quebrada: Hello Justwise, A friend of mine overstayed in the Uk for 7 years and during his stay here he had a son with a uk national. It's been three years since he voluntarily moved back to the south america as he hold a passport that doesn't need a visa to the UK. Now he's planning to come back to the UK to visit his son, will he have any problem entering? His child is a uk national as well and bear his surname. Thank you!!! How then did he overstayed if he doesn't need a visa to visit the UK? Is he really from South Africa and holding genuine passport? |

Davdar: Hello Justwise
I need advice on a visa refusal. My husband got his passport today and he is been refused on the following grounds: We first met on 10/04/2012 and started the relationship in August 2012 and got married on 06/08/2014 We used calling cards as evidence of communication but the calling cards have no names and they aware that cards are readily available in Ghana to purchase as second hand. There is no itemised telephone records so they not satisfied. The photographs provided are of our wedding day with a few on different occasions. However it appears that these photographs were all taken during the same visit by your sponsor. So therefore am not satisfied. Furthermore there is no evidence that your sponsor has been to visit you after the marriage on August 2014. Am not satisfied that your relationship is genuine and subsisting or that you intend to live together permanently in the UK.
Those are the reasons. Please advice me on what to do? Should I do the appeal or what? And If I do, and add extra supporting documents as I went to Ghana last month as a prove, do we have a chance ? Do I need to get a lawyer? Any suggestions on the platform will be appreciated. Thank you Did you add email exchange, whatsapp, Facebook messages etc to your application? Have you ever sent money, gift etc to her since you met and got married? |

Family › Re: He Said NO To A Quiet Wedding!!! by justwise(m): 9:48am On Oct 09, 2015 |
shugga: Hello house I need your views on this please.
There's a young man have been seeing, getting to 3months now. Recently we got talking deep and I realise he wants something serious, along the line I discover we have different views about certain issues, he tends to be the typical traditional man that just follow the norms of life without having a cogent reason for doing so, I mean all those click that follow the trend.
For instance we got talking about the kind of marriage ceremony to be considered, he told me he wants an elaborate wedding the kind the guests will go back and reminisce, that even if it means him borrowing to achieve that he doesn't mind.
This is someone working as a credit officer in a micro finance bank oh with slightly above 50k pay. Me on the other hand would prefer a quiet wedding something like an indoor tm and a court/church wedding, he was like then I'm not his kinda woman.
I went ahead to explain to him the risk of having a marriage above your means but he wasn't ready to buy into such. I personally want don't want an elaborate wedding cos through out my hard times have discovered that no one in this life cares for real, they only care when they have one thing or the order to gain from you even the immediate family isn't exempted.
When I was working friends and family flocked around and I was fooled to be believe they care not knowing it was cos I had what they wanted and I'm this type that I can't harden my heart towards people suffering, I can even sacrifice my last kobo for someone in need. These days my phone hardly rings and even those that say hi on whatsapp go religious and end the chat a moment they realise you're still jobless.
So of what gain should I entertain people that don't care if I breathe or not, even if my man has the means I will prefer he invest it or we use the money to enjoy life to the fullest.
I don't just like it when people do things just cos everyone else is doing them, I must have my reasons before doing a particular thing, that's me!!!
So dear Family is my reason for wanting a quiet wedding flimsy? Perfectly good reason. He can move on. |

gentlestrides: Goodday All... The house seems very dry these days, it looks like all September students have all left. Well, let me encourage someone here today and at the same time share my Testimony. I applied for a Tier 4 in August and was refused, after getting all 40points for PBS. The ECO refused my entry clearance based on his own judgements that: 1. I didn't know my travel cost from Nigeria to UK 2. I didn't explain my academic gap after leaving school for sometime 3. I had no living arrangements 4. I didn't show my personal financial status(I am a sponsored student ooooo). All these reasons were given even after stating all of these during the credibility interview and even some questions I wasn't asked, I was been given denial reasons for not been a genuine student.
Well, my school refused to issue me another CAS, so I had to go for an administrative review, which I did-with the wisdom of God enabling to counter their reasons and giving a good "representation" according to them.
23 days after, I got an email that my Administrative review decision had been overturned and was successful that I should send my passport to the VAC where I applied for onward submission to Sheffield before my last Enrolment date which is 12th. However, my school had moved last Enrolment date to 19th.
My people, God is real oooo... Throughout this period, I have prayed and trusted God like never before.
I submitted my passport on the 2nd but am yet to get any update or email for collection. I sent an email to the Sheffield office this morning, no response.
Bros @justwise @scoobs...Please any idea on how I should go about the collection or when am likely to get it so I can carry my bags and go... Lol Contact the embassy to remind them of your resubmission date and I also keep emailing Sheffield |

