TRANSLATION: "Why are we being slaves in our fathers' land, why are we being enslaved in our own land? The people that call themselves Senators & leaders will be going in traffic & see 4 & 5 year olds selling popcorn & puff-puff & they will buy & eat, have you seen that they are not worthy to be called leaders, therefore we reject them as leaders. The Yorubas that are everywhere are larger than most countries, therefore we call on the global community & United Nations to come & separate us, we are no longer interested in being part of Nigeria before this becomes war, they need to intervene, because we want to go. As it stands now, we are no longer under Nigeria. If they don't intervene, it will go beyond control. We have gone beyond the point where we keep quiet, we are no longer scared to voice out. We are not safe anywhere, we can't sleep in peace, we can't travel in peace, what have we done? Are we slaves? We don't do wrong by existing, we only chose wrong leaders and we are saying enough of enough! It's tinker in Lagos, apapa, the directors are Fulani men. The two ports we have, the controllers are Fulanis we don't want them anymore! Seme boarders we don't want Fulanis there anymore! When Baba finish talking now,we the Yorubas here will have a crucial meeting,we are going to open the borders, let's start allowing goods to enter! The borders that NIGERIAN Government closed, we are opening it all, we are no longer interested in being part of Nigeria! Whatever you want to do to us, we are ready! I'm talking to Yoruba indigenes! You can stand aside & say there is no unity among us, but touch a single Yoruba man, you will see that we are united. All our Kings are solidly behind us, any of them that want to deny is should make a press conference, let's see. He won't see the light of the next day! My advice to the Yorubas in the North is to find your way back home. Start coming home, it is time! We have suffered enough, let's not fight among each other, let's Unite for a common cause, it is time to come home. That's all I have to say". - Sunday Igboho, Ibadan, 17th March, 2021

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has a notorious suspected drug trafficker, Hassan Taiwo, with three parcels of cocaine concealed in a false bottom created in his suitcase. Mr Femi Babafemi, who is the Director of Media and Advocacy at the agency, disclosed this in a statement on Monday. He noted that the suspect was arrested by operatives of the agency at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA). According to the statement, preliminary investigations reveal that Hassan who was intercepted at the E-Arrival hall of the MMIA at the weekend, upon arrival onboard Ethiopian airlines at 1:30pm Friday, has been plying the illicit trade through the middle east routes for some time. “The suspect came into Nigeria through Addis-Ababa but he actually travelled to Addis-Ababa from Abuja,” the Commander of MMIA NDLEA Command, Ahmadu Garba, was quoted as saying in a statement. He added, “Upon a thorough search, we discovered another ticket on him while our findings also show that he has been plying his criminal trade through some Middle East countries.” In the same vein, narcotic officers attached to a courier company in Lagos were said to have intercepted 500grammes of unaccompanied cocaine going to the United Arab Emirates and concealed inside the walls of packed cartons containing clothes. The operatives also intercepted in another courier firm one kilogramme of cannabis concealed in cream bottles going to UAE, while 500grammes of ketamine hidden in artefacts and going to the US was recovered from the same company in Lagos. Another 480grammes of unaccompanied methamphetamine going to China was recovered from the same courier company. Elsewhere, operatives of the Anambra State Command of the agency recovered 58.5 grammes of cocaine and 13.9 grammes of heroine concealed in the palace of a prominent traditional ruler in the state. The NDLEA commander in the state, Muhammadu Idris, noted that investigations were ongoing to unravel how the illicit drugs were hidden in the palace. He added that the palace security guards were helping the agency to trace the dealer behind the consignment. In his reaction, the Chairman of the NDLEA, Brigadier-General Buba Marwa, commended the personnel involved in the operations for their vigilance and urged them not to relent in the fight against drug abuse in the country. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aii6rXyoDCM https://www.channelstv.com/2021/03/08/ndlea-arrests-notorious-drug-trafficker-recovers-cocaine-hidden-in-monarchs-palace/ |
Nigeria can be divided without any war. Many countries have separated peacefully. So, i don't understand why the Sultan of Sokoto & others always bring up the issue of war torn countries when the issue of disintegration of Nigeria is discussed. |
Everything the poor masses benefits from is what this govt concentrate on taxing. They want to tax the masses to their grave. The govt will not tax all the big, empty buildings and unoccupied estates in Abuja. |
