No benefits at all? Never read or heard of any...since non of the parents are British citizen. |

The hospital increased their price because of demand so what? There are other hospitals and its their loss. I knew from beginning that she is just a marketer and this case proves it. |

RICHIEBOI1: Hi, pls I will be traveling to UK next summer with my sister and her family On vacation and we will all be staying in their house in London. My sister and her family live here in Lagos and her husband is a briton(white) and she has an Irish passport. He needs to know if he will have to write a letter to d embassy telling them that he will be accommodating me while we are there and his bank statement. I will be spending only 2 weeks while there. I work too. I have been to Germany some years back and returned before d expiration of my visa. Pls what requirements does my brother in law and I have to provide to get d visa.

odikomo1: @justwise thank you very much for the answer. Can i ask if the 28 days of bank balance for uk visa can be overlooked by the visa officer. Or can i tell my school to send a recommendation letter regards the urgency of the visa so the 28 days waiting should be ignored.?. That can not overlooked, its part of visa requirements |

beejaybida: Belated Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays, everybody.
Kind assistance required. I wish to sponsor my 62 yr old mother inlaw to visit her master's student son in manchester come April. She was a business woman but has been inactive since she turned 60. Retirement you could call it. Her retiree husband has other wives so sponsoring her isnt a priority of his. my questions are below:
1. Does she need any letter of consent or so, from her husband? 2. Will her son in Univ of Salford (on PTDF scholarship) need to write a covering letter attaching his school ID etc, in support of her application? 3. Since i intend to cover all expenses, will she need to attach her bank statement to the application? 4. Outside of my bank statement, assets papers, employment details and a covering letter, do i need to attach any other thing? 5. Are there things i am missing outside of those above?
She has lived in the US in the past (has an american first born sef) and last visited US and UK 11 yrs ago. Her most recent trips were to Dubai and China for business.
Kindly assist in filling in any gap i am not noticing in the application.
Thanks and Happy New Year in advance. 1. That is not really necessary. 2. Yes he can do that, it will not harm her application but increase her chances. 3. Since you will be picking up the bills she does not necessarily need to add her own bank statement but if she has a reasonable amount in it then its ok to add it. 4. Proof of accommodation for her in the UK, if her son lives in 2bed room flat/house then he should add the tenancy agreement or proof of hotel booking for her. |

TheRainmaker1: Yes Sir, I can "walk into my Local Government Secretariat with placards protesting about corruption" if I wish, and nothing will happen.
I may not be able to go to the North to condemn boko haram, because I have no business there, but if i wish, I can d it from here, and people will get the message there...its the digital age.
People have been condemning boko haram for years, and they're still alive. Do you remember "Occupy Nigeria"? How about "Bring back our girls'? Those are things you may not be able to do safely in some other countries. Bros you are living in denial, Occupy Nigeria and Bring back our girls achieved what exactly? Can you tell me? Anybody can write junk online hiding behind device but what difference does it make in Nigeria? Nothing, millions are still poor and unemployed, no decent hospital, road, water, quality education or security...its a lawless society. Let see how many that will be killed as general election selection approaches |

TheRainmaker1: You misunderstand me Sir.
I'm not saying we have an ideal situation in Nigeria... far from that. What I'm saying is that here, we can express ourselves fully, without fear of being thrown in jail or killed as is the case in some countries. That's why some people can go on air and make some treasonous and libelous statements and still be free. This Freedom of expression is a great asset which many people do not appreciate till it's taken away from them. Are we still talking about Nigeria here? We enjoy freedom of speech in Nigeria? Can i have you travel to any state in the north to condemn or protest against Boko Haram? Can you walk in to your local govt with placard to protest about corruption? |

TheRainmaker1: We may not have that reality yet, but it's in our hands to make it come true, by our choice of leaders. I don't want to get Political here. But if you go outside this country, you don't even have that option. You either take what you're given, or go back to your country ("or go back to the African jungle from which you escaped", as some racist white men would say) So its still a dream then? Do you know what? The sooner me and you start telling ourselves some hard truth the better for us. Who are you preaching about Nigeria situation? In the last 20yrs tell me a single sector in Nigeria that has being doing very well. You talked about first class treatment as Nigerian citizen...where? Where in Nigeria do you enjoy that? |

TheRainmaker1: The Craze among Nigerian youths to travel 'abroad' is really alarming. I don't know why most of us think we can't make it' here. How can a young man leave Nigeria with a Masters degree and go be an Airport security personnel (or something worse, in many cases) in U.K or some other random country? That's why people get defrauded on a daily basis by fraudsters claiming to be Visa agents.
I'd rather remain here in Nigeria, where I have complete freedom, and have the rights of a first class citizen, than go elsewhere and be a second or even third class citizen. I will travel 'abroad' for business and leisure when the time comes....
..wonderful writeup @OP Is that your dream or reality on ground? |
