asuustrike1:It is actually impossible, not rare. The lecturer obviously didn't impart any knowledge and went ahead to set questions beyond the scope of what he taught. I had an E in this course in UNILAG many years ago. By the following year when I got into UNIBEN, I made an A in the same course. That shows that there was an issue with either the UNILAG lectures for the course or their exams or both. |
Awol1:Niger Republic has never been part of Commonwealth. The incident you were referring to was about OAU (now AU) not Commonwealth. |
omenkaLives:South East has always had alliance with the North since 1960. It's only that the alliance has always been on a platform better than APC. Remember Tafawa Balewa and Zik, Shehu Shagari and Ekwueme... These were all before PDP assumed power in 1999, and you well know the SE/SS had a very strong alliance with the North under PDP. The good thing about PDP is that every region was carried along. Even as at 2007 when most of the SW states were won by Tinubu's AC, PDP still zoned the Speaker position to the South West. Every other geopolitical zone had at least one key government official. The only time SW was left out was in 2011 when they sold the Speaker slot to the NW which already had VP. |
Who is the IT staff and what's her name? |
So Reno is telling us that he has ascended Mt Everest? How come he couldn't take a selfie? This is pure lies! No Nigerian has climbed Mt Everest before. Not one. Reno doesn't even have the stamina, except he was dropped off there by a helicopter. May God deliver Leah Sharibu, in Jesus name, Amen. |
hayzed1090:If wearing of hijab is a tenet of Islam, how many highly placed and politically inclined Muslim women and their daughters wear it all the time? We can start from Aisha Buhari and her daughters and run through the Nigerian political elite women. Yes, it might not be a cultural thing only in Saudi Arabia. Many other Arab countries have similar cultures, but it's completely un-Nigerian and un-African. |
helinues:When Borno leaders accused Ihejirika of bombing innocent people in Baga (or is it Bama), you and your people were hailing them and accusing Ihejirika, even threatening that he'll be sent to ICC at the end of his tenure. If not for that opposition against Ihejirika, Boko Haram would have been badly decimated. Even your beloved Buhari said, "an attack against BH is an attack against the North". Today, you call for the arrest of an emir who is crying out that innocent people are being killed. What if he's right? I remember how the NAF 'mistakenly' bombed an IDP camp 2 years ago which led to the loss of many IDPs. Was anyone punished for that 'error' till today? You guys are stinking hypocrites. |
1Sharon:But MURIC will tell us that when a Muslim woman is denied the opportunity of wearing her hijab, it's as if she's been forced naked. There's no Nigerian culture that has wearing hijab as part of it. It was strictly borrowed from Saudi Arabia and in Saudi, it's a culture for them not necessarily a tenet of Islam. So why do Nigerian Muslims make so much noise about the hijab thing? |
Mr2wealth:Look at how beautifully they are dressed. They just covered their heads and necks but still look lovely. Their Nigerian counterparts will wear those annoying black, grey and variously coloured hijabs with some even covering their faces and hands, yet many don't look half as beautiful as these ones. Are those hijab-fighting Nigerian Muslim ladies more Muslim than these Sudanese ones? |
jidxin:Bonny is an island |
hisexcellency34:Please lie with ease. |
julius976:What is the essence of that act, and why should Adeboye do it? |
mightyhaze:I really don't know the essence of making cars that can travel at such mind boggling speeds when the users can never go on such speeds. In the UK for example, the maximum speed any vehicle can go on the motor way is 70mph. I don't know what it is in Russia. |
Femeto:Is he working in an office? Is there a dress code for taxi driving that he's flaunting? As long as the Uber drivers are decently dressed, there shouldn't be any problem, except you are saying that wearing shorts makes someone look indecent. By the way, I have seen a lady wear bum shorts to an airport and join a flight. |
Honor10:Ekwueme contested for PDP primaries and lost to Obasanjo cos the PDP hierarchy (especially those from the North) had agreed to zone the presidency to SW cos of Abiola. Who did Obasanjo contest against in the main election? Was it not a Yoruba man? How come nobody else from any other region came out to contest? We all know that if the North wanted to remain in power, they would have formed another party in that 1998 to contest the 1999 elections, since PDP decided to zone their presidency to SW. |
eagleeye2:That's ONLY if there's no Northerner in that contest, but I can assure you that apart from 1999 where both contestants were from the SW because they were being compensated over Abiola factor, there will NEVER be any other presidential election in which a popular northerner won't contest. You can take that to the bank. The disunity of the South has given the North perpetual presidency on a platter. |
eagleeye2:The statement in bold is not true. A Nigerian president must win 25% in at least ⅔ of the states plus FCT, which makes it 25 states. It means that if a president fails to get up to 25% of the votes cast in each of the SE and SS states, but wins the simple majority of the votes, he will still be declared president. SE/SS have 11 states which a presidential hopeful can safely lose and still win the election, as long as he can win a simple majority of the votes. I'm from the SE by the way, and I detest anything associated with APC. |
Bantino:Yet some of the people that insult Abians because of their bad roads are people from Ogun State claiming Lagos. I can bet you that apart from parts of Enugu – Onitsha Expressway (which is a federal road), no state road in Anambra State looks like this. |
