Please I need your advice on how I can be sending Nigerian foodstuffs to the UK and if possible if you have contacts of restaurants or African shop that might be interested in buying from me.
I believe some students over there can even tap into this business on a part time basis in order to make some profit for themselves.
I just want to know if this can be possible any way. I don't know anybody who is unto this line of business, i guess many Nigerian restaurants here have their suppliers already. You can search online for Nigerian restaurants or food shops in the UK then contact them to see it. |

Were you applying to give birth in the US then? |

I esdajo: Happy New Year House and I pray this year brings forth positive results in all our endeavours, Amen!
I was at the embassy today and I had my interview for the second time as I was rejected 3 months ago and my passport seized but I was able to get a replacement and I was also able to get an interview date for today. The interview went well like the previous, only that I was asked about the city my school is in, the number of states Germany has and I was also instructed to mention them. I mentioned about 8 of them before she jumped to "how many countries share their borders with Germany"? I answered and named about 8 of them as well.
The only thing that happened during the tail end of the interview session was that she asked if I have applied to a Schengen country before and I answered in the affirmative that I was there last October and explained why I was refused and all that. She gave me a funny look and gesture and immediately dropped my passport on the counter and said I was free to go. Whether she dropped it because there was no further question to ask or because of what I said, only God knows but I felt I did the right thing by telling the truth because I also stated same on my visa application form since they will find out anyways, my new passport regardless, so I did not see any reason to lie since my previous passport number is clearly written on the new one and am also sure they keep files of visa applicants so I better stuck to the truth.
However, I have not been comfortable ever since as I do not know if telling the truth will or has landed me in trouble as it was the same embassy that asked me to reapply if I so wish that I was not under any ban whatsoever despite their seizing my previous passport and sending it back to the Nigerian Immigration Service.
House please I need your comments and/or contributions as I am lost here and need to find my bearing. Thanks! I think you underestimated your previous crime, having fake stamp on your passport is a serious immigration crime, don't waste your money applying for Schenge visa because it will an uphill task for you to be issued a visa, you may be lucky with Spouse visa if you are married to an EU citizen. |

ttmacoy: Hi,
This is a very tricky situation because if the embassy know your husband is a resident, your visa will most likely be rejected as they will see you as a potential immigrant.
One option is to exclude the fact your husband is a resident and maybe say you are single to get your student visa. Risk is will it impact your application for residency later on?
I am leaning towards the fact that it should not have an impact especially if you are yet to do the church wedding etc, but those who think/know otherwise are free to chip in.
If you are successful with the student visa then he can submit form I1-30 for you in the states for your green card which may take up to 3 years. Are you deliberately trying to get somebody in a trouble or what? This is dangerous advice and very very unreasonable thing to do. |

Morning all, I applied for dependant visa for my wife nd 8 months old boy on 22nd December and I indicated that I hope to travel with them to UK on the 9th of January. Is it a must for them to make a decision before an indicated travel date? Yes that will influence the timing of their decision but if your school is resuming later than the date you indicated then it will not make much of a difference. |

nonoski: justwise and other very knowledgeable fellows, thanks for the good works u guys are doing here
Good day, pls I need ur assistance in terms of advice. Other than Ghana I haven’t travelled out of the country. I would be applying for a UK visa (General Visa 6 months) in the first week of April along with my wife, son (3years) and daughter (1year) for my brother in laws wedding coming up in May.
I was just informed of the date a few days ago
From what I have gathered so far I need to print out my six months statement (October 2014 – March 2015). The problem is that my salary account has been on low for a while duh it has a lot of cash flow but due to heavy commitments its always below N120,000. I’m a senior staff in federal civil service and some of our allowances were paid us in December close to N2mill but I spent most of it. I can easily raise huge cash from several sources but I learnt it could be counter-productive so I want to wait till end of January/first week of February when we are paid series of our allowances which will total over N2.5mil so as to reflect its source. So what I need advice on 1) If I maintain an account balance of like N500k from now till end of January/first week of February and then receive my allowances close to N2.5m and leave it till 1st of April before printing out my statement would it be ok?
2) My Wife had been to the UK for her masters sponsored by FG back in Oct. 2012, however my Son who was less than One year then was refused a Tier 4 dependant VISA stating paragraph 319H (The crux of the matter was that I didn’t apply along with my Son) I didn’t see it as necessary applying coz I knew the nature of my work would not allow me leave the country. My Wife was too devastated and had to defer her master’s programme after several weeks in the UK, she left UK since Dec 2012 and hadn’t returned to UK despite the fact her student visa expired in Jan. 2014. Hope it won’t affect My Son?
3) My Wife has close to #7,000 (Seven thousand pounds) in her UK account untouched since 2013 can we use that? 4) Most of my landed properties are not in my name however I have two (one in PH and another in Owerri) which are in my name, can I use them? They are just land deeds? 5) Should I also include an statement from my pension fund administrators showing a balance of close to N3mill? Do I include my employment letter and also get an introduction letter from my office (Duh it’s a Federal Agency) Thank you very much if I could have some of these questions answered so as to know what best to do without making mistakes. 1. Allow your account to run the way its now without any attempt to move money around from unnamed sources. the 500k and 2.5m coming in will help. 2. Your wife should not worry about abandoning her studies because of her son, any responsible mother will do that considering the child's age, she needs to explain this in her application form or with separate paper. 3.Yes she can use the account, let her get the bank statement. 4. Use those in your name. 5. Sure you can do that, it can only increase your chances. |

dayo1401: @Justwise, please can you elaborate how UK spouse visa would help really. Wouldn't it be a valid question for the VO to ask that why does she not want to give birth in the UK when she hold a UK visa that would enable her give birth for free in London.Just a thought Spouse visa holder is as good as British citizen and will not be seen as a potential immigrant to US, she is entitled to free healthcare in the UK, so going to US to have her baby is a matter of choice. She has faith in their healthcare system bla bla. |
