Westtimeline:You're just a dumb and lazy fella. Put your brain to use and calculate the vote tally of Abiola and Tofa in the link you gave me. I did the calculation by myself. The four SE states gave Tofa a total of 790,371 votes (51.65%) and Abiola had 739,748 votes (48.35%). Do the calculation, and if you get any figure different from what I quoted, I will send you ₦10k tonight. |
Westtimeline:Shut up! Abiola won 48.3% of South East votes and you're talking rubbish. If the South East voted for Tofa the way they voted for Atiku, Abiola wouldn't have smelled the victory. Buhari won because of Northern votes and not your insignificant 53%. Even if you gave 90% of your votes to Atiku, Buhari would still have won. Your votes were worth nothing! A whole ⅓ of the South West states and 47% of South West voters voted for PDP and you're here talking rubbish! Go ahead and deny your tribesmen cos you want to prove a point that doesn't exist. Nonsense!!! |
oduademonest:Why not remind us of the number and percentage of votes SW gave Buhari in 2015 and 2019? 55% for Buhari in 2015 and 53% in 2019 never gave him the victory. The total margin of win of Buhari in the whole SW was less than Atiku's margin of win in Anambra alone. Drop this over-inflated sense of the political importance of your region! |
oduademonest:Anambra voted very well for Abiola, so it wasn't really without us that he won in 1993. Even my home town voted for him then. Obasanjo won in 1999 without the support of the South West. He wasn't SW candidate, even though he's Yoruba. With us (and without core North), Jonathan won in 2011. With us (and without core North), Yar'Adua won in 2007. Buhari is the first president that didn't need our votes to win. |
logon599:Man City might not have beaten them this badly. Also, it's better to lose to Man City than to Watford. Moreover, it will be on record that they are FA Cup 2018/19 runner up. |
Benbelor:Yeah, cos he was making it seem like it was a blessing in disguise for Wolves to lose to Watford in d semi. I think it would have been more honourable for Wolves to lose FA Cup final to Man City and qualify for Europa than to lose the semi final to Watford and still qualify for the same Europa. |
iammo:Time changes things, including perceptions of people, circumstances and events. The same Buhari you hail today jailed many revered former Yoruba leaders. He's a bloody coupist who toppled a democratically elected government. He supported and still praises Abacha today who looted so much funds from Nigeria that 20 years after his death, the country is still recovering his loot. You remember what he did to Abiola, right? These are some of the pedigree of Buhari, but you and your ilk still worship him. You really have no right to point fingers at others. |
donbenie:That's more like 3 inches. 4 inches is 10.16cm. |
donbenie:A quick check showed that Andre the Giant is same height (2.24m), while Gonzalez is just 8cm taller (at 2.32m). That's just one wrestler. Who else? |
lawman88:Anglican priests don't have any restrictions against marriage. As a matter of fact, as an Anglican priest, you must get married within a few years of your ordination. These ones are gay priests. |
donbenie:Can you name them please? |
Daeylar:Thanks a lot. I also wish you the very best in your relationship, whatever state you're in now. May you experience many decades of bliss for the rest of your life. |
SmartestG:That's just the perfect description. |
Daeylar:My dear, it was miraculous. I fervently prayed about it cos I had got to a point where I just didn't have any idea how it was going to work out anymore. Within those few days after I met her, I was deeply convinced in my spirit that she was the one. For the first time in my life, I had absolute rest in my spirit regarding my relationship. She ticked ALL my boxes and added more ticked boxes alongside. Thanks for rejoicing with me. |
Nnaabros:Well, I wasn't attracted to her cos of her looks. Within those 4 - 16 days, my spirit connected fully with hers. I knew her enough within that 1st week to realise that the most important things I needed in a woman were resident in her. I knew she was everything I wanted. She wasn't the most beautiful girl I had seen, but her personality and the entirety of her being was perfect for me. You can argue that I hadn't known her well enough, that's true. It was probably a risk I took, but it worked out perfectly. After 16 months, I still feel as strongly about her as I felt from the very first week. |
