dayo1401: Hello house please I need your advise, my wife is final year student in Nigeria and currently 4months pregnant.
she intends to give birth in USA and will be applying from Naija stating she is studying and I ve a business in Nigeria as a business man. She has N5M in her account in Zenith so I believe cash shouldn't be a problem.
She intends to submit a original letter from the university stating she is a student and her school ID card. And if they ask that who is the sponsor she will say her husband who is based in Nigeria working as a business man. ( She has the original copy of my registered business in Nigeria)
Please note; the reason we don't want to state that i am based in the UK is because we believe she might be asked why doesn't she want to give birth in the uk. For this reason, we had to get a new passport so her UK spouse visa is not on her passport when she applies.
Please house, I need your humble visa on our plan. I have not really heard about students travelling to give birth but usually working people. Make una advise please. What do you think of our plans? Hmmmm...why have you decided to make things difficult for your wife? There is no need at all getting a new passport or hiding the spouse visa. She can decide to give birth in any country because she is paying for it, its not free. Spouse visa would have even increased her chances....Nigerians..smh |

shevon: The Yoruba people have an adage, 'Agba a gbo t'enikan da ejo, agba oshika ni' - meaning: One does not judge an issue based on a one sided argument/story (Forgive my written Yoruba, na Igbo boy I be) That being said, i feel this issue will be appropriately addessed with the other side if the story (from Madam) is heard. Be that as it may, the Yoruba's also have an adage, 'Owo omode o'to kpekpe, ti agba o wo akeregbe' - meaning: there are certain expectations from a child which an elderly person should not engage in and vice versa. Ti omode ba n se bi omode, agba a fi agba han. In my own opinion, I feel you let it gets this far. Patience is a virtue. I used to have issues with my wife when we were dating, issues that almost cost us our relationship. But i have come to realize one thing, respect and mutual understanding is reciprocal in such relationship. You guys are coming from two different background and misunderstandings are definately going to come up, how the issues are trashed out is all up to you as the man of the house. You should have NEVER let an argument or misunderstanding degenerate to a level where you guys start insulting each other, aponle l'ara fe. Besides, gbo gbo ojo t'oba ro ko ni a n gbe, you should learn to let some things go. As a man, your pride should be the last thing to put into play when it comes to your relationship with your wife, set it aside and settle your differences. Then when things are much better and in a more condusive environment, you can call her and tell her that your ego was bruised (not in a quarrelsome manner though) then you will see that she will apologize and try to avoid such future occurrences. I hope you guys sort out your differences and save your marriage. 10 years and 3 kids are worth fighting for. Please, don't let it all be a waste because it will be more painful to loose all those good years and time you've had together. Settled 3yrs ago. disturbedman: Well, I have read every one of the comments here. Let me say thank you to those who have put in constructive contributions. Worth special mentioning is Chaircover and e_prynce. I appreciate all of you guys efforts. As someone said here, there will be many advice but it's up to me to choose what to do. Yes, and I've chosen the right ones. I engaged my wife with an open mind to talk things over. It was difficult at first especially with her exaggerated claims. It's difficult to just look on and listen to those "very trivial" issues from her so there were arguments again in the process. However, I sincerely apologized to her for whatever reasons and she also finally regretted her action and apologized as well. At least I now know that those "trivial" issues are very dear to her! Na wa. @ those who think and conclude that I am a bad man and evil. I don't have any comment for you other than to tell you that YOU ARE WRONG. I now that I am caring, loving and understanding (at least I should be able to assess myself to some degree).I spend time with my family, play all sorts of games with my kids, I don't have any programs not known to my wife and I don't "close late from work because of tight schedule", no social vices as well. So what is fundamentally wrong with me? It's really unfortunate that when you marry a verry loving wife you have to contend with her high expectations of you, just as explained by e_prynce. To those who think that I am a CHEAT, I don't really know what to tell you guys. How you arrived at that conclusion from that mail baffles me. FYI, my wife is also not seeing another man as suggested by some here. I am 100% sure of these two statements. Yes, I still believe that finance plays some part in our squabbling but it was out of necessity we got here. I am still the bread winner of my family in every sense of the word and the question of being jealous of my wife is completely out of it. We got where we are on her insistence on doing certain things with significant financial commitment after she has offered to support out of her own will. To the unmarried ones who think I am not patient enough, I'll say wait till you marry.MArriage is not always what you thought it to be before going in. I am now married for 11.5 years. If you add the 6 years of courtship you'll know that I've been there long enough. I can qualify as a "marriage counselor" in my own right as I have helped settle a few marital issues. Though I am now ready to play the fool more than ever in order to make my marriage work and have peace in my home. Finally, I LOVE MY CHILDREN AND MY WIFE; AND THEY LOVE ME BACK I BELIEVE. JUST THAT I THOUGHT THE MAIL WAS OVER THE LINE. Thanks once again to those valuable contributors. You know yourselves.

