I think you guys need to read Phillipians 1:16-18. 16The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: 17But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. 18What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. |
Why will a man of God that has forsaken all to follow my saviour Jesus Christ want to have business Ideas? I'm Lost. Please correct me. |
Hmmm, this one na deep one o o o |
Dear All, We need volunteers to propagate the Good Gospel of Christ to as many poeple as we can during their spare time. We intend going to other states and even villages as things begin to unfold and as the spirit leads. As for now,we intend evangelising instrategic areas of Lagos during our spare time. We intend preaching the good news even from state to state as we proceed to hold crusades in various places. We are inter-denominational and are also involved in hospitals and prisons as well as ophanges and remand homes. If you know you have certain gifts which could be useful in the Hospital and Prsions ministries, kindly inform us as we need as many hands as we can lay hold. The harvest is plenty but labourers are few. If you are interested or know anyone who might be interested, kindly contact us by e-mail: penuelministry@yahoo.com www.penuelministries.com (still under construction) OR by mobile phone: 08081333716, 08029959940; Many thanks, God bless you as you join us. |
@Pilgrim.1, Y the .1 sef? Neways, just to let you know that I don't see any where I categorically stated or indirectly inferred that Kuhlman or Maria Woodworth had superior views to that of the bible. I guess u conjured that up. If you weren't sure you should simply have asked me why I want you to read their biographies. Since you didn't ask and even though I indirectly told you, I will state it clearly, I wanted you to read their biographies so that you will know that they cede the ground that there are certain positions in the church not meant for women. Maria was the fore runner of women mounting the pulpit. Kuhlman was the most recent and the most powerful in modern history. Infact, Benny Hynn tailor her pattern as stated in some of his books. I apologise if my tone is harsh or out of place. Had a long day. I know it is a bitter pill to swallow but I didn't write the bible. Why not wait till u get to the white throne then you can throw your question @ Paul or God for allowing that instruction stay in the bible till this age as He had every chance to wipe it out before this time This was the most balanced and well researched write up i could find on the net on this topic, please read it. http://www.opc.org/new_horizons/9601a.html I see no reason trying to place chaos where there is none. The bible is very blunt on this issue and it is same reason why Apostle (ACTS1 :14-end) is reserved for men, so also is the position of Bishop as I don't understand why Paul will say a Bishop must be the husband of one wife if the man there meant a woman as a leader also except Paul was in full support of lebian marriages. Whatever you think, this will be my last contribution to this topic (titus 3:8-11) |
The bible clearly says : Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Galatians 5 vs 19-21 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. I need not tell you about hell as you are already aware of it. |
@ Backslider Hello sir! I can't help but applaud the way you expositorily dealt with this matter by using the bible as your fundamental basis. I do feel with the women in the house, however, I am not the one that wrote the bible and I will rather not do anything extra biblical. I will rather be said to be out of date and defend my conservativeness before God by opening the bible than be modern and not have concrete proofs from the bible other than speculations and assumptions. I don't know what these guys want to see again. It has been clearly spelt out. A woman is not to hold certain positions in the church and that is the end of the story. I will like to refer PILGRIM.1 to the biography of Kathryn Kuhlman with emphasis on how she saw her ministry before God. @PILGRIM.1, Read Kathryn Kuhlman's biography. You can also study Maria Woodworth Etter. |
Hmmmm, DRAMA! I dey OBSERVE. |

Dear sir, Cutting of fingers is not the only way to make blood convenants, sleeping with a woman is already a convenant, disvirgining a woman is also a blood convenant. Ur reasons for breaking up is not genuine and as such it is possible for her threat to come to pass. U need to have an encounter with Jesus. As a child of God, I am prophesying into your life that you shall have this encounter soonest in accordance to the will and mercy of God in Jesus name. You need to give your life to christ, repent of your sins, go to a bible believing church ( i recommend MFM) for a deliverance session. When you are ready for marriage, then do a proper courtship. Remeber JOB 31:1 says: "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl. (NIV) |