Toks2008:Adviseasister, I think this is an apt advice for you. If the guy truly loves and values you, he'll never dump you like that. I started my relationship with my fiancée more or less the way yours started, in similar circumstances. The only difference is that we met on Facebook. It's been over 15 months, yet I can't go more than a day without at least chatting with her, except we both agreed on it for a particular reason. Despite the fact that she benefits from me much more than I can ever benefit from her (for now), I still Iove her beyond words. I can't even imagine being separated from her. If she goes silent for a whole day, I won't let her rest till she tells me what's wrong. If the guy no longer communicates with you, then he has lost interest. It may be temporary or permanent. The only modification I want to make to the advice I quoted is that you should try and discuss with him, if you haven't done so yet. If he doesn't grant you audience, then go ahead and ignore him. I know it's difficult, but you can do it. If I were you, I will delete all his contacts from my phone and move on with my life. If he comes back, well and good but if he doesn't, life goes on. It's painful to lose a relationship with someone you love very much, especially someone who lives abroad (in ur case), but nothing says you won't get a much better guy soon. |
Nnaabros:Don't say much about this cos you truly don't understand. I met my fiancée on Facebook and fell in love with her within 4 days. Within 16 days, I asked her out and she accepted. We still hadn't seen face to face. We were and still are in different countries and continents. We finally met 9 months later and got engaged. I can tell you categorically that she's the most amazing friend and partner I've ever had. I've had a previous relationship that lasted 3½ years, I have equally had a number of female friends in the past, but my fiancée beats them all hands down. I am talking from a personal experience. |
This is serious mehn. How could his brain accommodate the rigours of MSc programme? |
elvhinzey:Whoever tells you nursing is better either doesn't like you or is ignorant. Pharmacy is probably the best among all medical jobs. Nurses are highly underpaid everywhere (in Nigeria), and Bsc nurses aren't left out. Even in hospitals, pharmacist earn slightly higher than nurses. Pharmacists also have the opportunity to work in pharmaceutical and research industries. They can also work as drug reps, and believe me, many drugs reps make a whole lot of money, much more than most nurses can ever make in their life time. When tired of being employed, most pharmacists open pharmacies, where they can even practice some bit of clinical pharmacy. Some go on to start importing drugs with time, and can go further into drug manufacturing. |
Toks2008:But Aaron died before Moses, so how come your Aaron will continue from where your Moses will stop? |
kalvoken:Saudi Arabia is a kingdom ruled by a king who is their head of state. They don't have a president. All the traditional rulers you mentioned aren't head of state of any countries. |
critic007:Thanks bro, I appreciate. God bless you. |
datigbogirl:So Psychiatry posting made you dump your belief in God? It's a pity. Unfortunately, you never knew God genuinely, and that's why you were easily swayed. It's okay to call it a delusion. As long as I'm enjoying the experience, that's all that matters. You can spend your money on hoes and booze since it gives you pleasure. It's your choice, same way it's my choice to drop mine in church. Hoes and booze can't give me pleasure, rather they will make me depressed and hopeless if I ever tow that line. So I spend mine on what gives me pleasure and fulfilment which is in the service of God. Being a Christian hasn't made my life less meaningful than yours. While my belief may be repulsive to you and yours seems to you like the right way, the reverse applies to me. I'm comfortable 'wasting' my money like that, and I will keep doing it as long as I live. I don't give to the church for them to give back to the society. I give to the church cos that is where I belong. It's my home. When I give to my siblings, I do that cos they are my family. I want them to be comfortable. That's how giving to the church is for me. |
datigbogirl:You see, this is where you get it wrong. The point in bold isn't why I go to church. I can read about them in the Bible. There is more to it, for me. Going to church on Sunday is as important to me as going to night club on Friday is to many young people. I love going to worship God (not just on Sundays) cos it makes me feel refreshed. I simply love the experience, just like you may love partying, dancing etc. You lots talk about helping the poor as if most of you are doing it. Most of the people who don't pay their tithe equally don't help the poor. So many rich people out there who don't care about the poor and downtrodden around them, but once tithe is mentioned, you all remember the poor. Less than half of Nigerian Christians pay their tithe regularly. If you equate that to the total number of Nigerian adults, then I can bet you that less than 20% of Nigerian adults pay their tithe. What about the rest 80% or more? How come they aren't helping the poor and transforming the society? If those 80% were doing what you're suggesting we do with our tithes, Nigeria would have been much better. To make it easier for you to understand, compare the Muslim Core North where tithe paying Christians may be as low as only 1% of their total population to the South East where there may be up to 30-40% tithe payers. Are the Northerners better than the South Easterners in terms of helping the poor? But you see, when you find it difficult to give to God, you will also be unable to make sacrifices for others. I agree