Over here in Abuja people enjoy as much as 18hrs to 22hrs . It's no big deal except in periods where it's a national blackout thing or it rains extensively.

I don't get the joke . As a safety precaution, there's not supposed to be any electrical power when maintenance or disconnection of any form is being carried out. It is standard practice to isolate any source of power before working on it.
