Seerer: At healthrow airport, on entrance to the UK, he was detained for almost an hour, after all required checks, his finger prints were taken, for 'not given satisfactory info to an immigration officer'. His passpot was however stamped, and entrance to the UK granted. Now he wants to travel again but he is entertaining fear of refusal following the fingerprints issue. Should he wait till after 10 years before he apply, or go ahead and apply now. NOTE! He was not charged with any offence, he just does not understand the effect of the fingerprint in pursueing another visa. Well informed NLanders, help out please. Was it just entry stamp that was stamped on his passport? Taking his fingerprint is normal, nothing strange about that. |

kobayashi2012: So, what are my chances should I ask for a review/appeal?? You don't have full right of appeal, you can only go for review or re-apply addressing those issues raised by the ECO |
Travel › Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by justwise(mod): 4:31pm On Sep 25, 2012 |
kobayashi2012: Hello All,
I recently applied for a tourist visa to accompany my husband (who has a valid visa) on holiday to the UK. All documents were presented, including my husband's bio data page, valid UK visa, sponsorship letter and financing (account statements - my account highlighting my salary, my husband's personal account and our joint a/c) showing he is more than capable to cover 70% of the trip (as filled in the forms). We were SHOCKED when the visa application was refused with the following comment:
"You have sought entry as a visitor for 8 days; you have declared no friends or family in the UK and intend to stay at a hotel for the duration of your stay. While it is not a prerequisite I would have expected you to submit evidence of any plans made in the UK and evidence of your intentions whilst you are there. This has undermined your intentions and I am not satisfied that your circumstances in Nigeria are as stated. I am therefore not satisfied, on the balance of probabilities, that you are a genuine visitor who intends to leave the UK as required by Paragraph 41(i) and (ii) of HC 395.
I have therefore refused your application because I am not satisfied, on the balance of probabilities, that you meet all of the requirements of the relevant paragraph of the United Kingdom Immigration Rules.
Your right of appeal is limited to the grounds referred to in section 84(1)(c) of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (www.legislation.gov.uk)"
What are my chances should I ask for a review/appeal
** We are not at risk of flight cos we have been to Southern Africa and Western Europe before. You were refused in two different issues....1, you did not make a list of things you tend to do in the UK..e.g places you tend to visit. 2. The financial evidence you submitted is not convincing enough..meaning that there is no enough evidence to show that the money is actually available to you. |

anyijoe: Pls house some1 should help me on these question!
I was denied! And the reason was "sponsorship not credible"
And only 2 colume were marked and it says I have not convinced dem that I will survive in canada @ list for a year without working!
That was just d only reason!
My sponsor was a family frnd! D only thing his released to me was just statement of account and a land doc!...he refused to give me anything that has his company name of it! Or even letter headed paper for his consent letter! Tax clearance, lpo, invoice, data page of his passport or any other documents I asked him earlier...now that I was denied! He now want to make all those docs available to me and even pay one year tuition for me
My question is! Can I still use him? Since he was my formal sponsor of which I was denied..
And if yes! How can I go abt this! To prove to cdhc that I have enuf fund for my period of study in canada?
And wat are the docs I need to collect from him,if he were to be my sponsor again!...
And how do I prove my relationship to him or with my family to cdhc?
Or should I forget him and go for a more close relation with picture proof and family tree?
Pls I need any advise from you guys!...cos I've learnt only in this forum neva to give up! Thanks a lot 2 uall!
@justwise pls look into my case and ask any question u dnt understand! I will be here to answer! Thanks They are right to refuse you a visa. You don't just present a bank statement from a family friend as a sponsor and expected to be given a visa. The question is....is that person capable of sponsoring you? Will that money be available for your use in Canada or just bank statement to get a visa then you travel to Canada without the money? What does the sponsor do? Does he earn enough to be able to let go that amount of money? Why does he want to sponsor a distant relative? We are talking about millions here..........these are the questions you should have answered with paper evidences before nursing the feeling of getting a visa. |

philipin7: hi Justwise,
very soon i will be applying for visa but i have a little problem which i hope you would be able to give your advice. My husband is finding it difficult getting all his payslips. He works as a health care assistant in NHS Hospitals and he gets his payslips regularly from them, but the problem is that he does extra shifts for NHS Professionals and doesn't get payslips from them. He has written them and called several times as regards this problem but they just advised he goes online and print copies of the payslips needed.
Can i present payslips printed from NHS Professionals website, will this be acceptable. He has original copies of payslips for his permanent job, its just getting payslips for the extra shifts he does thats the problem.
Please help me out Yes he can use online print-out payslip, only one current payslip will do, he doesn't need to present month-by-month payslip, last month payslip alone will do. |

Danka7777: If you read my comment carefully, I never for once said Iran has the most advanced technology. So kindly read and understand before jumping the gun next time. No one can dispute US as the most advanced in the world. However, keep in mind that most of the U.S technologies came from German scientists captured and pardoned after world war II. I work for a US defense firm(Lockheed Martin), so I know a lot better than you and there some information at my disposal that I know and will not share. All what is being shared here is for educational purposes to foster ingenuity mind demonstrated by Iranians in ourselves. Please do me a favor, don't insult anyone here, make your point respectfully and leave. Makes sense? Let me take it that you are just telling porkies, if you really work for US defense firm and you are here promoting Iranian defense technology then you will be kissing your job goodbye in no distant future if this post is read by 'hawk eyes' |

People employed by good companies are not driving good cars and living in their own houses? *Calm down Cutie* breath in, out* fine!
I was at work on thursday when a text came in, it was from a distant relative's friend. (now, thats really annoying)
This 'distant relative' is from the same village as my mom, not the same family o. She comes to my state of residence occassionally for church things and when she does, I house her for the 3 to 4 days stay. I sincerely dont mind. In one of her visits last year, she came with this woman, introduced her as wife to one of their pastors, ok. We all stayed together until their programme ended. Early this year, the pastor's wife showed up on my 'dormot' with this man she introduced as her husband. Told me they came for a day 'whateva' but that it ended late and they cant go back that evening. The story was they wanted to spend the night. Fine. Fair enough. A night couldnt hurt. I quickly fixed my 'son's' room and relocated him to my room and played. Next morning, they were gone and everybody happy. Fast forward to thursday last week. *too much background story jor, its getting too long and i'm getting angrier* I guess you need to be straight up with them, don't bite your tongue with them anymore |