Bennycollins:If the uncommon Governor Akpabio did tow your line of thought & reasoning. I don't think Akwa Ibom will be habitable, especially, Uyo. |
Until we go back to the way God commanded us to live as husband & wife,we'll continue to experience this type of news. Ephesians 5:33 ► "Nevertheless, let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband". Husband,If you love your wife, you won't disparage her. Wife, Even if you are more wealthy or ahead of your husband in the society, you must respect him. Women are not supposed to love their husbands but to respect him, Also,Men are not suppose to respect their wives but to love them as himself. |
COdeGenesis:Don't mind them. Udom Emmanuel really dey fall people hand for Akwa Ibom |
Dhomesz:The governor is not making anybody proud. His concentration is basically on his hometown. Thank God for what the uncommon Senator Godswill Akpabio did for Akwa Ibom as a governor. |
This Malami boy will disgrace alot of henchmen in the South & their supporters in the North. Their target has been mapped out already for prosecution. |
Senator Godswill Akpabio really tried for Uyo, but this present governor Udom Emmanuel no dey try at all. Uyo is too enclose for liking. Pls don't argue unnecessary if you've not been to Uyo. |
I traveled to Abia state for the first time last week and i was surprised to see a delapidated bridge built by the British during the colonial era. The governor and all the politicians in the state should be ashamed of themselves that a bridge in such a pathetic condition still exist in the state. This location is along Umuahia to Ohofia.

There is a government in West Africa that loves cows more than its citizens. It is no other than the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress. The love for cows and herdsmen by the Buhari regime knows no bound. While this is understood, because the Nigerian President is a proud cattle farmer, who hails from the Fulani extraction who are predominantly pastoral farmers and cattle dealers, it is not yet clear why some state governors are also of the same character. In Nigeria, the high rate of insecurity has been compounded by some notorious Fulani herdsmen and the failure of the Buhari regime to deal decisively with them. Gun-wielding herdsmen have been accused of killing farmers, grabbing farmland and attacking villages across the country in desperation for greener pastures. The killing in different parts of the country and the sacred treatment of killer herdsmen by the Buhari regime is currently increasing ethnic, regional and religious tension in the country. Just recently, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, reportedly ordered the arrest of one Sunday Adeyemo, a popular Yoruba activist better known as Sunday Igboho, for issuing a quit notice to herdsmen in Ibarapa town of Oyo State. Igboho had asked herdsmen in Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State to leave the area within seven days when it was obvious the government and security agencies were treating herdsmen with kid gloves following incessant reports of killing and kidnapping of defenceless Oyo citizens by these people. Igboho had blamed the herdsmen in Ibarapa especially of the Fulani extraction, including Saliu Kadri, the Seriki Fulani in the environment, of being behind the rising insecurity in the area. Meanwhile, before the community resorted to self-help by inviting Igboho, the people were already helpless and hopeless following the lackadaisical and reluctant attitude of government and security agencies to respond to distress calls due to the Buhari regime’s love for cows and herdsmen. It was sad and very disappointing that the same government that could not fish out killer herdsmen in Ibarapa and refused to arrest some prime suspects and killer herdsmen as alleged by community leaders in the area, was very quick to declare the arrest of Igboho who was on a rescue mission to rid the community of crime, a proof that the Buhari regime loves cows and herdsmen more than its citizens. According to the BBC, on Monday, January 1, 2018, Fulani herdsmen through Miyetti Allah, the umbrella organisation of cattle herders in Nigeria, claimed responsibility for the attack on some communities in Benue State, which claimed the lives of over 20 residents. To date, no executive member of the group that claimed responsibility for such a heinous crime was arrested, a proof that the Buhari regime loves cow than the citizens. So also, many residents of Ketu-speaking villages in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State were brutalised by some soldiers alleged to have escorted herdsmen to graze on people’s farmland in the communities, prompting residents, some elected representatives and monarchs to cry out for government help about four weeks ago. Till date, none of the herdsmen and the so-called soldiers was arrested – a proof that the Buhari loves cows and herdsmen more than the citizens. In defending cows and herdsmen, a governor from the north said this: “Because the Fulani man is practising