jenni1108: just had 2 lawyers tell me that appeal cost between £1500 - £2000 between the both of them

abeg do i have to use a lawayer, cos the reasons the ECO gave are extremely weak and i intend to go thru all my bills over the past 2 years and hightlight every single text and phone call made on evey single page and also submit those bank statements - must i pay £2k for someone to help me do this.

also do i have to get my local MP involved
You don't need a lawyer, you knew what to do already, appeal cost just 140 or 80 pounds depending on whether you are going for oral or paper hearing, arrange your documents are you listed above and write your statement.

Nobody can tell your story better than you will even at the tribunal.

GboyegaD: In as much as I don't support his actions, deleting him would not stop his acts as he can register with a new ID. I think we should blame those who chose the reduced fee option since they know too well that the guy wasn't going to make up their monies on their behalf as he is not a charity organization so why use him?
Surely he can get another ID, two of his IDs are gone already and i'm waiting for him to register another one and post.

jenni1108: they claimed i only called him a couple of time last year (even thou i submitted 18 months of O2 phone bills with the bloody lyca access number highlighted for them and the pirnt out of the linked lyca talk account)
and that i only used my lyca mobile a few times - um duh i have an o2/lyca account as well

also payslips up to march bank statement only up to december.

i have to go now - have a meeting

still waiting for my husband to scan the refusal letter

can i appeal on his behalf or does it have to be done in nigeria?

i can't stand dumb ass incompetent admin staff who make decsions that affect people's lives
That was really silly excuses to waste people's money and time.

He has to appeal from Nigeria but you can represent him here in the UK, appear in tribunal to present your case.

Travel › Re: UK Rescinds £3,000 Entry Bond On Nigerians? by justwise(mod): 8:35am On Jun 26, 2013
Ije004: The United Kingdom has aborted its plan to
place a £3,000 bond on Nigerians seeking
entry to the country, a spokesman for
Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Ministry told Daily
Trust in Abuja on Monday.
The Sunday Times of London had quoted UK
Home Secretary Theresa May as saying that a
pilot scheme that would target visitors from
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nigeria
and Ghana would take off in November under
which travellers from those countries would pay
a cash deposit of £3,000 to deter immigration
abuse. They will forfeit the money if they
overstay their visas.
But when contacted for comments yesterday,
spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry in
Abuja, Mr Ode Ogbole, replied with text
message saying: "It's been rescinded". He did
not give further details and did not answer
subsequent telephone calls.
Another official of the ministry who chose to
remain anonymous also told Daily Trust that a
message from the UK government rescinding
the plan had been sent to the Presidency.
Earlier yesterday, Foreign Affairs Minister
Olugbenga Ashiru told journalists at the
ministerial platform commemorating the mid-
term anniversary of the Jonathan administration
that no official communication had been
received from the British government by
Nigeria on the subject.
He assured Nigerians of government's readiness
to defend and protect them all over the world
but urged them to always conduct themselves in
a manner that will portray Nigeria in good
image.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives
Foreign Affairs Committee has described the
proposed UK entry bond as discriminatory and
unacceptable.
"This is totally discriminatory and unacceptable.
It is targeted to non-white Commonwealth. We
would take a critical look at the policy as it
affects Nigerians and come up with a way
forward," committee chairman Rep. Nnenna
Elendu-Ukeje (PDP Abia) said in a statement.
"We agreed totally with the UK Foreign
Minister that the policy is totally unworkable
and impractical. It is contrary to the
commitment made to our President by David
Cameron during their last meeting. We believe it
is for political reason ahead of general election.
We seek that our long historical relationship
should take precedence over political
expediency," Ukeje said.

Gbawe: Tragic. Not making excuses for these guys but some of them are genuine victims of circumstances if you trace how they became involved in crime.
You just did, should we all turn kidnappers and armed robbers because things are hard?

playah P: My heart goes out to the thieves/kidnappers.
They don't deserve to die like this!!

The people they kidnapped are the same upperclass fucktards holding the poor people in Nigeria down!!

Criminals should learn to booby trap their houses!!.....haba!!
They deserve to die a painful death.

So one should be kidnapped or robbed for being an upper class? Good job the police!! As long as they are guilty please blow their brains up

It will be your turn one day

kollinz003: Good evening all... I'm resuming at Swansea University in September 2013 for my postgraduate studies - please do you suggest campus residence accommodation or off campus and WHY? Kindly advice. Please is there anyone going to Swansea University for academic session to start September 2013? Would like us to talk, cos I'm going for September 2013 too, kindly reach me. Thanks.
Off campus is cheaper and less restrictive. School accommodation is always more expensive.

wolske: @Justwise, Please jst a quick question. I plan to apply for my Visa in the first week of July. I'm supposed to go to the UK for my Phd with my wife (as my dependant) but she has to do a name change (from her maiden name to my own name) on her paasport and i understand this might take like three weeks. Meanwhile i want to apply for visa as early as possible. Do you think i should go on with my own application now and my wife can send in her own application when her passport is ready? Do you think it's advisable to do it this way? Or do you advise i wait for her own passport to be ready( and only God knows when that will be) so that we can do a joint application?
You can do it both ways but doing it together will be less stressful depending on when her passport comes out.

Just wise,i wanted to find out this from you.I work for my own up and coming sports marketing company in Ghana and in March,I applied for a visit visa to aid me attend a day sports conference in UK,but at that time both me and my company was cash strapped so i sought sponsorship from a construction company of my colleague and hence used their statement but the bottom line is i was refused because, i should have disclose my personal financial standing and moreover,my sponsor who was footing my travel is a construction company and hence they find it hard to understand why a company unconnected to the world of sports is sponsoring me.I agree with them to a large extent because of insufficient documents and evidence. My issue is this,i have gotten a school in UK to read Sports Marketing for 2 years. i have gone through all the requirements for applying for TIER 4 visa and will be applying in August but i was wondering if my first refusal will have an influence on my new application.i will be grateful,if you could also advice me as to how to go about this, taking BOTH circumstances into consideration.

Rashid,Ghana
Were you refused under paragraph 320(7A)or(7B)

jimtosam: Congrats Doc.

They rarely deny students going to top schools or students who got funding.. Even it happens when you go job interview in the USA.. They interview Graduate from low-rank schools but chat with Graduate from top schools. To be candid, this is not discrimination/bias. Guys from top schools know their onions. They are making things happening in the world..Even, their dropouts are fires.

Yea i agreed with you, we saw what they did to financial sector, recession since 2008, billions lost, top graduates making things happen indeed.
