mutter: When you have nothing to live for, then you have everything to die for!
The fact that it keeps happening shows that the men are not all suddenly going mad.
A man that had worked so hard brought his much younger wife here to Germany, when they come to church the wife was so rude to the man, perhaps because she was better educated. I quickly grabbed hold of her and drew her aside. I warned her that her husband was respected in this community and if she ever tried it again where I was I would shred her to bits. Foolish girl!
These greedy bitches accept a man they do not love and are ashamed of just to get out of Nigeria and then they want to ruin the man. Do you know that these men have worked so hard for so many years! Received all kinds of insults from society and then you bring this young girl and she gives you the final insult to let you know you are = 0. How many of them come here with nothing and soon the man is out of his own home on the streets and having to pay maintenance. When the study in America, they are able to do so because the man brought them there. Nursing is not even a good paying job, like any menial job you can gather money if you work enough hours. While they are at work they cannot perform as wife`s so of what use is the work if it does not benefit the family?
No matter how educated or how much money they have a woman must humble herself and treat her husband with the utmost respect in all situations. That is not just good for the man but also for the children. The children are raised in an environment where the learn respect and manners. That is what you get when a man that has struggled for years gets dragged into the mud in his own home. A man that has struggled and faced discrimination and abuse outside. Treat him like a king at home so that he can feel like the man he is, that will give him the strength to keep struggling. Instead these women get rude, function like they don`t have a family, neglect the welfare of their husbands and homes and go running after the dollars. Some serious truth. |

This is the moment a sham marriage bride is handcuffed minutes before her wedding ceremony after a suspicious registrar told investigators the 'couple' couldn't spell each other's names.
Nigerian Joseph Iwueke, 33, was due to marry Slovakian Ingrida Stojkova, 29, in Leeds last July so he could stay in Britain.
But they were arrested moments before their fake wedding was due to start after officials at a pre-marriage meeting noticed the groom reading details about his supposed bride from the back of his hand.
Iwueke, Stojkova and two others have now been jailed for conspiracy to facilitate a breach of UK immigration law.
Leeds Crown Court heard that authorities had been tipped off by a registrar who became suspicious when the pair attended the register office a month earlier and were unable to spell each other's names.
Two other men - Obinna Odelugo, 49, and Robert Stojka - were also arrested at the ceremony and found in possession of bundles of cash.
They were described as the 'fixers' who arranged the fake wedding for financial gain.
Odelugo ran from the ceremony room in West Yorkshire but was found hiding in a toilet cubicle http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2937638/Moment-sham-marriage-couple-arrested-minutes-wedding.htmlPix description : 1 Iwueke was jailed for two years 2 Odelugo was given a two-year, three-month sentence 3 Slovakian Ingrida Stojkova is handcuffed as she waits for her Nigerian husband-to-be to arrive ahead of their planned sham marriage in Leeds last summer. She has now been jailed 4 When questioned, Nigerian Joseph Iwueke knew almost nothing about his wife-to-be. A court heard he organised the fake wedding so he could stay in the UK

dalobaba: Hello @justwise. Thanks for your last response. My aunty is thinking of calling or writing the British high commission about my mum's application. She wants to ask them why it's taking too long and wants to also use that opportunity to let them know she has been the one always inviting her and also the sponsor (so far they said they are doing some standard checks on the application). Remember, she applied for a 5 year visit visa. Do you think this is a good move? Hope to read from you. Thanks always Sure she can, nothing wrong with that, its actually a good idea. |

Gospel367: Happy sunday to you all including the MODS. I have something I want clarified of. Which universities do you think is the best especially for undergraduate programs. Canadian unis or US unis? Is studying america better than studying in canada in terms of academic flexibility, toughness of academic curriculum, available opportunities, individual development, value and quality of education etc. Please dont judge based on the online or offline rankings whatsoever. Rankings does not matter but compatibility matters more. Note: I am not asking this for myself or because I have intentions of studying in either location. But i am asking this for knowledge and information sake and so that this thread will serve as a guide to people or students in between opinions on where to study. Most importantly, put getting visa easily into consideration in each case. Please, mod, move to front page if possible. Classicalmusic: @Justwise, how're you doing? Is previous travel history important for someone who is applying for UK Visa? Also, how's the invitation letter gonna be? She wants to apply for UK General Visitor Visa and the company she works would take care of her bill but her friend in the UK would send the invitation letter. Is this okay? Does she have any chance in terms of procuring the visa? No serious company pays for such holiday, company will not pay for your holiday, you pay with your holiday allowance. Saying that her boss or company will pay will cast doubt to her application. |

Amother4life: Hello Ladies, I'm brand new to the site. I wish i had come across this forum before travelling. Anyways, all went well with delivery in Houston Methodist Sugar land. Dr Zee was outstanding. I know there are rules pertaining to how information is shared so i will tread carefully as i familiarize myself with the forum. One thing is clear i will share information to assist all the genuine prospective mothers out there. POE at IAH was smooth and CBP guy just asked me if i carried cash or food items. I answered in the affirmative because i had already declared in the forms provided. I wasn't taken to secondary or anything like that. I had also made prior arrangement with a naija family that accommodates people through referrals. They picked me from the airport and also took me for some appointments. It helps to be around familiar people especially for those of us who traveled alone. I could not have picked a better place to stay . Anybody who is interested can PM me for details. They are a few minutes from oak bend from what i was told. I am now waiting to get my son's visa from naija embassy in ATL. I paid for expedited service with a self addressed envelope. I didn't want to start travelling to ATL with the weather people painting scary pictures everyday. Hopefully is they keep to their claim of processing within 3 business days we should be getting the passport back by weekend. BC was easy to get at Fort Bend County with the help of my host. We then went down town to get the passport. They have expedited service too. Anyways, i just thought i'd share my experience with others. P/S When getting the BC remember to request for 2 additional certified copies. Each child is entitled to ten in a life time oh . So, keep it safe. 1. The reason is simple: You will need a copy to apply for your baby's passport. 2. That copy is not returned in the same envelope with the baby's passport. It is sent several days later in a first class envelope which means if you only got one BC you will not be able to apply for the baby's naija passport or visa (depending on what you want) until you receive the BC back. This takes about 5-7 business days. People on a budget know what that amounts to. This is done for security reasons in case the US passport gets missing. The Naija Embassy will return everything in one envelope though. Let me go back and attend to my son... |

tobitee: Hello house! Please I also need help from you guys. My husband and I together with our kids want to apply for a UK tourist visa. We are planning to travel this February. My husband is the sole breadwinner of our family. He has a registered company with which he does supplies with a solid bank account that has good inflow of cash and still has a substantial amount to sponsor the trip. I also do have a registered business with evident of tax, receipts of goods I buy but I mostly deal with cash and I don't have much in my account. If I may add we went to dubai for 2 weeks to spend this last xmas and new year as a family( we have 2 kids a 1 year and 3 years); that was our 1st time. My question is how do we go about applying. What documents should we present and how do we present them to guarantee our success. My concern is that it is not a holiday period as both our kids are in school, nursery and creche. Is it going to affect us? But I heard schools will be given 2 weeks break for d election can we mention that? Thanks in anticipation Do you and your husband have separate account apart from the business one? Pay tax from on the business? |