the tradition of pastoralism, he has been exposed to the vagaries of the forest; cattle rustlers who carry guns kill him and take away his commonwealth, which is the cows. He has no option than to carry AK47 because the society and the government are not protecting him. What is his fault; it’s the fault of the government and the people. You don’t criminalise all of them, because, in every tribe, there are criminals.” Above was a statement credited to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State in defence of herdsmen who go about with Ak47 rifle in the name of protecting cows; another proof that the Buhari regime loves cows than its citizens. Not quite long, the Buhari regime condemned Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s of Ondo State for giving an ultimatum to herdsmen to vacate Ondo forest reserves in his quest to create a database. The governor called for the registration of all the herdsmen in the state as part of his moves to end banditry, kidnapping and herders/farmers conflict currently claiming more lives than the Boko Haram insurgency across Nigeria. Unfortunately, a government that swore to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians, which has failed in that obligation, quickly rushed to the press to condemn Akeredolu’s action through a statement issued by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity. Is that also not a proof that the Buhari regime loves cows and herdsmen more than the citizens? On February 19, 2021, some leaders of the Ifon community in the Ose local government area of Ondo State protested against the invitation of their four elders by the police over the alleged killing of a cow. The community leaders said they were surprised that the police were pursuing supposed killers of cows when they had yet to unravel those who killed their traditional ruler, the Oluifon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi. The action of the police looks very funny but it’s indeed a proof that the Buhari regime loves cows and herdsmen more than the citizens. As I write, hundreds of military operatives have launched heavy attacks on the camps of the Eastern Security Network, a voluntary group at the forefront of the struggle to curb the criminal activities of herdsmen and their cows in some parts of the forest of Orlu and Orsu, in Imo State following the failure of the Nigerian government in arresting and prosecuting killer herdsmen across the country. What more proofs do we need again to know that the Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari loves cows and herdsmen more than its citizens? https://punchng.com/a-govt-that-loves-cows-more-than-its-citizens/?amp=1 |
The Fulani have emasculated the Hausa politically. Now, they want to impoverished them financially by stopping them to earn from their AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE Show me a FULANI Farmer and I will show you IGBO herdsmen. Fulani are not and will never farm. Buhari & Sheikh Gumi has succeeded in their quest in sectionalizing the Nigeria Army. |
This is not soccer where Super Falcons battered Nzalang Femenino of Equatorial Guinea 9-0 in Turkey. It smells like a game and the best way to describe it is nine kpondo in pidgin. I am talking about appointments in Nigeria Paramilitary Agencies. The situation report is that all nine paramilitary organisations are headed by officers from the Northern part of the country. The South is left empty handed which is a strange development at this time when all forms of strange faces are roaming the forests with the best of military weapons. It is difficult to say how things got to this level without the relevant checks and balances being applied either through the legislature or through wise counsel. In the last two weeks, new appointments were announced by the ministry of Interior. There are nine first grade paramilitary bodies, comprising the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Customs Service, Nigerian Correctional ( Prisons) Service, the Nigerian Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service. Also included are the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Federal Road Safety Commission, the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.(EFCC). All these are headed by Northerners. Mohammed Adamu, from Nasarawa State is the Inspector General of Police whose tenure expired recently. The Customs Service has a retired Army officer, Hameed Ali, from Bauchi as Comptroller General. Haliru Nababa, is the man mandated to take charge as Controller General of the former Prisons Service now known as Correctional Service. He hails from Sokoto. From Jigawa State is Comptroller General of Immigration , Muhammed Babandede. Liman Alhaji from Niger, is Chief Federal Fire Officer. Abubakar Audi, a Nasarawa man, heads the Civil Defence Corps as Commandant General while Kwara’s Boboye Oyeyemi serves as Corps Marshal, FRSC. Mohammed Buba Marwa is Chairman NDLEA, Abdulrasheed Bawa occupies same position in the EFCC. The former hails from Adamawa State, the latter, Kebbi State. These