there are many atheists that give to the society, but the average tithe-paying Christian is more likely to give to the needy after paying his tithe, than the person who doesn't believe in paying of tithe. As regards misusing my money, there you get it wrong again. I don't drink, I don't smoke and I don't womanise. The fact that I don't engage in those activities means I'm able to save more money than anybody earning exactly what I earn but engages in them. Many of such people spend up to 10% of their monthly earnings on such leisures. Apart from these, there are other activities I could have been doing which will cost me some good deal of money. What if I've decided to use Sunday worship as my leisure and spend that money in church? So you see, someone else spends his money on expensive drinks and on women, while I spend mine in church. To you I've misused my money but to me, the guy spending on women and drinks has misused his. At the end, I come out healthier, saner and without as much emotional baggages as such people. I don't expect you to understand cos you're an atheist. It won't make sense to you. It's the same way nothing will make sense to me if I hear people communicating in Chinese language. My ears aren't tuned to interpret the language, same way your spirit isn't tuned to appreciate what I am saying. Hopefully, you will encounter Christ someday. |
datigbogirl:It's alright. I clearly understand the angle you're coming from. I give my tithe today cos my church really needs it. All the funds needed to run the church come from tithes and offerings, and believe me, it will be difficult for my church to pull through if a couple more faithful tithers quit. The number already dropped in 2018 compared to 2017, and it hasn't been easy. My pastor has no access to the church funds, so why should I be bothered thinking about one man eating the money? I am not among those who believe that paying of tithe in church is the most important thing a Christian should do. You can pay all the tithe, yet still be considered a sinner before God, if you're living in immorality and other forms of ungodliness as we see in today's church. The new covenant believer in God is expected to offer his entire life (including possessions) to God as a sacrifice, which means that even if God wants you to give 100% of your earnings, you shouldn't struggle with it. God is not keen on 10% anymore, he desires to be completely in charge of our entire lives not just money. I cherish helping people in need. It's a passion for me, and I often try to maximise every such opportunity. That said, I still give my tithe. I've always belonged to churches where I am well nourished spiritually, so I feel glad giving my tithe to them. If for example you live in a society where taxes are judiciously used, you won't feel very bad paying your tax no matter how big it is. Likewise, if you're in an expensive school where you're very well taught and exposed to modern ideas, you won't feel too bad about how much you pay in fees. That's how it is for me when I pay my tithe to a church where my pastors are sound. I don't regret it especially when I know they aren't misusing it. Take good care of yourself. |
datigbogirl:Thanks for your concern. By the grace of God, I can afford 15 or more of exactly that same car today, so I no longer feel bad that I couldn't find it. Even the various freewill support I've given to family, friends and strangers since that time can buy 2-3 of the same car if I kept the support to myself. So as you can see, my tithes aren't a waste as you may think. Even if they're a waste, I am content with what I have left after giving the tithe monthly. You don't have to believe what I just said, as you're entitled to whatever you choose to believe. I'm also not under any obligation to prove anything to you. Have a lovely day. Cheers. |
LuciferPreeq:His wedding was supposed to hold less than 3 weeks ago. What happened? Why wasn't it held? If you claim it was held, where is his wife in all these news? If he couldn't afford house rent, how come he was planning to get married? Can a man who can't afford to house himself alone be planning a wedding? How would he have funded a wedding if he can't pay house rent? He could have rented a room for 100-200k in Kubwa. How much would it cost to hold a wedding? His father is a pastor (as we can see from his wedding IV), so he probably feeds fat on the tithes of members and rides private jet, like you folks want the world to believe. How come his private jet-riding pastor dad couldn't help him with his house rent? |
datigbogirl:Find keh... I've already considered it a burnt offering. ![]() |
iammo:ECOWAS passport gives people free access to all West African countries. Do you need visa to go to Ghana? Same will apply to Biafran and Nigerian (Oduduwa and Arewa) citizens. |
iammo:You just can't do without tribal slurs. The more you guys act like this, the more I am motivated for Biafra to be born. We will at least build our own capital city, have our own embassies, functional international airports, sea/river ports etc. We will manage our economy by ourselves and stop depending on your Lagos. |
