I do not have to agree with people, make your point politely and move on.

Don Cipher: @surecan, ur post on cumin bck mk sense. If u really wnt to be "straight" like justwise is advocating, tell the V.O u aint cumin back.
I dnt consent to doctored accts @justwise, ur post on acct building: 1st is a crime, yle 2nd isnt; passing funds thru an acct cnt be termed 'forgery'. As a moderator, try 2b democratic sumtimes (qualities of a good leader).
@othrs wit harsh comments, u can never have an effective deliberatn being hostile to anoda.
@lillaowow 9ice 1, inflow & outflow is all that matters provided it's genuine.
Money passing through an account is not forgery as long as that account is yours and the money will be available to you in Canada, if you are only building the account just to get a visa and after the visa is issued you return the money to the owner then that is a crime immigration wise.

I don't what you mean by being democratic.

Atlantis85: Hi @justwise, I'm back again. Submitted on 4th of september and I expect to get my visa on 24th. I have been going over the docs I submitted in my head. I've asked this here before but just wanna confirm again cos I saw sumn in d previous thread.

Paid full school fees nd had my maintenance fee complete (7200) by 1st August. Made several transactions as it was my personal acct but balance never went below 7200gbp. Printed out statement on 3rd Sepetember tho last balance showed 29th august. Still 7200gbp. Is that my closing balance? Did I fulfill the 28-days requirement? Should I have had a transaction done on 3rd september? Oh actually I did make a transaction on 3rd sept (monday) but didn't reflect on the statement.
You don't have much to worry about, your application is not even up to 15 working days. There is nothing wrong with your list.

There are alot of Nigerians in Coventry university, during your orientation you will see people in the same situation as you are, approach and ask questions about accommodation, you will get help, never pay for an accommodation you haven't seen, signed tenancy agreement and have the key.

Don't risk your money, don't pay for room you have not seen or to landlord you never met and sign tenancy agreement with.

Pay for 2days hotel accommodation close to your uni then look for accommodation within those 2days.

AugustApplicant: Justwise you been smart enough so far. Please reason along with Spencer here. The guy is making a lot of sense. Lets just bury this discussion. Since you are the honorable moderator, please next time hide posts like this. I kind of regret asking because of a fact, somethings are better not said. Nigerians are not the most corrupt people in the world rather we are the most lousy. We talk out our problems like we only have them. Am not supporting crime here but the Chinese and Indians are better criminals but wont argue over such in public. Please hide all my post about this discussion. I ask for the favor and would be grateful
Statement like that is what i have being hearing from people who support all sorts of dodgy dealings with the excuse that Chinese and Indians are worst than us, that is you giving excuses for crime, don't say you don't support crime and at the same time you make such comment.

AugustApplicant: Ok I agree with Spenser. Lets change the discussion. I am modifying all my questions so if you quoted me and think its not fair exposing such matters in public, pls modify your post containing my question cos I just did that.
In a way discussing this openly will help some people to realize what they are getting themselves into, keeping it secret will not solve any problem, if any of us here want to help clean up our image as Nigerians then lets openly and secretly denounce any form of fraud/forgery. sweeping it under the carpet can only make matters worst.

surecan: please Justwise and other gurus,if some one his basic salary is like 300k,may be other allowances at the end of the month is like 200k,he started building his account for like 8months with like may be 700k,do i need to show how 200k comes in.lets assumed that i lend someone money from my previous months and he started paying me 200k on monthly basis during that months or may be i do work other work that have no proper record like pay in cash jobs, like a Doctor now who may have private patients,is this method also bad, please throw more light on it
What i tell everybody is this....don't include any money in your account that you can not explain with genuine paper genuine evidence, separate your salary from any other money that can not be officially explained.

You maybe able to explain this in the case of an interview but when your application is judged by paper you submitted then its a lot more tricky.

AugustApplicant: I guess you are right. I was actually looking through someone's statement of acct who did something like that. In her case, she owns the enterprise and was not paying herself salary but now wanting to apply for a visiting visa, started paying herself salary in the name of the company. I didn't think she did wrongly though so encouraged her to go ahead. Talking about loopholes, I couldn't think of any honestly even though I really did cracked my brain about one. She had payslip and other supporting docs to back her claims so I asked her to go ahead.
Those who are trained to spot forgery know where to look, you got no clue how to figure that out.

I'm not here to support any sort of...fraud or encourage system cheating, if some Nigerians who apply for visa are honest with their application then embassies will not take yrs to verify applications, some of us think we are clever by forging and faking documents....embassy know better.

The embassy has a way of figuring that out, there is always a loophole in forgery.

There is no need for that, if she is Coventry university staff then the op will be picked up just like every other student heading to Coventry university, no need for any sort of 'hook up'

She helped you? Are you in Coventry now?
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by justwise(mod): 9:17am On Sep 20, 2012
Don Cipher: Pardon me, i do not seem to agree that should be classified as a forged document. The money in question is his & actually passed through the acct in question unlike a doctored statemt that never had such transactions. A lot of people build accts over time for visa processing, would you call that a forged document as well. The problem lies when the V.O can't see the r/ship btw the transactions in the account & his salary details where he claims to work; though i feel he culd have just deposited with his name & explained in a cover letter wit coy docs to say he collects salary in cash. I stand to be corrected.
Forgery comes in all sorts of forms, when you alter a genuine document with the intent to defraud then that is forgery.