are the men who run the show in the country’s paramilitary agencies. It is unthinkable that such appointments went unnoticed by many while all eyes were on the appointment of Service Chiefs for the military. Federal Character was adhered to when President Muhammadu Buhari chose two generals from the South and two from the North. Chief of Defence Staff, Lucky Irabor, emerged from Delta State. The Chief of Air Staff, Isiaka Amao, is an Oshogbo man from Osun State. Both officers are Southerners. Army Chief, Ibrahim Attahiru and his Navy counterpart Awwal Gambo are from the North, precisely, Kaduna and Kano respectively. Insecurity is a huge problem in the country and all hands are supposed to be on deck to fight it especially when there are confirmed reports of foreigners occupying forests, from Zamfara to Oyo. This has led to division along ethnic lines. That is why we all should be concerned about appointments that tend to ignore the Federal Character Principle completely. The Legislature must find a way to address this imbalance as it has an important role to play in this regard. What baffles me is that the Ministry of Interior which manages Correctional Service, Immigration, Fire Brigade and Civil Defence is headed by a Southerner, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, an Ijesha, from Osun State. In the last one week, he has presided over the nomination of Haliru Nababa as Controller General of NCoS and Ahmed Audi as Commandant General, NSCDC. For a man who served as commissioner in Lagos State for eight years, it does not smell sweet that he has failed to stem lopsided appointments in his ministry. If there is a place to change the narrative, it is the Correctional Service. The Senate will be scoring very low marks in confirming Nababa as Controller General. Doing that will further fuel fears of domination by the North. It is never late to put things right. While we could allow the confirmation of Bawa as EFCC chairman for professional reasons, the same cannot be said of the NCoS. Bawa’s appointment is recognition of one of the recommendations of the Justice Ayo Salami Panel that investigated the EFCC and its immediate past Chairman, Ibrahim Magu. Salami had submitted that after Magu no police officer should head the EFCC. Bawa is not a policeman. He joined the anti graft agency in 2005 as pioneer cadet. It is also to Magu’s credit that the young man was allowed to excel because officers seconded from the police were sidelined. One take away from all these appointments is that the South-East has been deliberately ignored. This is most unfair. We are talking of the North grabbing all nine top Paramilitary jobs. One of these jobs should be handed over to an officer of South-East extraction. You cannot beat a baby and stop it from crying. Crocodiles should not continue to smile in the South-East while the people are crying. If this is not marginalization then Abuja is not the capital of Nigeria. I expect those who are preaching peace to find a way round this frustration. The Southern part of Nigeria must not be reduced to the monkey that does all the job and gets overlooked when promotion comes. The South-East is not asleep. All eyes are open waiting for fair play. Yes, Marwa’s first wife is from Owerri. Bawa attended Government Secondary School, Owerri. Adamu served in Mgbidi. That is good news. The big story is to have an Igbo Controller General. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/02/paramilitary-north-9-south-0/ |

Following the rising agitation over marginalization and the fearless moves of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the various states of the South-East and his alleged declaration to boycott the November 18th governorship election in Anambra state by Biafrans if referendum is not conducted, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister for Aviation has gone into reminiscing via his tweeter handle the posits of Gen. Philip Effiong, in 1970. Gen. Effiong the alleged first Vice President and the second President of the now defunct Republic of Biafra during the Nigerian Civil War of 1967 to 1970, has said that Nigeria should ” Treat the surrendering Biafrans well or risk their children rising again” Today undoubtedly his prophetic postulation has come to stay in Nigeria. The alleged marginalization and sufferings of Igbos has triggered Nnamdi Kanu into flouting his bail conditions attributing such disobedience to the likes of president Buhari and others. According to him, he has chosen to die for the liberation of his people. Envisaging on the movement for the actualization of Biafra Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode tweeted again, ” Oduduwa Republic shall be established no more than 6 months after Biafra has been created. Then we shall be free. See his tweets: “Treat the surrendering Biafrans well or risk their children rising again”- Gen. Phillip Effiong, 1970. Prophetic words. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/treat-the-surrendering-biafrans-well-or-risk-their-children-rising-gen-effiong826855/amp/ |
