EsotericMonk: @thesicilian, @kennydoc @cromcruach91 and other medics here, are you really gonna hang your hippocratic brother out to dry? Pls let's verify first from your state ARD excos (as by now they should have been briefed) as per the true story before we make firm comments on the matter. You know whatever you say would be swallowed hook & line by the non-medics. By the way @kennydoc, on a lighter note, shey you also know that in the western world, such comments as you have put up can land you in trouble. There are strick social media guidelines for doctors, especially as it concerns sensitive topics like this I understand your point bro. My comment was simply based on the doctor's confession thus: The accused doctor, in the course of interrogation at the Emir’s palace, was said to have admitted that he only hugged Fatima and rubbed his body against hers It was very wrong of him to invite an underage girl (who happened to be his patient's relative) to a solitary place and hug and smooch her. He said he rubbed his body against hers. I can almost beat my chest that it was his pr*ck he rubbed on her (probably her genitals). I am saying this with the assumption that he actually didn't have sex with her. As per my social media comment, well I haven't breached any confidentiality here. I made a comment based on the info I got from the case I read about. Moreover, this is Nairaland not Facebook. I am more careful when writing on Facebook. Not saying I cannot be tracked on Nairaland, but that will be for very serious comments, and it can't be done by just anybody. |

Cromcruach91: 1. How do you know you cannot be luring someone into an office and be raping her? This your assumption get k-leg. Sexual abuse does not work the way you think it does.
2.So, the doctor should be hugging a young lady in his office...just like that? Dude...am a doctor, have comforted many patients...but I have never hugged a girl alone in my office. I don't even do hugs.
3.Yes, we doctors are humans....but we need to be professional. For hugging even an adult in the western world against their wish, a doctor can be charged for assault, how much more a child. That guy is a shame to the medical profession. |

omohayek: You've long been notorious on these forums for your extreme ethnocentrism and runaway inferiority complex, and usually I wouldn't bother to even read - let alone respond - to the hate-inflected drivel you're prone to spitting out, but this time I'll make an exception: the Lagos you spend so much time obsessing over was already by far the wealthiest part of the country before Nigeria even existed as a single country, which in turn was well before the British and their accompanying missionaries had made significant inroads into your part of the south-east.
All this self-congratulatory rubbish you've written here cannot gainsay the fact that Lagos was by the 1880s so valuable to the British that it was to protect its trade with the south-western interior that they even bothered to create a colony of "Southern Nigeria" in the first place. Igbo mass migration to Lagos only began in the 1920s, many decades after it had become a flourishing city of trade, education and industry, so even in that respect you and your ilk reverse cause and effect - it was the already extant prosperity of the city that drew - and continues to draw - Igbos to it, rather than any particular contributions of theirs setting it apart. As for the idea that SS (not SE) oil money "developed" Lagos, one would have to be ignorant enough to think the place was "undeveloped" until 1970 to swallow such manifest nonsense - but here you and your bandwagon of ignoramuses clearly qualify.
The notion that funds from the much poorer northern and south-eastern parts of Nigeria ever played a meaningful role in "developing" a place which had always been worth more than the rest of the country is rubbish from start to finish, cooked up in the ignorant brains of people whose inferiority complexes cannot allow them to absorb indisputable facts that are trivial to confirm with a simple Google search or two. Or you might even consult a professional history of Nigeria or two, such as the ones by Richard Bourne or Toyin Falola; but who am I kidding? The desire to seek out objective knowledge is totally foreign to the likes of tribal chest-beaters like you, who would rather believe and propagate nonsensical lies that happen to bolster their fragile sense of self-worth. You have a point but it isn't really like that. Benin City saw civilization long before Lagos and any other part of Nigeria because of their early contact with the Portuguese. Today, Benin is just an ancient City with old, brown roofed buildings. In terms of infrastructure and modernization, you cannot compare Benin with Enugu. I am saying this to let you know that without Lagos being the capital city of Nigeria after our independence, it wouldn't have attained half of the status it has today. I am not in any way saying that Igbos or any other tribe built Lagos, but the point still remains that the massive advancement of Lagos has Nigeria (not Yoruba) written all over it. |

kabrud: Is that why the Senate rejected his confirmation? Did the Senate tell you this? Okay, based on the assumption that he is being controlled by Buhari not to chase these people you mentioned, what tells you that the next person Buhari will appoint and be comfirmed by the Senate will disregard Buhari’s instructions and go after them? The Senate simply reject him for their selfish political reason, not because he did not go after any NIA or SGF. Asking why everybody is not being investigated at the same time is simply a way of being unhappy with the case already being investigated on stolen money that a dime was not paid into my account. Let them investigate the ones they can, next govt can go after the percieved sacred cows. I'm not saying it's because of SGF and NIA. The DSS has a case against Magu, and that's why he wasn't confirmed by Senate, not because of fear of prosecuting any National Assembly member. Remember that EFCC hasn't successfully prosecuted anybody since 2015. Remember that. |