£35,000 per annum is well above the poverty level and this is why theresa may wants only the rich immigrants in the UK. what percentage of the people living in the UK earns £35,000 per annum? i doubt it's more than 20%.
what has this gotta do with your outlandish remark that £35,000 per annum is living from pay check to pay check. the median annual gross wage in inner london is even less than £35,000......and that's central london where the highest wages are paid in the entire UK. the median gross wage of the entire UK is only £22,000. so how can £35k be considered living from pay check to pay check when the breadline(poverty line) is £22k?
https://www.cityam.com/sites/default/files/sites/default/files/content-editors/images/u41686/Top-10-by-median-annual-gross-wage-Media_chartbuilder.png
is this one of your theories that you pulled out of the rectum of a baboon? i guess mike adenuga isn't among the first 2 million richest nigerians then according to your obtuse analysis.
this is irrelevant to your point. you are actually making my point with that. UK immigration is technically telling you there that only the rich migrants who can contribute to their economy would be immune from immigration control. if you earn £35k in the UK, you are rich! Average salary for a teacher in inner London is £37,400 a year, a head teacher could earn over £100,000 a year, starting salary for teachers is at least £22,244 – or £27,819 a year, just to put things in perceptive https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/why-teach/competitive-salary-and-great-benefitsI'm sure that teachers in Nigeria earn that much or even higher.. |

Winso26: Hello everyone, Urgent advise needed. When I made my initial application we employed the services of a lawyer, but when the application was refused due to the mistake on the part of the lawyer, and that he was only interested in the fees. He initial charge us £900 which was fully paid. So when my wife and I decided to do the appeal on our own, surprisely we got another instruction to pay another £300, that he has logged an appeal for us. That's was when our problems started, we immediately told him to dis-logged whatever he has logged, he refused. My wife and I went ahead with our own well planned appeal as my wife the non-legal representative and to the glory of God, the appeal was allowed. The problem is now, I've written to the Sheffield office to tell them of the severed relationship with the lawyer but surprisely we received an email from the lawyer yesterday the following messages:
''Please make arrangements to attend our Watford Office to collect the latest correspondence from the Home Office regarding your husband’s entry clearance. Please contact me to arrange an appointment.''
I have been waiting for them to tell me to send in my passport because I got my promulgation since 31/07/2015. How do I handle this situation now. Do I have right to demand that message? Please, good advice. Winso26 Since the lawyer did not represent you in court and was told not to then go to his office to collect your package and pay him nothing. You will not be forced to pay for service you did not use. If he refuses get the police involved immediately |

He went for interview but am in UK but wasn't called for interview is it a normal process? Is 3 months now and he got email on Friday saying a decision has been made with VAF as reference number? Does it mean granted or refused and also I just recieved the documents I sent to them back yesterday and all the documents he submitted in Ghana has all been sent to me. Is that normal? Am really confused and worried. Any advice or has anyone here had some experience and what was the outcome. Thank you You don't have to be called for an interview, sometimes they decide to interview just one partner. Email with Ref means nothing...does not mean refusal or issued. Yes they do send back all documents submitted and then contact you later for the actual decision so wait until you hear from them but it will be too long |

He first came as a student in 2010, and then a post study visa and is now on a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa which runs until 2017.
His question is, after this visa expires, which options has he got to remain in the UK aside from renewing this visa or getting married. He runs his own business but not to the extent in which the 2nd stage entrepreneur visa requirements for the renewal.
He just wants to be able to stay here, since he has built up a life and business, however wants to remain legitimately on his own back.
kind regards and any advice is greatly appreciated.
Karen If I were him I will do everything legally within the law to stay on the current visa category because that is the shortest way of getting ILR in the UK and he just 2 years to achieve that. Just one renewer he will be eligible for indefinite stay. Switching to other visa type now will not help him that much |

ToyinNick: Hello house,
Please I need an advise. I sent my documents to Sheffield, that's after the form and TB, have been taken in Nigeria. I sent it to S3 8WA, but so far I have been receiving mails on this thread that docs are sent to Vulcan house S3 8NU, which is just 11mins walk from each other. I would like to clarify which is right btw S3 8WA and S3 8NU.
Secondly, I sent the documents on the 26th September, which was on Saturday, and was received on Monday and signed by a guy called Mckenzie (thats after I tracked it with the royal mail I used to send the document - Special delivery service), I was just wondering that since I posted it to S3 8WA, I have not received any email to let me know that it's been received (except for royal mail tracking). I would just want to now how long it takes to receive an email that it's been received, or will I not receive any email until a decision have been made?
In a nutshell 1. I want to know the right postcode if it is S3 8WA (Where I sent it to), or Vulcan House S3 8NU 2. I want to know when I should be able to receive an email. I am panicking cos I dunno if they were able to receive it in the first place.
Please I would appreciate lots of responses in regards to this issue. God bless in advance Hoping to hear from you soon.
