larrytoks: Pls I need advice on how to resolve this problem. My hubby, son and myself intend to travel to the UK for our next vacation and we already created an application but we didn't realize we had to have 3 separate applications for the 3 of us and we only found out when we got to teleperformance today for the appointment we booked in my husband's name. Now we have to go back and create 2 more applications for my self and my son but the problem is getting a new appointment date for my husband so that we can all go together for the biometrics, there's no provision for updating the appointment on his application because we already made payment. If we create a new application for him as well, what happens to the payment we already made? Any ideas on how we can resolve this? Why creating another application for him again if you have done that before? |

beibybookie: Hi, this might be the silliest question asked on here but bare with me,
I haven't received an email informing me my passport is ready for collection but on the Teleperformance website it states its ready for collection.
Does it mean I've been refused? everyone I know gets an email. You can visit their office to know if it's ready. |

Trk2013: Hello. I have a quick question. I renewed my US visa last year for vacation purposes which I have since embarked on and returned. However during the interview I remembrr the VO asking if I was going for baby shopping and I said no since I wasn't planning to. I have since decided to have my baby in the states and I sent an email to them informing them of my plans as advised here. I got a call earlier today from the consulate requesting I come for a chat. What do you guys think? Do I go prepared with documentation or why would they need to see me? The visa is B1/B2, I am also not based in Nigeria. That is why they want to have a chat with you, go prepare with all your documents regarding baby delivery. |

tobitee: Thanks a lot sir, I appreciate your quick responses. Actually I have started reading this page from the beginning and on page 30 or thereabout now. Although I have learnt a lot to aid a successful application. We haven't really concluded our list. Below are what I think we need. Pls correct where necessary. My husband's personal act( he's the one sponsoring the trip) His company act Birth certificate Company certificate of incorporation 9. Company past letters of contract awards. Marriage certificate Family pictures Evidence of land My own business registration papers and tax Our nysc certificates Evidence of cars Letter of permission from d kids school Hotel reservation Airline booking I guess that's all we gathered. Addition or subtraction will be welcomed. Another important question: presently we are filling the online form for my husband in which he has included the three of us to accompany him. Is that all we need or we have to apply separately as 4 individuals. Tax certificate is missing in your list. If your kids have their own passports then you need to make separate application for each. |

yemixxxxxx: Been working for more than 2years, october makes it 3years..dats d only job have been since graduation.. Getting a visa will be difficult because of your salary, the trip will cost you more than 3months of your salary and that is not good. Though you have about 700K in your savings but that takes your about 3yrs to save. That said...you can still give it a go, who knows it may work out. |

BABABABA: CASE STUDY
I am a permanent UK resident. I have three kids living in Nigeria. My annual income is around £17,000. Unfortunately because I did not meet the minimum income threshold I have decided not to apply for settlement visa for the Kids . I have visited the kids twelve times in the last 6 years and on each visit I will spend at least one month with them. My employer are not happy at the frequency at which I take time off work. I stand the chance of losing my job if this should continue. At the moment am looking for a second job so that I cant meet up with the minimum income threshold because I want the kids to live with me here in the UK . In the meantime ,before I get another job , I am thinking of inviting the kids to visit me during the school long vacation which are normally between Mid-july until Mid-September. I think if the kids can visit me atleast once in year until am able to bring them on settlement visa I can still keep my job safe. I have all the documentation to prove that I can accommodate them without recourse to public fund while they are on holiday . In my layman opinion , they qualify for Visiting visa . Pls enlighten me if am wrong.
ADVICE NEEDED;
Is it against immigration rule that the children who are meant to be applying for settlement decided to apply for another visa category. Is there Any body with a similar experience , pls share it with me and what do you think are the chances of the kids getting the visiting visa How old are your kids? |

I can bear to live with him if he turns alcoholic, if he is stingy and prefers to keep his money to himself alone. phaara: what does it mean :-/ When you get to the tribunal centre early you will see your name and time of your hearing placed on the door of your courtroom, but they don't usually follow that order as you may be called earlier than stated because some may cancel their court date or come late, so that means if you are there they will call you to come in for your case. |

tbaby2015: Thank you so much. However, does the passport number on the application and the one we present at te embassy have to be the same or it's not a problem since we'll be going with both the old and the new passports, that is, after it has been renewed? They have to be the same, go with both old and new passport. |

kolawolead: I'm quite pleased I have learnt some thing! That saying "hook line and sinker" never meant more than a saying to me...but eh, it means a lot more now lol thanks BossLAdyMo! For other curious minds like mine - "It has its roots in fishing lingo, referring to a fish having fallen for the bait easily; swallowing the hook, the fishing line, and the sinker along with it."
My tuppenceworth regarding level of unemployment in Australia is this - As mentioned in many earlier posts, there is no such place where fortune is freestyle. That said, there are enough opportunities in advanced countries - provided you are focus minded and you enjoy the grace of the almighty God. Those that gets caught up in unemployment issues (whether black or white) are those with lackadaisical attitude towards life - these kinda people will struggle even if they migrate to the paradise.
The OP on unemployment rate has merely expressed his views through an acutely short-sighted lens - and my advise to him will be to start to see beyond his nose. To all aspiring to travel to Australia, I have heard good stories about people living there - it is apparently on of the best places to live in the world. However, more than anything focus is a fundamental requirement in any where we find ourselves. With the GRACE of God, things often seem effortless. I'm sorry but you are ignorant....you know very little about life outside Nigeria. |
