite your hubby alternative is for him to get admission and move there, however..you need to search for an EU country with affordable school fees AND less strict marriage law. Czech Republic is known for its friendly marriage law, read up on that there are a lot of info about the process. He getting an admission in any Schengen country will even help in terms of visiting each other as it cost pretty close to nothing. |

ajirapsy: Thank you for your advice. However, you didn't comment on the marriage certificate.
Do you think it is advisable to apply with a photocopy of our marriage certificate and state in our cover letter that the original marriage certificate was submitted as a supporting document for her BRP application and give them the reference number for confirmation? Not a good idea at all. Wait until you get all supporting documents back to avoid delaying your spouse visa processing time. |

ajirapsy: Hello Good People of this thread,
I have an issue that i feel i should seek the opinions of others for:
We are planning to apply for the Spouse Visa in September, but we have an issue on our hands. My wife's Nigerian Passport expired in June but she submitted an application for BRP the same month, just before the expiration date. And she did the biometrics a few days ago. She has ILR by the way.
The issue now is she needed to submit our marriage certificate, as part of the supporting documents, for proof of adding my surname to hers. What i'm not so convinced about is can we still go ahead with the spouse visa application in Sept., given that it is not likely they would have finished processing the BRP and return the supporting documents by Sept.? I have read online it could take up to 6 months and damn, we don't have the luxury of time.
She suggests that we state the reference number for her BRP application in our cover letter for the Spouse visa. They should be able to verify our claim.
Please what do you think? The passport will be out before Sept surely even if it delays that long(which i doubt) wait until you get the new passport before applying, you don't apply for visa with expired passport not even one with less than 6 months validity left on it |

Japanboy: Well, in Japan, I pay 8% tax on items bought. And after biz and all when I get back, I pay my yearly profit tax sort of. Do I still have to pay tax here. I'll go to their offi ce here and find out, I'd love to pay it, even though it means double paying.
The embassy did not mention anything about tax, rather a link between me and my accounts. On my BL it has my companies name and my name as the shipper and receiver. Do u think this is something I can explain to them with clearer details or just take my time to start all over again. Do u know of any professional that I can consult for this in person? Can i consult you? pls hook a brother up. Thanks. God bless Tax certificate gives your business some credibility, it shows whether the money in your company's account is net or gross profit. Its an indication of how your business is doing. |

adeyemi55: So a lady that isn't married with no dependents and earns 80k as salary cannot afford to travel even doing some business by the side. She can afford to travel but the UK and other western countries is out of reach for her. To afford a holiday to the UK she must have saved ALL her salaries for at least 4months to pay for visa feee, ticket, accommodation and feeding in the UK. That will leave her with nothing left in Nigeria to fall back at when she comes back. So the questions is..what is the point of spending all your savings in a week? |

adeyemi55: Good afternoon everyone,I need advice on this issue tho,I got my refusal letter yesterday and it was a bit painful, but I guess it was an eye opener for me. This is how it goes,I have been to UK before now,but the last time I travelled was 11 years ago,so o decided to apply again to visit my family(cousins) and to enjoy my leave as least.I work with my mum,she sells fabrics in Lagos and I kind of manage her business and she does as herself, my salary is not fixed because I run the business with her,she sells lace,I del Ankara in the same shop,so I filled in my application stating I'm the store manager in the shop and am hand paid a salary of 80k and also she will be supporting me on this trip because am still a dependent of her. Then they stated their reasons saying I have some credit transactions in my account which can't be traced, and they are not sure I will be able to fund myself,it's a personal account where I make transfers from my other bank to d account I submitted and also people send in money into that same account..pls help I'm loosing it..I need help As an adult if you can't afford to pay your own cost of foreign holiday then you don't qualify to be issued a visa and you don't have a strong tie to your home country. 80K salary can't pay your visa application fees let a lone flight ticket. |

Someone told me document from my sponsor have a validity of 10 days. Meaning I can only use the letter of sponsorship and bank statement within 10 days of issue. How true is this? This case has been reviewed by the police and the accused discharged because they couldn't ascertain if she stole under the influence of charms or not. Out of your curiosity u requested to meet her which she declined due to her personal reasons. From what you made us understand, the money belongs to your husband and since he is not pushing it why not let go? If it were armed robbers that came to your house you will willingly handover the cash and still go for Thanksgiving in church for sparing your life. You have done an irreparable damage to this girl's personality and this could haunt her forever. Going to publish her details all over the internet is overboard. The internet never forgets.