The op pays in N100k at some point into into his account and on the deposit slip he fills in June salary when in the real fact its deposit intended to make it look like June salary, that is altering and did not represent the actual fact.

Account 'building' comes into 2parts as well, people pay bank staff to 'build' an account for them for visa purposes and when the visa is issued them give up the account....that is a crime.

Other people genuinely build (savings) an account over a period of time and use it for visa purposes.....that is not a crime.

AugustApplicant: Honest question: what do you say in a situation where someone submit an original bank statement but in a way, its arranged to fit the purpose for its use? What I mean is that you pay in say N100k at some point into ur account and on the deposit slip, you fill in June salary when in the real fact its ur deposit intended to make it look like June salary. Offcourse there is the company docs to back it up and the statement if confirmed original. But honestly isn't that a distortion still?
Honest answers please..
Its the same as presenting forged document, the info you have in that bank statement is made up, it still a crime and don't complain if the embassy figure that out and refused you a visa.

penfold: @justwise,
Just an update, and maybe this might help someone, especially the person whose children were not given a Visa.
Concerning the question I asked about a pregnant Tier 4 applicant, Well, She stated in her application that she was pregnant, and her husband applied with her (he changed his mind after much persuasion). She was phoned from the British High Commission after the 9th day or thereabouts and she was asked her course details, and also asked to confirm how much she had paid for tuiton. Then she was asked how many weeks pregnant she was, and how she intended to cope with academics and pregnancy. They also asked if she was aware that they would not grant her baby (when the baby is born) permission to stay in the UK unless she can prove that her husband was with her in the UK, in addition to the funds for maintenance that would be required (and I think this is very strange and unusual by the way) she answered all their questions. Well, both she and her husband were granted the visa and they came into the UK this morning.
So one should just be as truthful as possible when applying for entry clearance in addition to reading all their guidelines and complying with them.
Her case would have been different if the husband was not going with her, i like the fact that they called her which allows her explain things better. They don't always call people as such, so congratulations to her.

Now it is obvious n crystal clear dat whether married or single parent, Ʊ can't travel with ur child (even unborn) 2d UK without the husband's permission.

Learning is a continuous process...I can bet some travel agents dnt av such experience sef. Bigups 2 NL n everyoda person in dis room no regrets ever joining #kuods!
That is not true, her husband is traveling with them, so she does not need to present a letter from the husband because he is going with them

deevick246: @ Justwise, where are my earlier post of today?

If I can recollect vividly our earlier argument today wasn't characterised by insulting writeups, rather it was purely directed at letting you realise that you were too quick in decrying/suspecting OYEWOLEJOS contribution to a poster inquiry here. I know you usually hide/delete abusive comments which are likely to hamper the peaceful existence of this thread.

So, why did you hide my posts??
Those posts add no value to the main idea of this thread, i did not only hide your posts mine was among those hidden as well. If you want to continue with that argument then open a new thread for that.

djunit1: Oyewole said he would advice yankeeboi but your said if he drops his email you'd delete it! That is over do. I am not a friend of his. If you follow this thread then you'd know he and I never agrees but what you said was not right

Assuming that oyewoles advice is goin to be something illegal is over do! Deletin people's comment just because you are offended by it is another one. Breakin this thread into parts when clearly it can continue for as long as possible is another over do I can go on and on but I wont.

IMO, there should be like 3 to 4 moderators to agree on whether to take down a contribution before it can be taken down. Lettin one person especially a Nigerian make decisions such as this is never a good idea
Why do some of you make comment for the sake of it? I did not delete people's post because it offended me, i hide those posts including mine because it derails this thread and we have all made our points, its time to move on to the main issue.

Even before i hide the posts some people here have started complaining why i left them, i can still bring up those posts now for everybody to see.

A lot of people have started threads here just to rain abuses on me, i made those threads sticky for more than 24hrs, i did not ban those posters, i can bring up those thread if you want.

Breaking up the thread into parts was a decision made by Seun as he was working on the system and now we don't break threads into parts as you can see in Canadian thread, so all the allegations you made here are unfounded and without a single substance.

djunit1: There you go again with America is "Sweet" Everywhere you find yourself can be sweet if you plan well, People who are not complaining are people who have families here. I dont care how much funding you get from your school, life in yankee is not easy. Lets us try our best to tell it the way it is. Sugar coating wont help others! It is because of these stories that made Yankeeboi1 come to yankee without a laptop, he was prolly expecting to get one for cheap or free. Na so I leave mine for Naija too! I was lucky I had enough money to buy another as soon as I got here.

I beg everyone of you in yankee to please and please always paint the picture the way it is. So unneccessary sufferins of Nairalanders can be avoided.

As for Justwise, you are over doin it!!! This is usually the problems with Nigerians. When you give them power they abuse it and turn themselves to gods.

Imprecious I am not hopin for a better day in yankee. my own na to manage finish school go back home. It does not matter how much hope you have in this country everything is fixed, I have met too many people and got very close to them. These people make 100Gs annually and they still strugglin with student loans and mortgages This is how I know this country will not favor everyone especially people like us who grew up in other countries with different way of life. A life and system where we get what we want whenever we want.

That is all
Explain how i over do it.