The big question now is; what exactly stops them confirming him? And a person like you will be making noise about corruption-free Nigeria, but here you are, trying to justify the action of nass against Magu for one funny inexplicable reason. Is it because it is not about you alone?
I sincerely pray everyone gets exactly what he/she wishes for Nigeria in his or her house. What has the Magu done about the corruption cases hanging on the necks of the present officials including former SGF, former NIA boss? |

Even common animals give their parents regards no matter what. I live with some of them in Lagos here and I sincerely say that the situation needs urgent arrest. one Igbo guy just packed out of the parents house because they rebuke him for not serious with his education. This is a secondary school students for God sake. just and see how they will crucify me here for telling them the truth. Igbo parents need to change their orientation on bringing up children. They are too weak in that area Shove your advise into your.... (you know where). Almost everyday, we are burdened with news of ritual killings in the SW esp Ogun State. Christianity Etc › Re: Deeper Life Church Builds Park And Bridge In Lagos (Photos) by Kennydoc(m): 5:53pm On Feb 28, 2018 |
ProjectNaija: It's really wrong and dishonest to claim that deeper life donated a car park and bridge to the public as the car park is not open to the public but strictly for their private use in their new church head quarters building. The truth is that the church did not even have any plans to build this car park till it was imposed on them by governor Fashola as a precondition for allowing them to open and operate from the premises. The truth is that building approval should never have been given to a church of that size (40,000) capacity in a residential area because of traffic considerations but somehow they got it. Along the line when residents of the area(i am one) saw how big the structure was and the implications for traffic, some of us petitioned the then governor of Lagos state(Fashola) and Fashola came personally to inspect the site. It was then he gave them the condition of providing adequate parking and an alternative route(bridge) as a precondition for allowing them to open the church. The church had no concerns about the traffic problems their being there would cause neither did they care and if not for Fashola they would have gone ahead to open the church years ago not giving a damn about the horrendous traffic a church of the size will cause in a residential area. For them to spin it round and give an impression that they are donating something to the public is damn right nauseating. They built because it was imposed on them and for their own selfish reasons. Good info. But then, did you read any official notice from the church stating that they donated a park and bridge to Lagos State out of their own freewill? Did the church say anything by themselves regarding why the facilities were built? Why are you then accusing them? |

Forget about religion, we all know she made a very good point, let's be truthful and sincere.
But, the problem about the idea lies on women.
Most women will prefer their husband to cheat, than to share the same house with another wife, they don't like sharing pot of soup Based on the last census, there are slightly more men than women. If each man marries 4, where will the women for younger ones to marry come from? Have you also considered the effect on the population growth? By the time each woman has only 2 children, how many will be in the family? Can Nigeria handle that population explosion? And who said polygamists don't cheat? Many alhajis that have 3 or more wives still have other mistresses. |

And now we have IVF which can be used to reduce the risks.
Still, the man should have told the truth Normal IVF is expensive and doesn't even guarantee pregnancy (beyond a chance of 50%). I know a lady who got pregnant naturally the first time after her wedding. When the child was less than 2 years, she tried IVF simply because she wanted to have twins. That IVF failed woefully. Secondly, normal IVF alone cannot be used to screen out sickle cell embryos. You need to add what is called PGD (preimplantation genetic diagnosis). PGD is extremely expensive, and is only done in a few centres in Nigeria. Despite the cost, the pregnancy might still fail. Why go thru all this stress to avoid something that would have been avoided for free? |

Why is Freeze so pained? Is it his money? Someone like him won't complain when people spend tens or hundreds of thousands to attend shows. He won't complain when people give out hundreds of thousands to their girlfriends, but when the same people give out 50k to the church, he starts crying all over social media.
