uba1991:Which vice president? Do vice presidents have any reasonable say in what happens in Nigeria? I hope you will be happy for us to credit Osinbajo with the annihilation of Middle Belt Christians within the 4 years of his vice presidency. GEJ's presidency started in May 2010, but his real tenure started in 2011. I guess he was carried away by the desire to contest and win 2011 election that he couldn't really do much in 2010. His fault though. Remodelling is quite an extensive term. It involves a whole lot of construction works including building of new terminal buildings. Go to Abuja Airport and see the massive construction of New terminal which was initiated by GEJ's administration. Even this Buhari's tenure will end and the project will still be ongoing. The PH airport project is part of the whole remodelling of FG airports started when Stella Oduah was minister of aviation. They obviously didn't finish the work, but they actually initiated something. Which one has Buhari started? As per finishing, it's obvious Buhari's administration won't even complete the PH Airport project, so what's your point really? It's only those who are lacking in sound reasoning that resort to using insultive words when engaging in an argument. You don't quote me and start calling me a fool. Anyway, I won't return that gesture to you. I'll simply jump and pass. If you can't avoid name calling, please don't quote me again. |
kcmichael:Rubbish! GEJ's government started and completed the remodelling of several airports in less than 4 years. Buhari has done 3 years already, and there is no chance this PH airport will be completed even in another 3 years. Who is the failure here? |
MademoiselleMiel:Exactly! Who posted this on social media? Try this in Europe and that pathologist will be suspended from practice or delisted from the medical register. It's grossly unethical to share this. |
lanre316:I'm sorry but there isn't. Moreover, I'm no longer in close touch with the facility. Thank you. |
Miakellz:I'm sorry, but I don't work there anymore. I may not be in a position to facilitate it for you. |
Neyoor:Okun is yet to produce a governor same way Ebira would never have produced a governor even in a thousand years, if not for Audu's death. Igalas have the population and would rather have Okun rule Kogi than Ebira. As a matter of fact, it will be near impossible for another Ebira man to rule Kogi after this mess Bello has made of governance. Yahaya Bello never deserved that seat, and that's why he doesn't value it. |
fallout87:Only that Igala people will not allow another non-Igala man in their government house, at least not so soon. |
Preshy561:Let me share a little personal experience with you. I once dated a girl who never cooked anytime I went to her house. Her only attempt at cooking for me was the day she fried plantain and yam. That day, I volunteered to assist her in the kitchen. I washed dishes for her (obviously, I wasn't her slave). This same girl came to my house a number of times. During those visits, I will prepare food for both of us to eat, and thereafter, she will be pressing her phone while I go and wash off the dishes. This happened for about 4 or 5 times, I didn't talk. Finally, when I couldn't take it again, I complained about her attitude, and she took offence. A host of other things happened and at the end, I realised it was an error being with her. I called it quits in just 2 months. My only regret is why I even started off with her. If you love someone, assisting them in tasks you can carry out wouldn't be a burden. One of the 5 love languages is acts of service. That is one of the ways you win the heart of someone you love. You 'serve' (assist, help, carry out tasks) not because you're a slave but because you love. |
johnmartus:So if you were in his position, you won't put your bank? Just be reasonable joor. This isn't corruption, cos Zenith Bank merits it. I'm sure if an open and competitive bidding was allowed for the banks, Zenith would still get it. Even if Zenith doesn't merit it, it would have been stupid of Emefiele to deny his bank that opportunity because he's forming what I don't know. |
The driver was stupid and reckless. How could you be driving a heavy duty vehicle like a tanker filled with petrol, and you're doing fast and furious on Nigerian road? Who does that? Even if the soldiers were going to shoot him if they caught him, he shouldn't have attempted to run with a loaded fuel tanker, he should never have! This is terribly sad. Now, innocent people have paid for his foolishness. I think it's time FRSC begins doing proper mental health assessment for all heavy duty vehicle drivers. They shouldn't be treated as any other drivers cos many lives are in their hands once they are on the roads. |
bigjoe1000:It's not necessarily about showing off. The same people that are celebrating her will flood all her social media accounts and mock her till she can't take it anymore. Don't you know it will be a very big source of joy to many girls if Davido dumps her? |
I pity this Chioma girl for what will happen to her if or when David dumps her. The cyber bullying she will experience will be worse than terrorist attack. |
Niyinficient:Which Airline? Air Peace is one of the most organised local airlines presently. The article clearly says he missed his flight. Whose fault is it? Do other Airlines refund people when they miss their flights? |
jagorinho:Rubbish! Hope you know that the 2nd and third largest economies in the world are in the East ie China and Japan. Do I also need to remind you that South Korea, Singapore and Australia are in the Eastern world, even though Australia is regarded as the west cos its similar in culture and lifestyle to the UK and Canada? Talking about undeveloped local government areas, can you mention the developed places you have in Ondo, Osun, Ekiti states? Apart from Ibadan, where else in the entire Oyo state is developed? Many of you Yorubas are pathetic online. Everything you can boast of is all about Lagos. As for trooping to Lagos, let the country be restructured first. Let us get our own seaport (or at least one in the south south), Standard International Airport, Embassies etc and let's see if the number of Igbos living in Lagos won't be cut down. |
GuyfawkesAB:Oga, the article clearly said its a LOCAL bridge. There are more than 10 major roads connecting Anambra and Imo states. The driver was stupid to have decided to climb that tiny bridge with a full trailer load of cement. That tells the kind of dumb people we have on the roads driving heavy duty vehicles, people who can't make very simple rational decisions like this. No wonder Dangote trucks keep sending hundreds of Nigerians to death every year. |
