ferdimako: I am still thinking hard. When he mentioned voucher, that struck me.I really don't know how reduced it is to use voucher. All I will find out tomorrow from ETS. Again I may still hold back his cash until I see my TOEFL results.
Just pray that at no point in future will the transaction be linked to you, because if he used stolen credit card to buy the voucher then when the police starts their investigation the whole transactions will be traced.

loomjet: @ justwise! If I choose to appeal do I have to go thru a solicitor or can my spouse represent me?
Waste of time and money.

Your spouse can represent you at the tribunal easily. Nothing to be scared about, it will be just her, the tribunal judge and UKBA representative (if they bothered to turn up)

ferdimako: He said he used voucher but what I don't know if the payment via that option is cheaper. I remember paying via voucher in 2001.But it was paper-based and I mailed the package to the Netherlands.

So it is either after calling tomorrow to ascertain the authenticity of the payment or we all wait till my results come home and it's released that I will pay. And going by what Nigerians are capable of doing, I will follow the latter. Note it wasn't just the reduced money...but the easiness and prompt delivery. So everyone should hold on while I come out the guinea pig,'confirmedly' scammed (not paid yet)or okay. Mr Amefrica, what is your take and situation? Mr DELETED paid for you right?
You really believed that there is a genuine voucher out there people can lay hands on easily that is cheaper than the official price?

olarwarlay: When will people learn for God's sake?. Do You need a prophet to tell You that registering below the stipulated ETS charge is a scam?. Now, see what You guys have gotten yourself into.

We all really need to change the way We reason, We tend to blame our government for being corrupt and spoilt but in reality, We are not helping matters too 'coz why would a genuine student who made up His mind to sit for an exam fall for this?. It would even have been better not writing it at all.

The other day I was angry because my school's official courier said they do noy accept credit card payment from Nigerians, this is why they do not trust Us!

#Justwise, please see to it that this guy is banned totally from this thread... He is a disgrace to Our dear Country!!!
justwise: Got his ID and he is banned.

vandarsar: Hi Nairalanders, this is to announce that i can register candidates for toefl

pls mail me up if @ vandarsar@hotmail.com.

NOTE: I dont sit for candidates or hire people to do such,
all am capable of doing is to register you for the exam at a cheaper price than you would normally have paid to ets.

Thanks
Don't contact this guy, his means of payment is questionable, you will get in trouble with ETS if he pays for you and your score will not be released.

Deep Sight: Unless you are ignorant of the Nigerian Corporate and Business circles, you would know that tens of thousands of Brits have to visit Nigeria all the time for business purposes. Big Business.
Yes on business visa, so this policy will not affect business visa applicants.

loomjet: I applied for the stay before we got seperate in the uk. i applied in uk when i was on a visit visa in 2008. the application was refused because they said as a visitor i cant change my status , that i have to return to nigeria to apply for a spoues visa. i wasnt giving any right of appeal so i applied for judicary review in the uk . this process was taking so long.while waiting for the court my first marriage broke down.while i was separted with my previous wife i met my current wife in march 2011 and i witdrew my judical review and left uk voluntary in 2012 march. i got dirvorced in sept 2012 and i got married again to my current wife in jan 2013.
Ok...do you have any evidence to show that you actually applied to withdraw the review?

loomjet: Pls everyone am still awaiting for ur advice. Should and appeal and aslo reapply. can i do the 2 at the same time. while awaiting for the appeal process i want to make a fresh application aswel. 6months is sooo long
From financial point of view its waste of money doing both, weight your case and go for one, looking at the time it takes for appeal to be finalized.....reapplying seems more appropriate to me.

loomjet: Thank you so must Justwise, pls how do you think i can convince the first reason of refuasl. The divorce certificate states that the marriage has broken down irretrievably since the parties had lived apart for over 3 years , however records in the UK shows that u applied for leave to remain as a spouse of a settled person to ur previous wife in dec 2008. you continued to pursue with this application until it was refused and u left the uk voluntary on the 31/03/2012. Therefore ..
I was separeted wen i met my current patner in uk. i submitted 2 flight ticket of my wife when she visited me in nigeria and the ECO said i submitted just one . pls advice me . Am thinking of reapplying
The bolded part is the issue here, if you filed for divorce why then did you apply for a stay as a spouse of somebody you are divorcing?

