johnwray: Just a little addition my Oga Justwise - she can sign and send the appeal on his behalf but she has to fill her name in the representative column of the form. Make sure you attach an appeal statement addressing all the issues; with reference to the additional supporting documents.
Thanks for that additional info, its important.

@ Justwise -

My wife's settlement application is now 2+ months old (appl. was submitted on 04/25). The wait is beginning to hurt big time!

I'm told 'straightforward' applications are resolved within 40 to 60 days, usually. Is that truehuh

I'm in panic mode activated right now!!

Thanks again for una wise counsel
Have contacted them?

jidebobo: Pls house who can explain to me about the new law in uk embassy about 3,000$. The amount is all about what. I need someone to explain to me because it will effect from NOV, 2013. Have not be hearing debate about it(3,000$).
If you are applying for visiting visa for the 1st time you will be asked to deposit 3000 pounds, when you visit and come back without overstaying your visa the money will be refunded to you but if you overstayed your visa then you lose the money.

Saw a reply of yours to someone that he needs to pay his fees in full b4 applying. will my part payment of fees affect my chances of a successful visa application?

No, you are good to go, as long as the school did not ask you to pay in full then you will be fine

Yes affidavit will take care of that.

Vicjustice: I like to answer your questions in their orders.
1) It is not necessary to write a "self introduction letter", the company's paperworks are sufficient to tell who you are.
2) If you are on salaries or wages, then payslips may be required otherwise, your bank statements alone can do it.
3) Writing a letter to outline the reason(s) for wishing to travel is not necessary, you don't want to give them unnecessary details that would stir up reasons for more questions.
4)

Though he still need to state places he tend to visit in the UK or what he tend to do while in the UK

jenni1108: so i have started getting my docs together - please how long does the appeal process last.

I have all the missing bank statements ready (do i need to date or just up to the date of application - April 2013?)

also i have now printed out all my O2 phone bills for the past 18 months and had the fun and joy of highlighting all the lyca calls, have reprinted and cross referenced the lyca pages and instructions - u know just in case thier brain needs some help, explaining how lyca talk operates, have printed the page from O2 explaining that calling nigeria is £1 a minute hence why i don't call from my mobile directly. I have also written a 3 page letter to clairfy and adddress and expand on each point and provide detailed explainations to them for all points (yes i'm thorough)

since these are the issues they are claiming (oh yeah also not enough pictures) will this take the estimated 6 months i keep ready about cos this sepeartion is no longer funny for me.
girlfio: @jenni1108

So sorry to hear about your refusal, this whole process is just ridiculous and does not take in to account the pain felt by those in a legitimate relationship.

Really good to hear that you've sourced all documents and shown in your appeal statement how each of these documents respond to their refusal points. The bank statements should be up to the same period of your payslips. If possible, have each page stamped by your bank. We were refused because my bank statements were printed from my online account and not stamped on every page by the counter staff at my bank (just silly!) Also highlight on the bank statements the points at which your pay hits your account.

About how long it all takes, unless you have a strong reason why the appeal should be expedited, it can take about 8 weeks for the Leicester office to process the appeal i.e. log, take the payment and then send the bundle to the Sheffield office. Then once at the Sheffield office they give themselves 5 months from that point. The thing is, the waiting time is all really based on how busy the UKBA office is so it could happen sooner. You've just got to stay in regular contact with them to get updates, stay prayerful and trust that God is working it all out for you.
@jenni1108

girlfio has given you a good reply.

Just wise, i have gotten an admission to study a BA(Hons) Programme in the Uk.My sponsor who is in the
states paid my tuition fee together with the accommodation fee with a credit card.which i verified from
the institution and they confirmed receiving such a payments.i have spoken to him about getting receipts from the institution so that i add them to my documents for submission but he has not been able to get them and time is not on my side too.i am in the process of gathering my documents to apply
for the visa and wanted to find out if i could submit my application without those receipts but anyway my CAS statement captures that these fees have been paid.I was thinking that even if i dont have those receipts, i still require a letter in a form of sponsorship claiming he paid the tuition fees right and if yes, can you please
advise any further regarding the information and documents that i need to include to support that claim.
With respect to my situation

Regards
Walako
You don't need any receipt, CAS will do.

Do you have your maintenance money? (7200 or 9000 pounds) in bank account?

my court hearing was on last monday the 24th and it took about 1 and half hour, the judge told me she cant give me the decision on the same day.im wondering how long it takes to get the decision letter.thanks
You will receive a letter from the tribunal within 15 working days or less about the decision, after that another 15 working days will be given for you or the HomeOffice to challenge the outcome of the appeal, sometimes this processes takes less time.

Its pretty easy to do, its matter of keeping tap on certain old IDs and new ones stands out. I don't visit every thread , some threads in this section are safe while some are hot-bed of dodgy characters.

arzakari2: that is in the application form right?and again i want to find out this from you.i have an account that i created since 2010.i still have access to it but its been dormant for a year now.The last time i deposited money is about a year ago.my issue is that my mum is actually stuffing this account with the required living cost/maintenace funds by next week and so we wait for 28 days roughly by the end of the month to get a statement out and apply for the visa.i want to find out whether the dormancy of the account has the tendency for me to be refused and if yes, what do i need to do
Hope to hear from you soon
Thank you...May God Bless you for the good work.
Yes its in the application form, you will be fine with the bank account, no issue with that.... student-visa wise.

arzakari2: justwise,I have seen the refusal clearance document and it says the reason was based on 46G(ii) of the UK immigration Rule HC395(as amended)

Hope to hear you soon.
You don't have to worry about the previous refusal but you still have to state it in the form when asked.
