Yorubas are divided along religious lines. It often reflects in the voting patterns, with majority of Muslims voting in line with the North, while the Christians vote along with the rest of the South. That's why in the last 2 presidential elections, APC got 55% and 53% votes against PDP's votes of 45% and 47%.

You accuse Igbos online of trying to divide Yorubas forgetting that one of the greatest enemies of Yoruba unity currently is MURIC Chairman, whose only goal in life is to defend Muslim interests at all costs. Was he not one of the most vocal Southerners against Amotekun, when majority of Igbos (including Nnamdi Kanu) were declaring their support for Amotekun?

You come here and talk about Igbos hating Yorubas online as if it's a one way thing. The insults, mockery and attacks have been bidirectional, but because of your hypocrisy (which is normal in most humans), you only notice when Igbos insult Yorubas and not when the reverse happens.

Finally, I need to remind you that what happens on Nairaland isn't a true reflection of reality. Because it's a faceless forum, people come here and say different nonsense just to catch some fun. Even some people who are neither Igbos nor Yorubas say some things just to ignite the fights, then they can stay back and 'enjoy' reading the nasty comments. You need to learn not to take things you read on online forums too seriously.
Igbos may not necessarily like Yorubas, but they also don't hate them. The same applies to Yorubas and most other tribes. People just prefer their own people.

At the peak of Boko Haram violence under Jonathan, things were bad until the government got on top of their game especially before handover. More so, BH then was more focused on killing helpless and armless Nigerians. Now, they are so empowered that they go after soldiers who they slaughter in numbers. It's Fulani herdsmen that kill villagers now.

Also, note that bandits weren't killing people in Jonathan's time. They were only stealing cows from herdsmen but now, they have been armed and go about slaughtering villagers with reckless abandon.

You also need to know that deaths and attacks are under reported in this regime. APC blew the tragedies during Jonathan's tenure out of proportion. They used the media against the government of the day. Now, the government has gagged the media. There is no longer press freedom, so some tragedies that happen these days don't even get reported.

These guys don't even know how to lie. So a BAUCHI Christian will go by the name Nathaniel Samuel. It's absolutely impossible. It's mostly in the South South that you have a few of such people with Christian/English first name and surname.
Most Northern Christians have Islamic sounding names for example, a former president of Christian Medical and Dental Association Students is named Abdulrahman Teasop. Another former president of the same group is Alex Ibrahim Etubi.

The truth is that there are no alternatives in Nigeria. A country with a population of 200m people yet only generates 5k MW of electricity is doomed.
Also, there are no other reliable means of transport. London has a population less than half of Lagos, yet the London tube probably has a higher daily traffic than all Lagos danfo and BRT put together. How can people cope in a mega city without rail service, just how?
Beautifying Lagos isn't as important as making life easier for the people of Lagos.

For your information, Dangote has always been supported by all the recent past governments of Nigeria. He became the richest black man under PDP. It was Obasanjo that strangled Ibeto Cement so that Dangote could enjoy the monopoly he had for years. By the way, there is nothing to celebrate in the government giving cheap forex to the richest man to expand his business and dominance further, while SME owners languish in poverty.

Which is why before Jigawa State was created from Kano State, Kano was slightly more populous than Lagos (on paper). After creation of Jigawa, Kano still remained more populous than Lagos. Today, the combined population of Kano and Jigawa towers above the number credited to Lagos, even though Lagos is probably twice more populous. That's also why they will tell you that a state like Katsina is more populous than Rivers and Jigawa is more than Anambra.
