The battle for the soul of First Bank continues.
Otudeko and Awosika caucus seems to have gained more ground with the 'removal' of Dr. Adeduntan.
I think Mr Alebiosu will join the Ote caucus esle it'll be very interesting to see what plays out in the coming days with the April 30 deadline by CBN fast approaching.

It's just 19 April 2024, that's about 110 days o/o 366 days.

I personally feel you should allow actual events give credence to what you said. Sending reminders even when none has materialized looks somehow... cool

Wish I sold off my DangSugar wen it went to above N70 and use the fund to buy more Zenith Bank or UBA.
My gut feeling was telling me to do so to increase my dividend income.
With benefit of hindsight, shd ve cashed out and reinvested the money elsewhere.
But the talks here of Dang Food getting to N200 plus held me back.
Not blaming anyone sha.
To worsen things, No dividend from DangSugar.

Access Bank dividend just entered. Will take a few cold beer to console myself.

I forsee a 'JULI' will happen to DANGSUGAR and NASCON in the coming days.

I await DANGSUGAR official statement (if any).

My 1cent, don't sell at a loss. The waiting period only got an indeterminate extension... grin

Commercial Papers are similar to every other credit facility. Are you saying that all the entities of BUA Foods were det free at the time of the merger? I doubt grin

I know it is suspension and not cancellation but the CP has to mature before the merger will take place na.

It's actually two years... Premium Board listing is 3years.

In fact I just confirmed that a brand new business can list if it has evidence of 3 years minimum operating track record of a core investor

Thanks for sharing a construction in progress. One oga here once said you have to submit 5 yrs financial in business to sec as requirements to be listed.i may be wrong.i think is my oga..... Emma

What was the financial submitted to sec for dangota rice that makes one rice equivalent to 14 sugar.I have been asking the question for long.I have not been to jigawa.Any body from jigawa should tell us if dangota rice company is now operational in the state
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 3:19pm On Apr 18, 2024
If I may chip in a few cents...

NASCON and DANGSUGAR are public limited companies. Dangote Rice is private limited company (technically called a private company). Both are limited by the shares held by their shareholders.
A private company is not under any obligation to disclose its financials or business dealings to the public.
Mr. Wale is desperate to delist OandO because he wants to remove the layers of regulations and prying eyes from 'his business'. He could then invite friends and corporate entities to invest

Two very good instance are TRANSPOWER and NNPC limited (which has recently become a private company). There was an FOI request about NNPC's acquisition of OandO retail outlets and OVH Energy that was rejected.

On the bolded, how did TRANSPOWER arrive at their listing price?

It is up to each one to believe whatever they want. However, SEC and the NGX will not have accepted the scheme IF Dangote Rice does not exist. Just like nothing came out of several protests about the coded listing of TRANSPOWER... grin

Streetinvestor2:
Did you open what you shared. In as much as I invested in dangota sugar. I have visited one of its farm in Numan in adamawa state.Dangota rice /paddy is not on ground physical any whr.You post equally confirmed that they have identified land for such purpose in nasarawa.

I had asked for financial of dangota rice before to know how they arrived at 1 dangota rice is equivalent to 14 sugar without financial results
What financial results of dangota rice was submitted to sec.The financial is what you should share and not proposed future business .We have proposed/planed businesses that even came for private placements on stock market that never say the day.
Dangota bought PAN and is still building the plant close to olam in kaduna.
It is obvious that is the rice sector that is holding the merger.
Nascon has come out to make media pronouncements concerning the merger.Pls post the media pronouncements from dangota rice company.

Phones › Re: The Itel A70 Vs Redmi A3: Which Is Better? by KarlTom: 8:50pm On Apr 16, 2024
itel has changed the game.
Dope devices without breaking the bank...

ogugwa1992:
In a world where smartphones seem to be getting more expensive with each new release, finding a device that offers exceptional value without compromising quality can feel daunting. Enter the itel A70, a budget-friendly smartphone that challenges the notion that affordability means sacrificing features and performance. In this article, we explore why the itel A70 stands out as a superior choice compared to the Redmi A3.

The itel A70 is an Affordable Smartphone
First and foremost, let’s talk about affordability. The itel A70 is designed with budget-conscious consumers in mind, offering an unbeatable price point that makes it accessible to a wider audience. With its wallet-friendly price tag, the itel A70 proves that you don’t have to break the bank to own a reliable smartphone packed with essential features.

But affordability alone isn’t enough if the device doesn’t deliver in terms of performance and functionality. Fortunately, the itel A70 doesn’t disappoint in this regard. Powered by a robust quad-core processor and ample RAM, the itel A70 delivers smooth multitasking and responsive performance, whether you’re browsing the web, streaming videos, or playing games.

In comparison, the Redmi A3 may come with a slightly higher price tag, but does it offer significantly better performance to justify the extra cost? Not necessarily. While the Redmi A3 boasts impressive specifications on paper, including a higher resolution display and more powerful processor, real-world performance doesn’t always translate to a noticeable difference in everyday usage.

The itel A70 Has A Better Battery Life
Moreover, the itel A70 excels in the battery department, boasting a large capacity battery that provides all-day power on a single charge. Whether you’re a heavy user who spends hours on social media and gaming or a casual user who simply needs a reliable device to stay connected, the itel A70 has you covered with its long-lasting battery life.

The itel A70 Has A Better Camera
Regarding camera capabilities, the itel A70 holds its own against the competition. Equipped with a dual rear camera setup, including a primary lens and a depth sensor, the itel A70 allows you to capture stunning photos with impressive detail and clarity. Plus, with features like portrait mode and AI scene detection, you can take your photography skills to the next level without breaking the bank.

In conclusion, the itel A70 emerges as a clear winner in the budget smartphone market, offering unbeatable value, reliable performance, and essential features that cater to the needs of today’s consumers. With its affordable price point, impressive battery life, and capable camera system, the itel A70 proves that you don’t have to compromise on quality to stay within budget.
