APFM: @Justwise
I really commend your efforts replying pple on this forum but i want to ask knowing the facts that you have answered me earlier on the short course i intend doing in UK by April.
I want to know if it is advisable to pay all fees related to my course before applying for my studies because most of my funds are tied in UK and i wouldn't want to send the money to Nigeria, apply for visa and send it back.
In short,i have all the fees in UK and i intend paying so that the school can issue me receipts, then i can apply for my school as you said by january or February.
Pls what is your take? Where are you at the moment? |

OGreene: Wow! When I checked Premier Inn, rates were like £60 - £80. I really wish I got lower rates Price differs from day to day and weekends are always expensive, you hardly get knock-down price in London |

ToyinNick: Thanks so much. Please do you know the address I'm meant to send the documents to in Sheffield? Also do you have their contact number? Hoping to hear from you soon
1. 6 months payslip will do.
2. For spouse visa application the money comes from you as his sponsor, his earnings will not be needed, you need to proof that you are earning £18600 a year.
3. You submit not only phone call history but whatsapp, Facebook, Skype , emails...all means of communication both of you have ever used.
4. No need for a lawyer but if you have money to throw around then feel free to get one.
5. British passport
6. Your list of documents are good but yellow fever and letter of invitation are not needed, you need to add more pictures...wedding pics, pictures of both of you together before marriage, if you have ever sent him money or gift add the evidence. Its the same address you have but remember that you need to submit the completed form and TB result first at visa center in Nigeria and ask them things you need to be sending to Sheffield because your sponsor will be sending the main documents to Sheffield from the UK. |

As you all know the VO is gone and as a result I will be locking this thread soon and when the new VO comes another thread will be started.
Sorry I know it's not good news but because of the title of this thread I don't want any other person apart from the VO to start answering questions here.
Thank you. |

Has hubby will be applying for settlemnt visa for us by january 2016...what are the chances of me getting a visa? Does settlent visa overrules a ban? Yes it does..however, that does not mean that you will be given a visa at first application, chances are that you will be refused and given on appeal. First you need to meet the requirements and be honest in your application. |

utijerry: thank you sir for your response, the dye is cast and we must move on, i also wish to ask if there is anything you advice/recommend we add to the application since he has been refused once, we have the following for our submission 1. CAS
2. Documents listed our CAS
2a. SELT
3. TB test result
4. Evidence of School fees + Accommodation fully paid for
(a) Maintenance in Dad's account for more than 28 days
5. Birth certificate
6. Statement of result () WAEC
7. Health Insurance
Is there any thing else we should add that we are missing? You don't need Health Insurance and no need to pay for accommodation in full, only deposit of about £1000 + is needed. |

and we will be using our dads personal account that has more than enough funds in it for 28 days for sponsorship. the thing is that his sch deadline for resumption is October 12, we have been adviced to use priory in other to get his visa on time, will this work if we apply on Oct 2?

gentlii: Hi justwise, we are relocating from nigeria.
We are considering very cool and friendly environment to raise children and intermingle. Nearness to good higher institution will be an added advantage. Thank u so much. Bless u. You really need to visit the UK first with your family and visit cities outside London....Manchester, Birmingham, Portsmouth etc... Each of these places has its own ghetto-ish area that is why you need to visit first to make your own judgment, as a single person my preferences may not match that of a family man with a different set values. If you haven't lived or visited the UK before it may be a cultural shock to the kids hence the need to visit first. |

Where do u think is ok for a family relocating to UK apart from london. Everything like low housing, work and the rest all considered.
Thank u all in advance. Are you relocating from another EU country, America or Africa? |

nikiihardehx: hello house I have another question........ ma dad decided I should apply for extension on my visa and attach a copy o my ticket....in order to avoid issues at POE....since its almost expired and aint travelling wif mum as stated in my application.....my question is....how long does extension/ renewal takes? and do you think I have a better chance? You can't extend visiting visa, you either apply again now or wait until the current one expires then you apply and explain why the previous one wasn't used |