@ wanaj0 , u guys are killing me. My belle dey pain me sef. IBTC (Hehehehehe). Seriuosly, i just bought NAHCO, was it wise? |
I know some of you will kill me for starting a new thread but I think a few people like myself need it. Can anyone tell me what shares to buy or propose to buy for the short and medium term. If so can u analyse the risks involved? I am personnally looking at C&I leasing, Mbenefit, GTB and 1st bank which have all fallen due to the bearish markets and which has a 45-55% chances of falling further till late November,2007. Still weighing the P.E ratio against the E.P.S. Any suggestion welcomed. |
As far as I am concerned, IBTC lack the fundamentals for their current market price. They are over valued and as such I am not surpriced. I project they will stabilize at abt N14 by the end of November /early December, 2007. What made M benefit fall so much? the price has been relatively stable for the past 3 months thoough. Can someone please tell me the prospects of this stock rising in the next 3 months? How is the management and do they have any feasible project? What's up with NAHCO,What caused the sudden fall in share price as between 15th May and 16 May, 2007? Pardon my asking, like i said earlier, i have been out of touch. 80.89.183.85 |
Thanks guys, I know about the technical suspension stuff. I was hoping it was not because . . . . Neways, what caused the sudden fall in NAHCO shares btw May 15 and May 16th? |
@ aktopgun n the gurus, What made M benefit fall so much? the price has been relatively stable for the past 3 months thoough. Can someone please tell me the prospects of this stock rising in the next 3 months? How is the management and do they have any feasible project? What's up with NAHCO. i understand they have been on technical suspension which was lifted recently. What caused the sudden fall in share price as btw 15th May and 16 May, 2007? Why were they put on suspension. Pardon my asking, like i said earlier, i have been out of touch. |
As a servant of God, I can't involve myself in certain biz ( brewery ) however, the stock I am looking to invest in but still watching are as :NAHCO, 1ST BANK,GTB,BANK PHB, intercontinental, c & i ( weary but watching carefully) Like i said in an earlier post, I have been away for somew time so I am not really up to speed yet but as for now, these are my pick but my fingers are still crossed. I am trying to get some fundamentals and future prospects so don't take my word for it yet but u can take my instincts. |
Just learnt the these companies just released their results: Afribank Nigeria Plc (year ending 30th september, total turn over 19.48 billion) Evans Medicals Plc (year ending 30th september, total turn over 1.74 billion) UACN Plc (year ending 30th september, total turn over 21.96billion) Eco Bank Transnational INC Poly Products Nigeria Plc Julius Berger Nigeria Plc Authoritative sources say COSTAIN is to float hybrid offer, existing shareholders @ N11 per share and N13 to general public. So watch out. I think it will be a good buy for long term investors but my advise is don't stay too long, cash out as son as u have made considerable profit. Costain is almost a win win stock if you are patient enough say 6 months. |
@ Roughcut, Many thanks. |
Hello Guys, I have been out of the country for long and as such was not privileged to follow things on the floor due to the nature of my job and internet accessibilty while on the job. I am struggling to catch up but what do you guys think abt GTB at current floor price? |
@ GL, Send me a mail and we can talk better. tomitobor@yahoo.com when you send the mail, kindly remind it is about volunteer work in the orphanages. |
@ NUSH, Was that passage you pasted from one of the asian religions like Eckankar and Hindu? @ Topic, Please, you guys are failing to answer Reverends question and why are you guys so particular about Angels? What difference will it make if you see an Angel or not? @ Ndipe, Your faith shouldn't be strenghtened by reading about an angel or angelic activities. This very path you are threading is what brought the Roman catholic church to it's present state and it is what brought errors to the lives of many great men of God. I am not saying you should know more about God's Ministers but rather be very careful so as not to loose focus of Christ. I will say more later. I have to go. |

Interesting discussion, mind you, do you have any church in mind? If so, let us know which. Tanxx |
Telly B, It is normal for people to modify things to suit their own understanding or gratify their very lust hence such prayers against individuals. I don't want to start a discussion on the deliverance ministry. Years back, a lot of people including churches criticized this method of praying against powers but now, a lot of pastors now try to pray similar prayers;why is this so? Simple, because it is working. However, if the very people who are meant to correct this misconception of praying against individuals have misconstrued the whole concept, how then do the sheep know what is right or wrong? Our pastors in MFM are not helping matters so when I see the GO (which is very soon), I will tell him about this propaganda being spread by the pastors so that this issue can be addressed in the next ministers' conference. I apologise on behalf of my overseer for this great misconception. In MFM, we love our enemies but hate the powers backing them. A lot of people have been converted as a result of answered prayers so these wicked people submit to the highest power - CHRIST. Thank you and God bless you. |
Well, in MFM, we don't pray for people to die. We pray against principalities and Powers. However, a lot of people including some of our MFM pastors miss this point. Those who die as a result of our prayers are those who refuse to let go of such powers hence they preffer to perish with it. Tanxx |
You can meet a lot of christians and pastors who has deep convinctions in : www.revivalschool.com Keep your hunger burning, it will yield fruit just as mine did. God is able. |
