Misplaced priorities by a government headed by a drunkard. The igbo youths who ought to chastise their leaders and demand for quality leadership are all over the social media monitoring Osun elections and Computer village Iyaloja as if Yoruba affairs has any positive effects on their erosion ravaged region. This same anambra state is almost washed away by erosion but building children's prison is the best Obiano can offer them despite outcries from igbo sons like Joe igbokwe over the impending doom . Zik must be farting in his grave Anambra has been top 2 in WAEC for nearly 10 years now. The state already has enough standard schools, and it will take another 50 years for your state to get to the position that Anambra State is educationally. Did you take note of this part of the article: This is coming barely a week after the National Human Rights Commission raised the alarm that no fewer than 523 children were languishing in various (adult) prisons in the state. If those children are already sentenced and are in adult prisons, isn't it better to build a dedicated facility which will serve as a correctional home for them? You're mocking the governor and the people of Anambra out of complete ignorance. You should open your mind and learn. |

tunderay: You are wrong, the rules as amended didn't allow that. A country can't have more than five representative in the UCL, provided a team that won Europa league finished outside the top 4. In this case, there are only two ways for Arsenal to be in the UCL, either Spurs lost their last match and Arsenal wins or Arsenal wins the Europa league, if not they will play Europa again next season That's like Spurs losing with 4 goals and Arsenal winning with 5 goals. It's just impossible. |

So they should make a choice between Mass wedding of faithfull adults, or immorality leading to massive HIV endemic,... na wa, so much for critical reasoning
. You're hopelessly pathetic!!! Is there more immorality in Nigeria than the US and UK? How many times have you heard of mass weddings in any developed nation? So marriage is now a tool for stopping immorality, not minding whether the men concerned have jobs or the means to take care of homes? Your concern is about stopping immorality while extremely poor families are being set up and many kids are being born who can't be provided for by their so called parents. Have you ever seen it written anywhere that mass marriage is one of the means of HIV control? Are there no standard HIV control strategies anymore? By the way, many HIV positive people who are diagnosed early and are on treatment have far better quality of lives than those poverty ravaged young children who happen to be unfortunate products of the mass weddings. They are the reason why Boko Haram may not end anytime soon. It is better to be surrounded by HIV positive adults than to be surrounded by easy recruits for terrorism. You're a big ignoramus! |

iammo: Disgrace to a money worshiper like you,
Gadafi sponsors wedding same as UAE shieks, no noise, but if its Nigeria hypocrites troop out. US gives food stamps, UK gives weekly stipends to their poor and vulnerable
Mass wedding can help goverment give free HIV test, they can get free.counselling, and the jobless ones can be identified and helped.
Current HIV statistics even shows they have low hiv rate unlike some.others
. Use your sense bro. For a region struggling with millions of out-of-school children, with their young women lacking access to effective contraception, organising mass wedding isn't an achievement. Many of these couples will soon start breeding children they don't have resources to cater for. Marriage isn't compulsory. You mentioned US and UK forgetting that many of their citizens aren't interested in getting married and also all their young women in their reproductive years have adequate access to effective contraception. Their citizens who are on benefits are usually those who don't have jobs (usually the elderly and infirm, but also some able bodied young people who have refused to work). They are able to have people on benefits cos they are wealthy countries and can afford to give their citizens free money. Is Nigeria anything close? Nobody is talking about HIV rate here. You don't need wedding plans/ceremony for people to do HIV test. With adequate enlightenment, more young people can be encouraged to go and get tested. Government also doesn't need mass weddings to make HIV testing free. Mass weddings will make fighting poverty very difficult, which is one of the major things that fuel terrorism and banditry. |

