I am only doing my bit to see if our leaders could see some sense and make a real change. Stop blaming the whites for everything, excuse after excuse, Nigerian problem is caused by Nigerians and not White. |

euromilion: 1.With the rate of demand for visas to the USA and EU kept increasing year by year, trillions of dollars are taking out of (Nigeria) Africa economy to these countries. For that reason they'll make sure they kept the demand high.
2.High profiles jobs are created to their people on the expense of immigrants e.g embassy staff, immigration and airline e.t.c.huge taxes are generated on the expense of immigrants.
3.Highly qualified immigrants are taken away from their shore to build and contribute to these nations instead of their own country of origin.
4.The feel good factor, yes I call this the feel good factor, because a lot of less or no skills workers are sometimes in these group of immigrants, they pay them less and treat less better than others, talk less of them on their media.
This strategy is a means to control their stubborn and unqualified citizens, by making them to believe that at least they are better than those(they call them undocumented).
5.To do some of those jobs that no body want do.it's proven that immigrants contribute immensely to the economy of their hosts countries.

Last week we sold a property @Akaa road Uyo for a client and the money i added to the purchase +my commission was close to 17M.What kind of legitimate business can pay you that kind of money in U.K or U.S cos i know that most of us there did not travel for tourism sake. lilmax: tell that to the girls you see in church praying for husbands, well I stand on my opinion the moment they realize it's not about already made men the better for them Yes I do agreed with you that some women go for 'ready made men' but we don't need to pretend to be ready made so as to get married. Let somebody marry you for who you really are. |

lilmax: I wonder what a woman will be doing from the age of 20-30,how can you chase happiness for 10yrs ,there's nothing like manipulation.set your goals right and things will flow No woman should settle for less in the name of marriage. You get married because you are In love with somebody and share things in common, you don't get married because the society wants you to. In Nigeria we make women feel guilty and unwanted because they are not married at our own time and when they got married to a wrong man because of pressure from the society and the marriage ended in disaster we call them 'second-hand' Let's allow people to make their choices at their own time and live with it. |

aariwa: That is for folks who have lost hope of ever succeeding in Nigeria. As for me i pray for my friends over there because i know that life can be tough there with the taxes, multiple jobs, lack of emotional support from relatives, poor weather e.c.t You need to pray for Nigeria and Nigerians rather for somebody who is in a relatively better environment than you. When has it become a wrong thing to pay tax, be able to get more than one job? How wonderful is life in tax-free Nigeria? Not being able to secure one job let a lone two is a good thing in Nigeria? Not everybody depends on emotional support from relatives in Nigeria, many Nigerians abroad are married and emotionally supported. |

eyeview: Whenever the western world want to carry out those their useless survey and they don't have the indices to carry out a proper and objective research, all they do is simply heap the negatives on African countries especially those that have current negative international image like Nigeria. Ironically,in our slave mentality,we believe it. How can a nation that ranks one of the lowest on internet usage, rank lowest in movie distribution, criticized for strict video films regulation, ranked as one of the lowest in electric power supply(to watch the tv) now rank one of the highest in watching indecency and porn. Let's not be allowing these people tag us what we aren't. Always do your research first to avoid embarrassing yourself In a public forum like this. Nigeria is one of the highest Internet users in the world, I mean top 10 http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_Internet_usershttp://www.internetlivestats.com/internet-users-by-country/ |

zeezahbee: its not so early to apply because my roomie graduated last December and her family had gotten their visa like way back in October. The embassy even support you to apply early incase of denial or any processing. So they are free to apply in Feb as long as they have the school IV and yours as well. As for your sister , she shouldn't talk about her pregnancy if she's not asked. Once she get her visa, she could email the embassy telling them about her plans of coming for your graduation and also having her baby, as long as she can foot the hospital bills, she should be fine I'm surprised to read that section from you. The method of emailing the embassy after getting the visa to inform them about your real intention of obtaining that visa has been abused. It's not against the law to give birth in US as long as you can afford it, so it's counterproductive to withhold that info during the interview even if you are not asked. |

kizluv: Planning to give birth in US ko.... doesn't matter. My friend just got her visa and she went to the embassy saying she wanted to have her baby in the states , na dustbin dai inside her account as she isn't even working (got most of her info from me through this thread). Her husband is sponsoring and has good US travel history. Lemme add that she wasn't even asked for her statement, but was asked for the statement of the person sponsoring (her husband )... Of course that makes the difference, he is her husband, so his money is as good as hers, she doesn't need to show her own bank account because her husband's bank statement is good enough for the project as a sponsor. You made it sound as if she went with 500K for everything and was given a visa which is not true. |

shithapuns: THANKS @ JUSTWISE..
sry if my questions are too many, but am not just used to this new uk visa application.
IN THE ONLINE FORM THERE IS A PLACE AM ASKED, if i have ever been denied visa by any country, and state the date if yes.
my problem is..i was denied usa visa in 2010 btw aug and oct, cant remember the exact dates [though i have a valid usa visa now], so my question is what do i write since i cant remeber the exact date i was denied? That is exactly what you need to write since you can't remember the date, mention the year and month and state why you were refused. |

shithapuns: @JUSTWISE, NO..LAST time i was in the uk, i stayed 10days and came back...with 6 months visa, applied sometime later and was given 2yrs visa wch expired late 2013..............i was unable to use it, cos i got married and changed jobs. so this yr i intend to apply 6months for my wife and 2yrs for myself, writing a letter stating why i didnt use the last 2yrs visa, i hope am not wasting my money by applying for 2yrs again?
also from ur question, so i can take it that the question is meant for those that overstayed thier visa, and later voluntarily left? Yea you shouldn't have gone for 2 years again since the last one was 2 years too, should have gone for 5 or 10 years defending on how frequent you travel. If you haven't overstayed or been deported for whatever reason then select no to the answer. |