I need to add...did you apply for a stay before filing for the divorce or after?

Ms Nas: If you paid less than the official $175 charged by ETS for the TOEFL Test, then I tell you authoritatively, the guy scammed you and shortchanged ETS. I know what he did, because I almost fell into that trap too. What they do is that, they get credit cards from those scammers, use the credit card (which isn't theirs) to register for you. Hence, the fee they collected from you will be cheap since the money they used to pay for the test isn't theirs. I only pray for you, that the card doesn't charge back, before your exam or before you have a chance to view and print your scores. Otherrwise, once ETS attempts to verify the payment (which they do, but I dunno how they do that), the card company will decline the payment and charge ETS extra money for the deception or whatsoever. ETS will they withold your scores until you pay up. And they'll even add additional $20 (the chargeback fee the credit company levied them). Hope I made sense o! Just my 2 cents
You are spot on! Its a common online fraud, that happens even in ebay and Amazon, people using stolen credit card to pay for goods online then resale cheaper or they buy things for you online, pay with stolen credit card then collect cash from you. When the police trace the delivery address you get arrested.

OMO IBO: Regardless bruh.
The Govt of India should have something to say about this.
Trust me...nothing, its refundable and if they do anything at all it will be 3000 equivalent of Indian currency which many British people who wants to visit India can afford.
Travel › Re: FG To Impose £20,000 Visa-Bond On UK Visitors by justwise(mod): 4:51pm On Jun 25, 2013
Nigerian govt and their stupidity, this will only affect Nigerians, i doubt any British will like to pay 20000 pounds just to visit Nigeria, they rather go to Ghana, SA, Egypt etc. Nigeria is not a holiday destination for foreigner.

This is just hot air.
Travel › Re: FG To Impose £20,000 Visa-Bond On UK Visitors by justwise(mod): 4:45pm On Jun 25, 2013
OMO IBO: With the exception of british arlines (british airways and virgin atlantic)I'm not sure this'll hurt cameron as core british interest in nigeria is far between. plus, they do not depend heavily on our oil.

I must say though, I'm surprised india is on that list. A few months ago (last year, I believe), cameron and his buds, including theresa may, were in india begging for alms A.k.A investments.

Jaguar/land rover is owned by TATA of india. An indian owns the biggest steel manufacturing company in the UK and possibly the world- Mittel.

How theresa may and cameron got here is beyond me. They got this one wrong.
The rule only affect visiting visa applicants, basically first timers. Indian business applicants are not included.

master007: @ justwise. Please Wise men in the house take time to reply each of my question.
1. Deposit of only £1200 acceptable by school
2. Do I need to book an accomodation before going to vfs centre
3. Should I indicate my expired passport which I have been refused netherland visa in year 2008 but als have travelled to singapore and India on that passport?
4. Should I include my foriegn proffessional certificates
5. My company is giving me a study leave letter for the course but I have only spent one year plus with the company.
6. student tier 4 visa application website and do I need to print each page of the application form as I am filling them?
FutureDon: I understand that the use of agent nauseates Justwise. I'm not a fan of agents either, however I would answer your question.

You don't have to worry since the school only asked you to pay a deposit of 1200. However, it is imperative that you have the tuition balance + maintenance fee in your account.

No, you don't have to wait till August before applying for visa, you can pay the tuition balance when you get to the UK. Your agent should know by now that its not compulsory for you to pay your full tuition before applying for visa.
Somebody answered you here ^^^^

I don't have anything to say since you have an agent paid to do it for you. I try to help people who want to do it themselves. That is my policy

Apart from Nigeria which other country do they have a branch?

Vicjustice: I'm not sure that the ECO was reasonable in judging that a person who earns N200K in Nigeria does not have a satisfying financial circumstance unless of course your bank statement is questionable. But however, the Visa Officer was right in denying you the visa for reason of the threat that you pose to the UK immigration as you stated in the bolded part
Then again if she works for a company it sounds questionable that she is funding the conference rather than the company.