Once I pass clearance at the airport. I place my bag at the sealing machine and seal it. I can't shout.
Imagine landing and they open your bags and it's full of drugs. You will look for stammer but wont find.
Seal your bag once checked at the airport in Naija. Abroad, no one opens your bag except the scan picks up something strange.
If you know nothing strange in your bag and kg is okay. Seal the bag from home. I really don't understand some of the points being raised by this issue. 1. Security checks are done before luggages are checked in. I have never had to handle my main luggage again after it has been checked in till the final destination, and once the luggages are picked from the conveyor belt at the destination, there ideally isn't any other security check/scanning. Is there a chance there's such a check when someone lands in Saudi? How do these people get caught at their destinations, if the drugs are in the main luggages? 2. Are the so called airport drug cartel not subject to the normal checks passengers are subjected to when they come to work every morning? How are they able to cross to the luggage loading point with the drugs? 3. I've seen people with sealed luggages, but I didn't take note of where and how they got them sealed. Do they have the sealing machines in every airport? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors Buying Private Jets Won’t Make Heaven – Pastor Giwa by Kennydoc(m): 11:14am On May 03, 2019 |
HigherEd: The jet in itself can never be the problem. With God, intentions really ultimately matters. God cursed Cain for Killing Abel from the wickedness of his heart. That same God vindicated Moses for killing the Egyptian who was oppressing the Israelites.
The Law of God states that "thou shalt not kill" yet David slew thousands and God never said a word. The day David murdered an innocent man and committed adultery, he paid dearly for it. What differentiated all these killings and their varied responses from God was motive.
If a person genuinely in his heart believes that a Private jet amplifies his capacity to preach the gospel then he should go ahead and purchase the jet. The wrong thing would be to buy it to show off or compete or to make such things priority over direct charity. But if you think that private jet in itself is sinful then you are being naive. There's no difference between a private jet and a private car. The same reason a person needs to buy a private car is the same that justifies a private jet purchase.{remember intentions really matters than cost, again, David slaughtered thousands and never got punished, but he killed one man unjustly and paid for it. Buying a bicycle for the wrong reason is in fact worse than buying a private jet for the right reason}
It's amazing but God does not hassle or compete with humans. The bible says in Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them"
Whatever you desire! The bible is making it clear that the desires of his children matters and is only secondary to God's desires... If as a Christian you desire poverty you will get poverty, if you desire wealth you will get wealth... Wow! Fantastic response!! |

HospitalityDiva: This is serious.
However, I disagree with those who say that the demand is higher in Enugu.
Enugu cannot compete with Lagos in terms of demand for China trips. Enugu and surrounding states combined cannot boasts of regular China visitors like those in markets like Alaba, Aspamda, Computer Village, Idumota, Ladipo, Oshodi, Balogun/Nnamdi Azikiwe street, etc.
Except they believe that traders in Lagos travel to Enugu in order to board flights to China.
It only makes sense that to attract patronage, airlines should decrease the cost of their airfare.
And for those who have reduced this discussion to a tribal war, note that the airlines in questions are foreign ones.
My 2 cent tho. Even if we make assumptions for Lagos, Abuja and Kano, does Kaduna also have more travellers to China than Enugu? |

I wonder where people like this are, when we opt for fossils like BuHaRi. Nothing proactive about paying salary on the first day of the month. Many of those workers will have so much money in their hands (about 2 months salary) and think they've arrived, but by the end of this month, all the money is gone. How do you expect them to survive till 3rd or last week of June when they will receive June salary? Crime › Re: Drunk Naval Officer Urinates On His Body In Delta State (Photos, Video) by Kennydoc(m): 4:26pm On May 01, 2019 |
JejeNaija: Was it mentioned he was on duty? Do you know if it was his day off and he was just returning home? Do you know if he was just returning from the north and decided to get himself high just being happy over he has been through and decided to relief himself?
Sometimes we need to think outside the box before making statements about something we just see being presented to us.
Its a different thing entirely if it was well stated that the officer is always see drunk on a daily basis. Not someone you just see for the first time in that situation without even knowing what led to him being in that state.
Its possible he didn't even take more than a bottle of whatever he took and he reacted bad because he is not use to it but just decided to make himself happy for his personal reason but unfortunately it didn't go down well with him.
He is not with a guy or anything that would have shown he could be of harm to anyone. So tell me, what is the benefit of showing him in that state and trying to make him loose his job when he obviously caused no harm or threat to civilian? Bro, he's on uniform. What he's wearing is official uniform. If he was only wearing military camouflage, we would have assumed he could have been travelling or any of the other stuff you mentioned. There is no justification for a military personnel to take alcohol when dressed in military uniform (even if on camou). You said it could have been one bottle. I am sure this is not the very first time he ever took alcohol. He would have known that his head doesn't carry alcohol, the more reason he should run far from alcoholic drinks while wearing military uniform. So you're waiting till the day he causes harm to people before he should be exposed? What if it's you or your loved one that gets involved? Moreover, punishing him will serve as a lesson to all other careless officers who abuse their positions in similar manner, and who may be a threat to other people's lives today or in the future. You see the way you're making excuses for him, that's part of the reasons why Nigeria is in such a mess. We all have learnt to condone a lot of nonsense. In many developed countries for example, a doctor who is caught taking alcohol on duty will definitely lose his job. If he's reported to the Medical Council, he will be removed from the register. This will be done irrespective of how efficient he has been over the years. The Navy man in question may not necessarily be sacked cos it's Nigeria, but I can bet you that after this experience, he will learn his lesson. If he wasn't exposed, he wouldn't have learnt from it. |