kolawoleibukun:You are such a stinking, bigoted, hateful, ignorant Yoruba scum! Who asked you to write this purulent rubbish about an entire tribe? Why not tell us about the thousands of ritualists Yoruba land especially Ogun and Osun states churn out. For your information, Anambra is one of the top 12 most populous states in Nigeria, and has the 2nd highest population density after Lagos. What else do you want? How many more people do you want to force themselves into the tiny landmass? Have you actually been to Anambra? If you have, you will realise that the state has very good state roads linking all the communities. The only 'issue' is that there are only few dual carriage roads, but is that really a problem? You talk of Igbos not wanting to help their neighbors, and I ask, which tribes like helping more than Igbos? Why do you think Igbo land has the largest proportion of middle class families in Nigeria and fewer people who are very poor? It's because when someone succeeds in business, he gets his brothers, cousins, neighbours etc to serve him for a few years and are thereafter settled into the trade. That is how many families have been lifted from poverty. Again, it's in Igbo land these days that you will see community scholarship schemes, just to encourage all those who get admission into the higher institutions but cannot fund their studies to go to school. In my home town, there are several of such now. Igbos lost almost everything after the civil war and yet 50 years down the line, they have caught up with and overtaken many of the other tribes. You think this feat was achieved with the spirit of animosity rather than oneness? About Igbos developing other regions, you make little to no sense. Many of those guys building houses and buying up properties in Lagos or other cities went to those cities without anything. They made their money there, and are also making several millions from their investments. Even those who only built or bought houses as their residence are at least saving the money they would have been paying as rent. If they built those houses in the east, they wouldn't make as much money cos they population is not there. Its still the same way an Ekiti man will rather own a house in Lagos than Ado Ekiti cos the population is in Lagos. It has nothing to do with Yoruba land. But let me clear this for you, most Igbo traders who are successful in their businesses build duplexes in their villages, especially those of Anambra extraction. You people should stop saying that rubbish. Igbos are not deserting their land. We are business oriented, and because the South East is more than saturated with markets and shops, people look out for other virgin lands to go and ply their trade. Its all about buying and selling. My cousin served at Malam Fotori in Borno state more than 10 years ago. Despite the town being 6 hours from Maiduguri and close to the borders of Chad and Niger, there were many Igbos living there who were traders, helping to sustain the economic life of that area. Those guys who were mainly chemists have very fine houses in their own home towns. The bridge in question is one of over ten major linkages between Anambra and Imo states. The driver in question would have used a better road, for example the dual carriage Onitsha – Owerri Road to access the town he was going to, but he most likely wanted to take a short cut, without putting his common sense to use. There are many other roads linking the different communities that share a boundary between Anambra and Imo (Google Map will clear your doubt). The driver could have used any of those roads cos most if not all of them are good. |
ovadozes:Oga, that's for ọta akara (kindergarten) and maybe primary 1. I did my primary school in rural settings in the South East. As at primary 2, we were reading Macmillan English Course comprehension passages and answering the questions. I remember this passage: Ali and Omo went to fetch water. Ali saw a bird flying. I know a story about the bird, he said. One day, the bird asked his mother for some money, she gave him some. The next day, he asked sorts some more money, she gave him some more. The next day he asked for some more money, the mother said no, she would not give him any more money. The bird was angry. He took up his mother and threw her into the fire... In primary 3, we were reading "Edet lives in Calabar, he is eight years old..." |
CheedyJ:Not famzing bro. I have a standing relationship with him presently (forget that I mentioned our past encounter). Moreover, I have been of help to him much more than he has been of help to me. I can't give you details. |
kramer:David is at least 6' 2" |
Happy birthday Dave. I remember our days in Noble Teens at Dominion City Onitsha. |
May their souls rest in peace. @OP, a score equals 20, so if you say scores, you're referring to a number above 40. |
kaen1317:Just like people say about Abiola. Who knows how his tenure would have been, if he was allowed to rule. But anyway, being a Yoruba man, he would never have been one tenth as terrible as Buhari. |
Purewatermeji:Wow! Protest against killing of innocent Nigerians, and u're only concerned about some stupid, idiotic Islamic symbols...? Shame on you. |
Cromcruach91:Get your PVC first. By this time in 2014, it wasn't obvious Buhari would displace Jonathan. |
CilicMarin:Ngeneukwuewu... The only job you have is creating useless monikers to make stupid posts on Nairaland. Shame on you. |
May the judgement of God rest on those behind these killings. May they know no peace for the rest of their lives in Jesus name. |
BanevsJoker:The sexual harassment she had some years back might have negatively affected her view of men. That may actually be the root of her feminism. Rarely do you see a lady who has always enjoyed a loving and pleasant relationship with all the men in her life and all those that have come around her become a feminist. |
larion:That thing weak me, I swear. |
larion:Hahahaha. You no just well. No be only BBN Miracle, even CeeC join sef. ![]() Never say never sha. Anything is still possible. |
larion:Yeah. As much as I hate to admit it, Buhari will still win in 2019, and his 2nd tenure will be much more brutal. It's a sad reality. Only a miracle can take him out of Aso Rock. |
StaffofOrayan:Bros, that report is 11 years old. Tinubu hadn't bought him, and Sahara Reporters wasn't popular then. |
![]() larion: ![]() Alright, but he should expose Tinubu the more. ![]() |