DUNIQUE1: Hello everyone, I am so pleased and grateful for the things God has done for me, although it was a difficult time in the whole process because I was already in the Uk for seven and half years before I came back to Nigeria, and it has been 2 years and 10 months I have been here also. I finally got me visa stamped last week and I have picked it up, also done my tb test and I should be leaving anytime soon too. I want to say to everyone going through a hard time that God has a plan for you, up till now I still don't know how to thank my God for what he has done, I still don't believe my passport is in my wardrobe with my visa on it, all in all, please keep praying and don't relent in your effort to join your loved ones. God will bless us all. Thanks so much to everyone who have contributed one way or the other on this forum. @Justwise,@Girlfio etc God will continue blessing you. Congratulations!! |

That been said i'll like to drop my questions and enquiries, i''ll be gratefull if i get some response. I also apologise in advance if i am breaking any protocol. I am a civil servant on level 8 with a salary of about 65k, i'l love to go to the uk to visit let say one week max. I'll like to know the necessary informations and details i'll be needing so as to guide me towards applying. i also have a savings account with about 200k aside. Thank you all and i look forward to you reply soon. Your salary and savings will not help your application, flight cost alone will take almost all your savings and salary. |

rickkid: No it runs on dark matter! What sort of 5tupid question is that? Do you even know what the word "locomotive" means?
You Nigerians just love to confuse yourselves with terms you don't even understand. That's how some of you will be asking "Is the car assembled or manufactured?"
Please stop displaying illiteracy here. The same internet connection you use to post on Nairaland also has www.google.com and if you check it, you'll see that the word "locomotive" is a general rail term for a train engine, be it steam, diesel or whatever. Asking "is it electric or locomotive" is like asking "is it water or cup" - a thoroughly disgraceful and dense question to ask.
No wonder foreigners think Black people are dumb. ..and you are so smart that you can't explain that without insulting Nigerians and all black people? |

lillaowow: transcript from the second video @4:00 THai police "one of the biggest drug dealing gang in bangkok is from Nigeria. don't deny because if you deny and the evidence comes to me.......... Austin is calling" igbo guy "my brother from Nigeria"
Thai police "Nigeria are bringing shame to africa. Nigeria are the curse of africa and from Nigeria who is the biggest curse? igbo people because they are selfish and they are stubborn and they lie so well that is why proper investigation is needed" You don't need to make things up just to keep denying the obvious, he did not say igbo guy...my brother...he said Austin is calling...my brother. Those guys in those two clips are not igbos, ignorant Thai police office does not know Nigerians more than Nigerians, that is not Igbo accent and Igbo man will not start blaming his own tribe for all the crimes committed by Nigerians abroad. Its even laughable that you are acting like the Thai police officer.....blaming all the crimes on Igbos....even when the opposite is obvious. |

it is so obvious Is either you are joking or living in denial, even foreigners can not mistake Igbo accent. Those two are not Igbos and their accents and comments gave that away. |

lillaowow: The Thai police said it himself. He said "it is mostly your ibo brothers, all those that have sat in this chair are ibo". I'm not saying another tribe doesn't commit. Crime but this particular one (drug trafficking) is by a lone tribe. And they all have one thing in common, you do notice everyone on that chair have one thing in common aside from the tribal thing, they are all uneducated. And this is what you get when you allow an Uneducated NIGERIAN (irrespective of tribe) to wander into europe or asia or even south africa. Please don't be ignorant because you don't need to search deep to find stories of other tribes caught with drug. There are two in one of those clips already. |

It will obviously because it will be seen as money lodgement. You need to separate your personal account from the business one, the money for the trip can only come from your personal account but you must justify the source of that money. |

I'm not sure you watched the whole clips...Nigerian crime problem both home and abroad are committed mainly by Igbos and Yorubas, visa scam, romance scam, credit card scam, drug dealing, sham marriage..etc..these two tribes are at it.