delugajackson: Probably died from suffocation as a result of inadequate air in the enclosed car, thereby leading to their subsequent death. Its a pity that people ascribe certain beliefs to avoidable occurences.
Children can be so adventurous. Chances are that they went into that car to play, since it was a spoilt and abandoned one. Not every thing has to be viewed from the prism of superstition, village people or percieved enemies. If they could open the car from outside and enter inside, then I believe one of them would have been able to open d car from inside when they started getting exhausted. Also, would they have been in the car since the search started yesterday and nobody noticed it? I really doubt it. It's possible they were murdered and their corpses brought back at night and dumped inside the car. |

teddyalba: No doubt about that. The section of the armed forces act on drunkeness could even got him jailed. And I'm sure he cant escape this either.
What if some form of drugs had been inserted in his drinks without him knowing? You know some of these guys like free drinks.
But quickly hitting the social media with this is also evil. The owner of that shop whose voice could be identified in the video has not done well either.
The man will lose his job as she promised him and tomorrow same person will be complaining of notorious armed robbers terrorising their streets and homes. Thats what you get when you keep throwing men trained to handle arms to the streets without attempts at saving them from theirselves.
The Regarding the point in bold, a military personnel on uniform has no business with alcohol. In developed countries, if you're caught smelling of alcohol while on the wheels, you'll be banned from driving for a period. You don't even have to be drunk. Same fate applies to medical practitioners, pilots, those operating dangerous machinery etc. If she didn't post it on the social media, how would the man have changed? He will go on and keep getting drunk on duty. One day, he will kill somebody under the influence of alcohol. I'm not saying that I would have done the same thing the lady did if I were in her position, but I won't blame her either. |

JejeNaija: The person who made this video is wrong.
This man might probably have served diligently for many years and probably not so good with alcohol. He may just have tried going beyond his limit just this once and he is in a very harmless situation. So why make a video of it and build a wrong impression around it like he has committed a big crime.
The best thing to do was to assist the man get safely to his home. If we as Nigerians keep creating a negative impression on people just to condemn their acts or mistake, it won't lead us to progress. That mentality should be erased from us as individuals in other to set the progress in motion. A drunk military personnel is a disaster. Same for police officers. That's enough reason to relieve him of his job, whether he is sober or not. It's d same way a doctor can be removed from the medical register in sane countries for being drunk while on duty. |

An example is the type done at Canaan City Ota by Oyedepo. Exactly. These politicians are annoying. They travel abroad and see real development but make no efforts to replicate them. Why can't the NASS by-pass the president and do the needful?. They will never do that because they are one of the major beneficiaries of corruption. PDP will always equal APC and APC equals PDP in my own submission because they are the same set of people putting on the uniforms of different political parties. If the president refuses to assent to it, chances are higher that most APC legislators won't vote in support of it cos it will be seen as going against their party interest which Buhari represents. It will thus be almost impossible to get 2/3 majority votes on it. |