Giddy11513:The fine included his rent arrears. It could have been a €2k per month apartment, and maybe it had been 3 months since he left before the landlord realised he had moved out without notifying him. |
IamD18: ![]() Just like GoTV that will always start his posts with "...as a born again Christian...", yet his views are always bigoted against Christianity. |
ntyce:Stop commenting on things you have no knowledge of, please. So you think access is a problem for Igbo men? Were you the one that made or gave them access to the bombs they used during the civil war over 50 years ago? The fact is that IPOB guys only want Biafra to separate from Nigeria. They don't want violence cos it will cripple their businesses. Most of them are business men. They want their own country. They are just like Catalonians (in Spain) and Kurdistans (in Iraq). |
sarrki:Oga, this is North Central talking. They gave far more votes to Buhari than your region did. Stop being insensitive cos you're the one benefitting. Always put yourself in other people's shoes. |
Bolustical:Lagos to Ibadan is part of the Lagos to Kano standard gauge project initiated by PDP. Jonathan did the Abuja to Kaduna section. He signed the Lagos to Ibadan section, but couldn't initiate it cos Abuja to Kaduna wasn't completed yet. Buhari's government completed Abuja to Kaduna and obviously had to initiate Lagos to Ibadan. The way Jonathan couldn't finish Abuja to Kaduna before the expiration of his tenure is the same way Buhari hasn't finished Lagos to Ibadan in this tenure, even though they ran ahead to commission it for campaign purposes. Assuming Buhari lost, the next president would have had to finish it, and then commence the next section of the project, probably Kaduna to Kano or Ibadan to Abuja. |
priceaction:Taking loans don't increase the strength of an economy. If anything, the converse is even the case. Most African countries are already overburdened with debt, and that's part of why they are very poor economically. Yes, they should name African countries cos that's where the most hopeless nations of the world are. At the moment, there are more than 3-4 times extremely poor people in subsaharan Africa than the rest of the world put together. |
EdenH:Stop this! They didn't vote for Buhari and El-Rufai. These are Southern Kaduna people. By the way, the people killed in Anambra also voted for the terrorist? |
uchefefe:Well, my emphasis is actually on Nigerian languages. If any of the major languages in Nigeria was the country's lingua franca, they would have had a greater worth. If Nigeria breaks up and Northern Nigeria becomes a a Republic (Arewa), I can bet you that Hausa Language will gain more prominence. Same can be said about Yoruba and Igbo languages. Apart from Swahili, Afrikaans is another African language that has some international recognition cos it's used very frequently in South Africa alongside English language. |
SmallSimba:Lol. There are international languages and African local languages. A language that cannot open doors for you in the international scene is truly inferior. Imagine me now wanting to learn another language and I decide to learn a second Nigerian language. E no make sense na. I can however learn French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese etc. |
superlanny:What kind of stupid statement did you make in bold there? Rare intelligent Igbos? How can you say intelligent Igbos are rare? Which tribe has more geniuses in Nigeria at the moment? |
uchefefe:I really feel for you. You passionately desire to learn but nobody to teach you. I wish I was in ur dad's position. I have cousins who were born and raised in the US. They are in their 20s now, and basically know nothing about Igbo language. I have promised myself that my children must learn the language when they are growing up. That's one of the reasons I insisted I must date and marry an Igbo woman, because Igbo Language must be the lingua franca of our home. It will be much easier to raise ur children to speak Igbo if your wife is Igbo and is willing to speak d same language with you to the kids. I have a friend who grew up in a family where both parents had different native tongues, and the parents decided they must never communicate with them in native languages to avoid causing conflict and misunderstanding in the family. Your wife may not feel comfortable if you're speaking Igbo to your sons and she's left out of whatever is being said. Apart from that, since you won't always be with the kids, how much can you really teach them when they will spend most of the growing time with their mum (talking about the commonest situation seen in most homes)? |
Bolustical:PDP hasn't ruled Borno and Yobe too. Lagos is strategically positioned to be great, Tinubu or not. These are some of the reasons: 1. It's a coastal city with deep sea ports which can accommodate large vessels. It's ports have been servicing the entire nation for decades. 2. It's the most populated city in Africa. Investments therefore naturally get to it first before any other location in Nigeria. 3. It's a former federal capital territory and had a lot of federal investments in it, which set a template for further development. The truth is that the success of Lagos is not a function of Yorubas. If any other tribe had owned Lagos, it would still have been this successful. Take a look at Abuja for example. Even without sea ports and other economic potentials, Abuja is growing in leaps and bounds, in real estate and in population. In d next few decades, can we turn around and attribute the success of Abuja to Gbagyi people? Ibadan is the headquarters of Yoruba land and culture. That is a city built and sustained only by Yorubas. Any success made by Ibadan is strictly due to Yorubas. As for Lagos, it's a completely different story. You can call me IPOB or any other name you deem fit, it doesn't matter. I am being very sincere and objective here. |
castrol180:I am sure Principles of Management was part of their course outline. Whoever studied the topic would be able to answer the question whether they are football lovers or not. |
